Chapter 7: The Dark Alpha's Attack
Melissa's POV
The terror in my eyes vanished as quickly as it had appeared, my body rising and falling with the rhythm of his breathing.
"Elliott, let me go! Are you trying to prove to your mate that you no longer have feelings. for me by treating me this way? Don't worry, with you and Aaron gone for over a month, Courteney has likely stopped seeing me as a rival." With a swift roll, I broke free from his grip and stood up.
To my surprise, he reached out for me again, and I instinctively flinched, fearing he would
hit me.
But instead, the familiar embrace enveloped me as Elliott held me in his arms.
He rubbed my back soothingly, kissing my ear.
"Melissa, please stop putting pressure on me! You don't have my fate, so you can't understand how it feels. Your actions will only lead more people to disrespect me. I refuse to become a man like Swan or Daniel. I beg you, don't force me to turn into a jerk!" His voice trembled, as if he were on the verge of begging me
"No matter what I do, it won't change the current situation, will it? You make love every night, and Aaron thinks of her as his mother. You even expect me to be grateful for this arrangement. Right, Elliott? You've found unprecedented happiness, yet you've destroyed.
1. me.
Hearing the unexpected calmness in my voice, Elliott didn't say much; he merely tightened his grip on my arm.
In the past, whenever he looked down like this, I would have given in or pulled him into
an embrace.
Now, my response was ice-cold.
"Let me go. I want to leave."
I spoke seriously, but he just shook his head.
"No! No Luna has ever been abandoned; it would bring shame upon us both. Besides, Melissa! I love you-
I could hardly believe those words coming from his lips anymore.
"But I no longer need your love."
Tears began to roll down my cheeks, drop by drop.

Elliott scrambled to wipe my tears away, lifting my face to meet his gaze, speaking carnestly.
"I won't let you go, Melissa! I understand how you feel right now, and I know why you've grown close to Atrias. But just give me a chance. Once Courteney is pregnant and has the baby, everything will go back to normal. I'm willing to do anything for you, as long as your stay by my side."
With his voice, my eyes widened, and the tears flowed more freely.
Finally, my lashes could no longer hold the weight of the tears, and they spilled forth in
streams.
"Her child? What about Aaron? What do you expect him to do? He isn't even five yet."
"But I need a strong child to inherit my pack. Melissa, you understand, don't you? I'm begging you, give me another chance. I would do anything for you, just as long as you're willing to stay! Courteney has completely spiraled out of my control; you know I tried for you, but she..."
Elliott leaned in gently, attempting to kiss my eyes and the tip of my nose.
This was once our most intimate gesture.
My body trembled slightly, and my yearning for him reached its peak.
"Last time, Melissa!"
I repeated this to myself.
Outside the house, the horn blared.
Courteney impatiently looked at the darkened room, trying to attract Elliott's attention in that way.
Both of our minds were blank, consumed by our most primal animal instincts.
He pressed himself onto me, gripping both my wrists with one hand and raising them high above my head.
Then, his member thrust into my body again and again, each movement causing the bed to creak violently.
I arched my back, gasping for breath, my fists clenched tightly, and when I tried to speak, my voice was interrupted by the force of his thrusts.
"Touch... touch me...
"Where?"
Elliott's eyes burned crimson, his voice deep and low.
Just as I was about to respond, he rubbed against my sensitive spot, and a wave of

pleasure surged through me, turning my words into lustful moans.
With a powerful thrust, Elliott felt the familiar pleasure he had long missed.
"Don't let me catch you dressed like this again, and I dislike the scent of your perfume."
His whispering voice in my car, filled with intense possessiveness, reminded me that we were still married, and it made me resent him a little less.
As he prepared for another round, the door to the room suddenly burst open.
Courteney's cold brow arched sharply, her gaze disdainfully flickering toward me before quickly looking away.
"We've come under attack, Mr. Kauffman. From the Dark Alpha's wolf pack-the savage packs from the North."
"Courteney, I'm with my wife; you shouldn't barge in like this!"
His eyes darkened, and while his tone was warning, there was no blame or chill in it.
""What happened?"
Elliott quickly dressed, as if nothing had transpired.
"Do you want me to explain everything here?"
Her gaze pierced me like icy needles, but when Elliott turned to face her, her expression returned to normal, though her tone remained devoid of warmth. "It's my fault for interrupting, but this seems to be my territory."
As I walked downstairs without a glance back, Elliott quickly grabbed my arm.
"Melissa is my Luna; she has the right to know these things. We are still married, and even you can't stop me."
"But I am a trained warrior, and I'm carrying your child."
Courteney spoke calmly, then pulled out a pregnancy test in front of me.
It felt as if I had suddenly plunged into an icy river, my limbs turning weak and my mind. foggy.
We had been in love for so long before Aaron came along..
But they had only been together for a month, and Courteney was already pregnant?
"Don't rush, Courteney; you should return to the villa."
Elliott's voice trembled, and just as he finished speaking, alarms blared throughout the
area.

"Why not? I am also a Luna; I should fight for our pack. I believe our child would want the
same."
Walking up to Elliott, Courteney wrapped her arms around his waist.
"No! You can't; we must think of the child."
Elliott caressed the back of her neck, his eyes filled with tenderness, a soft smile playing on his lips.
A surge of energy coursed through me-was this the connection of fate?
After quickly settling Courteney, Elliott even returned to the house to bring me to the
scene.
"Alright, Melissa! We need to relocate and fulfill our duties; let's go fight together!"
I dazedly pulled away from his outstretched hand, the earlier intimacy now turning me into a joke.
"The alarm means the defenses on the meadow have collapsed; the attackers will breach our settlement any moment."
I struggled to shoulder my responsibilities, desperately suppressing my
breath.
But the pain within me felt like a sharp knife, mercilessly tearing at my heart.
I sat in the car like a zombie, while Elliott seemed unsure how to comfort me.
"Let me go...
About ten minutes later, I finally managed to utter those three words with all the strength I could muster.
Elliott could no longer contain his furious roar.
"Stop causing me trouble! Melissa, please, I need a healthy child!"
"Get away! Shut your mouth!"
My chest heaved violently as I sobbed in despair.
"She's carrying your child; you two are the real family. You abandoned Aaron and me- why should I risk myself for you?"
My fists clenched tightly, the hunting instinct within me fully awakened.
"Why can't we try to coexist? You are both my lovers, my Lunas! Melissa, now isn't the time
to-"
Before he could finish his sentence, a man wearing a black mask slammed his knees into our windshield.
