THE COLD FEELING on her skin woke Helga up. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Siegren wiping her body with a wet towel, his hand instinctively stopping as soon as he noticed that he was awake. He then pursed hi towel before caressing her cheeks, worried and guilt-ridden clea in his features. "How are you feeling?" he asked, thumb moving gently against her pale checks.
"I'm feeling fine, how about you?" Helga glanced out the window and noticed that it was already morning. After that, she turned her attention back to Sicgren, "Has the effect of the curse returned after we got home last night?" "No." Siegren shook his head, but of course, it was a lie because after he placed her on the bed, he quickly confined and chained himself to make sure he wouldn't go on a rampage. The pain he experienced last night was excruciating; it nearly made him unconscious. Thankfully, it seemed Helga did not suffer the same agony since they had mated during the full 1110011
"I will ask for the head maid to prepare breakfast for you. We can discuss matters once you have finished your meal." A small smile crept onto his face, and Helga nodded in response. She fell a sense of fear wash over her, dreading the moment when Siegren would finally tell his decision about letting her go. She was anxious to hear the reason he wanted to speak with her.
Yesterday must have been a nightmare for him, and the guilt he was feeling increased ten times over after he knotted her. Honestly, she was surpised by his actions because she didn't expect it to happen at all, but she couldn't bring herself to hate it either/In fact, a sense of relief washed over her knowing that if she got pregnant, there was no way Siegren would entertain the thought of rejecting or divorcing her. Helga was acutely aware of how twisted her thoughts were, but in this moment, she refused to consider the knotting any negative.
Siegren is not only her mate and husband but also her Alpha, so she doesn't see anything wrong with him knotting her out of the blue. She understood very well that he wasn't in his right state of mind, and besides, she's been ready to bear his child for a while now because that's how much she loved him. Her reasoning may be irrational or even somewhat insane, but her love for him overrides all logic.
"Are you not going to eat?" Helga took a bite of her waffle and glanced over at Siegren, who sat silently watching her. They were both still in their bed chambers, sitting on the sofa with breakfast spread out before them.
"I already ate, so go ahead... You need to eat to replenish your strength," he responded in a gentle tone, and she simply nodded in response. The air between them was filled with silence as the only noise came from Helga's chewing and swallowing. Siegren seemed to have no desire to discuss the important matters that needed to be addressed until Helga finished her meal. However, the silence became unbearable for Helga, and she couldn't take it any longer, so she brought up the topic herself. "How did you find me yesterday?" she asked, looking at him straight in the eye

set her fork down on the plate and wiped her mouth with a table napkin.
"As long as you bear my mark and stay within the capital, I can easily locate you," he answered. "But I was able to find you faster because I knew that you would be in the hidden garden for a breather. And as soon as I arrived there, I felt your presence inside the forest." "I see," Helga nodded, "Have you looked into the identity of my attackers and their motives?"
"They were warriors from the Silver Pack. Lucian was already on a mission to find and interrogate their beta and Alpha, possibly even capture them" Siegren took a deep, steadying breath as he mentally prepared himself for what he was about to do. He slowly rose from his seat and strode over to Helga, his heart pounding in his chest. With gentle hands, he knelt before her and took her delicate hands in his own. Helga's eyes widened in surprise, curious as to what was going on. "Why are you kneeling? Get up. A king shouldn't- 45 FIL, UCE TO Chapter 99
"No." he shook his head pressing his lips against her palms, "I want to express my apology in this way. I regret trying to push you away again because I was afraid of the consequences of drafting your life." "Esuppose old habits are tough to break. But that's no excuse for acting impulsively and not considering your feelings, it wasn't fan to you, he added, and Helga just listened intently, she could tell how much this was weighing on his mind, and regretting what he did yesterday. "I regret my actions of trying to push you away, thinking it was the best way to keep you safe. I know I've apologized countless times before for the same reason, but I assure you this will be the final time because I am committed to not making that mistake again.....

"I will do my best to overcome the fear that clouds my judgment and have a conversation with you in order to find a better solution instead of distancing myself from you." He carried on, his eyes shimmering with unshed tears as he gazed up at her with such earnestness and honesty that Helga couldn't help but feel a chill run down her spine. "I realized how much I don't deserve you, but I will put in every effort to become a better person so I can be deserving of your love."
"I know my curse has caused you pain, and this may sound selfish, but please endure it for a little while longer. I will do anything to break this curse and live a normal life with you." His hands trembled as he reached for hers again, gently placing them on his warm cheeks. The touch of his skin and the tenderness in his eyes caused Helga's own to well up with tears. At that moment, all the fear and doubt she had been feeling vanished, replaced by overwhelming love and a sense of security. She knew without a doubt that he cared deeply for her and would do anything to spend the rest of his life by her side-unfortunately, fear and guilt always seemed seemed to win over him. And he him. And he seriously needs to fix that. "I am willing to wait for however long it t
making her want to hold him close and cakes, and I'll stick by your side even if your curse never gets lifted." Helga leaned in close to him, her gentle hand reaching up to wipe away the tear that escaped down his cheek. Seeing him cry like this tugged at her heartstrings,
I never let go. She would always be there for him, understanding and willing to weather any challenges that came their way, just to be by his side.
"If Gabriel wasn't the one who could help you with the curse, I know someone who could have helped you instead. That is if she was still alive," she said, causing Siegren to blink a few times, confused about her words.
Helga's heart was pounding in her chest, the anticipation of revealing the final secret she had been hiding from Siegren making her feel lightheaded. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come. Her hand trembled as it reached our to grasp his, pulling him to make him sit on her side instead of kneeling. Once he was settled by her side, she laced their fingers together and wiped away the tears that escaped her eyes with her other hand. "What you mean? Who are you referring to?" what do
"I'm sorry. When I told you my true identity, I intentionally left out one important detail about my bloodline." Helga braced herself, inhaling deeply as she met Siegren's bewildered expression head on. She forced herself to swallow, hoping he wouldn't view her differently after hearing what she was about to say. "My bloodline may be of royal descent, but there is another type of blood coursing through my veins. This is another secret that only the members of the Royal Blood pack are aware of."
"W-what is it?" Siegren stumbled over his words, feeling the tension in the room grow even thicker. He didn't expect her to have any secrets left to reveal, but he couldn't bring himself to ask how many more she was hiding from him. Meanwhile, Helga closed her eyes when she saw the uncertainty in Siegren's face and tried to control her rising anxiety and uneasiness. She had to get it over with sooner rather than later so, she drew in a steady breath before opening her eyes and facing Siegren, staring deep into his soul. "My mother... She's a grand witch, and I could be the one that Gabriel has been searching for."
