Chapter 29 You Never Believe Me
Chapter 29 You Never Believe Me
Antonio wasn't stupid enough to argue with his uncle in front of outsiders.
So, he listened patiently to his uncle’s discipline. The hatred for Adelaide in his heart increased.
Hanna blamed Antonio a lot to Alvin. Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
Not long after Adelaide married Hanna went abroad and returned a few days ago. Although the two
usually chatted on social software, Adelaide never talked about her family affairs.
She thought after Adelaide married the man of her dreams, she would live a happy life. No wonder she
called Adelaide a few days ago when she came back and asked her to bring her husband to gather,
she always said that her husband was busy with his career.
When she saw what happened to Adelaide today, her heart was in pain.
Under the repeated assurances of his uncle, Hanna calmed down. Thinking that Adelaide was still in
the hospital, she left the Baron Group.
Antonio and Alvin stayed in the office. Alvin finally broke into laughter, and in the midst of his laughter,
Antonio hated Adelaide more!
When Hanna was back at the hospital, Adelaide had woken up. The two girlfriends looked at each
other and hugged each other.
"Hanna, I'm sorry to bother you!"
The first thing they said when they met was an apology. Adelaide was overwhelmed with emotion,
remembering that when she met Hanna, the first thing they said was "Sorry" because they bumped into
each other.
Hanna, however, heartily hugged her even tighter.
"Damn girl, I haven't seen you in a few years and you said sorry to me!"
They had been so close that they ate from the same bowl and wore the same pants.
Adelaide nodded with silence.
The two talked a lot in the ward, including the embarrassing things they did to chase boy at school, or
being punished for copying for not doing their homework.
Adelaide was surprised to find out that she only had Antonio for her entire student years!
After a while, Hanna said that she went to Antonio and beated up his secretary as well as that she gave
his uncle complaint.
Adelaide suddenly felt that something was not right, and she asked uncertainly,
"Uncle? Is it called Alvin?"
Hanna recalled carefully and it seemed to be the name, so she nodded.
A hint of embarrassment visibly flashed across Adelaide's face.
She was sensitive to it and asked.
"Adelaide, what's wrong?"
Adelaide forced a smile. She never talked to Hanna about her family life after marriage, because she
had a terrible life and she didn't want her best friend to worry about herself. Besides, the man was
chosen by herself.
She had nothing to complain, so it was normal for her best friend not to know the private affairs of
Antonio's family. And in front of outsiders, Antonio and Alvin were uncle and nephew.
Although Hanna had made Antonio lose face in front of his uncle this time, she was to help her, so how
could Adelaide blame her best friend?
The two looked like they had a lot to say and kept talking until they were discharged from the hospital
and on the way home.
Antonio, on the other hand, was not in such a good mood. As Alvin refuted his proposal at today's
board meeting, he happened to catch up with Adelaide's bestie.
When he got home from work, he found only Damla was cooking. When he went to Adelaide's room,
she was not there.
Damla said she didn't even know that Adelaide had signs of miscarriage. Her friend came to the house
in a hurry and the two found out.
Antonio sneered. He knew Adelaide was pretending. She made her look like a miscarriage, without
telling him or Damla. She called her best friend, trying to make him be blamed for being an unfaithful
man and having no responsibility.
What a snake's heart!
"Then I won't keep you."
Even though Hanna's car drove slowly, the car stopped in the Baron family’s villa half an hour later.
Adelaide got off and reluctantly said goodbye.
Hanna was sad and nodded. After calming down she knew that if she made such a scene, it would
affect Adelaide and Antonio's relationship, so she lowered her head and said sheepishly.
"Adelaide, I am sorry that I shouldn't have been so impulsive and went to your husband!"
"It's okay, we're good friends!"
Adelaide stroked her head and comforted her.
"Let me know if your husband bullies you."
Adelaide nodded. After saying goodbye, Hanna's car slowly drove away from the Baron family.
Adelaide walked home silently with her eyes downcast.
Antonio was waiting for Adelaide in the living room.
Seeing she was back, he asked, "Why didn't you call me, aren't you weak? Don't say I didn't take good
care of you."
If it was not that Damla did not answer and that Antonio didn't pick up the phone, would Adelaide have
called her best friend whom she hadn't seen in years?
Would Adelaide bother her?
Her eyes glared at Antonio with deep hatred.
"I won’t!"
"Good."
Antonio grunted lightly and spat out a word from his mouth!
Adelaide lowered her head, not looking at him, and asked coldly, "Is there anything else? I'm going to
my room."
"Adelaide, I hope you'll keep your mouth shut in the future. Don't tell grandma and your friends how
badly I treat you. Making a show will only deepen my dislike for you."
Antonio looked down at her.
Adelaide looked up. He was standing opposite her. He had his beard sprouted, his hair was in disarray,
and the button on his collar was missing.
She was suddenly in a bit of a trance. Was this unkempt man the Antonio she liked?
"Answer me!"
Antonio got angry at the way she was looking at him thoughtfully, because he could see the dislike in
her eyes!
He looked down at himself. His shirt was clean and flat, there were no dirty spots on his pants, and his
shoes were spotless. He had no idea what Adelaide disliked. He shook his head, shaking off the
thoughts rattling around in his head.
Adelaide blinked, her face pale was not noticed by Antonio.
"I hope you'll take care of your mistress; I won't have a miscarriage for a play without her interrupting."
If Clarissa hadn't provoked herself again and again, causing her to get too emotional, how would she
have had a miscarriage?
Antonio was stunned, what did this have to do with Clarissa?
He thought to himself that Adelaide must be jealous about that he lived with Clarissa, so she
deliberately said bad words about Clarissa.
He himself hadn't noticed since when he always subjectively convicted her no matter what Adelaide
said.
After saying that Adelaide went back to her room, and Antonio left in anger.
