Chapter 663
What is going on?”
That was the last thought that flashed through Debra’s mind before everything went dark.
She didn’t know if they were sent by Edgar or Drake. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.
“The guard will be back any minute. Should we just take care of her here?” Gavin suggested, making a slicing gesture across his neck.
“No. We gotta follow the rules. The client wants her to disappear without a trace. I say we throw her into the sea,” Lennox responded, pulling out his phone.
He snapped a quick picture of the unconscious Debra and sent it to Reece.
“Alright, let’s do it your way. Once the client confirms, we’ll finish the job.”
“Take her away.”
Gavin opened a large suitcase they had brought with them, shoving Debra’s limp body inside.
As they wheeled the suitcase towards the elevator, both men seemed on edge. This was their first time handling a job like this, but the thought of the huge payout in the end kept them motivated.
The elevator dinged. The bodyguard stepped out with the takeout, and when he saw the two men, there was an awkward moment of eye contact.
“What are you looking at?” Lennox snapped, glaring at the bodyguard.
With that, they pulled the suitcase into the elevator.
The bodyguard frowned suspiciously. He walked up to Debra’s room and knocked.
“Ms. Frazier?”
There was no response.
He knocked again, louder this time. “Ms. Frazier?”
Still, silence.
The bodyguard groaned and rushed to knock on Drake’s door.
Drake opened it, his expression cold and impatient. Helloosened his tie and glared at the bodyguard.
“Didn’t I tell you to keep an eye on Debra? What is it?”
“Mr. Lowe, I think something happened to Ms. Frazier.
Drake’s eyes narrowed in suspicion. He stepped out of his room and knocked on Debra’s door, his voice. dripping with imitation.
“Debra, open the door.”
“I knocked for a while, but there was no response. Something might have happened, or she ran away.”
Drake’s gaze darkened. No one had ever been able to run from him. All that needed to find her was an
order from him.
“Check the surveillance.”
“Got it.”
The hotel manager soon arrived, pulling up the security footage on a laptop in front of Drake.
He said, “Ms. Frazier and you are the only customers on this floor, and Mr. Odom instructed us to disable all security cameras. As for the other floors and the lobby, there’s no sign of Ms. Frazier in the last half hour.”
“Hold on,” the bodyguard called out, pointing to the screen. “Who are those two men?”
The manager glanced at Drake nervously. “Those should be Mr. Lowe’s men.”
Earlier that day, the manager had seen those two talking to Drake,
Drake’s eyes landed on the suitcase one of the men was carrying, and he fell into deep thought.
“Mr. Lowe, I saw these two guys when I came back with the takeout. Were they here to meet with you?” the bodyguard asked.
Drake’s suspicion deepened. Rising from his chair, he pulled out his phone and called his men, “Regarding
