Chapter 68 Bastard, Stop It
Chapter 68 Bastard, Stop It
The Chu family, along with Derek, then ate together. From time to time, Andrew and Derek told silly Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
jokes at the table to cheer Cherry up because she was almost mute. Jackson looked at her, filled her
plate with delicious food, and hoped that she would be happy.
Andrew and Derek understood Jackson, and they tried their best to put a smile on Cherry's face.
The jokes she heard at the table considerably relieved her distress and brought light to her face. She
felt better after lunch, and realized that if she stopped immersing herself in her painful thoughts, she
wouldn't suffer so much.
Jackson saw Cherry staring out on the balcony. He walked towards her and hugged her from behind,
and whispered in her ear, "Baby, what are you thinking about?"
His question broke Cherry's musing. She said, "Nothing, I just feel a bit tired."
After he heard her answer, Jackson carefully replied, "How about we go in our bedroom?"
Cherry nodded. She was indeed sleepy, and resting in the bedroom was an ideal choice.
Inside the bedroom, Jackson put a quilt on Cherry, and didn't leave until she fell asleep.
He then went to the parlor, and found Andrew and Derek sitting there. Jackson could tell from Andrew's
eyes that he wanted to ask him something.
Jackson sat down on the sofa.
Andrew was worried, and asked, "Jackson, how's Cherry?" He noticed that Cherry was in a weak
condition, and that she didn't eat much at lunch.
"She's fine. She said she was tired and needed to take a nap, " said Jackson.
Derek stared at Jackson, and said, "Jackson, I can't help but ask you, but are you sure about your
decision regarding Jean Shen?"
Derek couldn't let it go, and wanted to persuade Jackson to reconsider, because he didn't want to
sentence Jean to death.
Jackson seriously looked at him, and said, "Do I need to repeat myself again?"
"But she, she's…" started Derek again, but Jackson quickly got angry before he finished his words.
Jackson suddenly roared, "Derek Lu, are you trying to lecture me?"
Derek didn't dare to speak again, and instead turned to Andrew.
Andrew pondered for a while, and he knew what his grandson wanted to do with Jean. Would Jackson
actually stand by and do nothing, when Jean caused both Emily's death and Cherry's depression? That
wasn't Jackson if he answered yes to that question.
"Jackson, are you sure? After all, she's just a woman. Don't you think that's too much?" asked Andrew.
"Grandpa, " said Jackson, firmly, "What would you have done if your own grandson's wife had died?"
Andrew was rendered speechless. He thought that it wouldn't have ended well for anyone if Cherry had
been the one killed. There was a price to pay for provoking people coming from the Chu family.
Derek also stopped talking.
After some time, Jackson turned to Derek, and ordered, "You have three days to make her disappear."
Derek then looked at Andrew and slightly nodded, because Andrew didn't oppose Jackson's decision.
Then agreed on this, and then Andrew asked, "Well, Jackson, how about Sally?"
Jackson was shocked when he heard the word Sally. He hadn't seen Sally in a long time, because
none of them had ever tried to contact each other, and he didn't think of her, because he cared for
Cherry.
Jackson told Andrew and Derek the truth, because he had nothing to hide. "We haven't kept in touch, "
he said.
Derek also said, "I haven't seen her recently, either. Does she still live in the city?"
When he heard them, Andrew couldn't find his words to tell them what was on his mind.
Derek noticed Andrew's countenance, and it seemed that indeed Andrew didn't know how to put his
thoughts into words.
"Grandpa, what are you trying to tell us?" asked Derek.
Derek's question intrigued Jackson, and he turned his gaze to Andrew.
Andrew looked back at Jackson, but didn't speak his true thoughts. Instead, he said, "Jackson, you
know about what I'm worried, don't you? Now that you have Cherry by your side, you should take good
care of her. Don't ever let her down."
Andrew's worry was reasonable. Sally had been Jackson's favorite, but now Cherry was Jackson's
wife.
Jackson looked at Andrew, and firmly said, "Grandpa, believe me when I say that I'll take care of
Cherry for the rest of my life."
Andrew nodded, and believed in Jackson, however, this wasn't his worry. He was worried about
something else, but he couldn't say it, because he was afraid that Jackson would do terrible things, and
even hurt other innocent people.
Andrew pondered for a long time, and finally asked, "Jackson, Derek, have you seen anyone from the
An family?"
Jackson and Derek looked at each other because of Andrew's question.
"Are you referring to Stephen An?" guessed Derek. He knew that Stephen An was the only one alive in
the An family.
Andrew then unveiled all of his investigation results. He said, "He works in the entertainment business,
and I heard that the power of the underworld has also at the same time increased."
Jackson pondered for a short while, and said, "We've met each other before. No matter how much
power he has, he can't beat us."
"Indeed, no one else from the An family survived except him, but he still needs to pay a big price for
being against us, " said Derek.
Andrew didn't say anything, and thought that Jackson and Derek simplified the problem. He had
passed through similar events in the past, and he knew that if something ever broke out, it would be
more complicated than they could ever imagine. However, in order to protect them from the
unnecessary pain, he couldn't unveil all the things he knew.
Jackson saw that Andrew was still worried, and said, "Grandpa, please don't worry, it'll be fine; I can
handle Stephen An."
Derek echoed him, and said, "Yes, grandpa, don't worry. Stephen won't cause any trouble if Jackson
and I keep an eye on him."
Andrew nodded, but deep in his heart he was still worried.
In the afternoon, Jackson and Cherry went back home together, and Derek returned to the barracks
alone.
Jackson took Cherry to their bedroom as soon as they arrived at home, and laid her on the bed.
"What are you doing?" she asked. Cherry was a bit surprised when she saw that Jackson was in such
of a hurry, but she more or less knew about his true purpose.
Jackson looked at Cherry with love, and said, "Baby, I want to be a 'devil' this time."
He then came closer to her to kiss her, but she stopped him.
Cherry stopped him with her hand, and slightly said, "I'm in a blue moon, stop it!"
"But I can't help it, " said Jackson, while he started to move again.
"Jackson Chu!" shouted Cherry.
After he heard her, Jackson finally controlled himself, stopped, and looked at Cherry.
Cherry was also looking at Jackson, and continued, "Stop it now, or don't touch me for the rest of your
life!"
After he heard her, Jackson was helpless, and even though he really wanted to do it, he had to control
himself. Eventually after he kissed her, he stopped.
