Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 104

Nydia pressed her ear against the door and listened to the sounds inside. The door opened, revealing Jesse’s gloomy face. She went in and closed the door behind her.

“What are you looking at? Sleep!” she snapped, tossing the blanket onto the bed.

Nydia climbed onto the bed first and lay down, but Jesse remained motionless for a long time. He actually lay down on the sofa next to the bed, which made Nydia furious. She took out her phone and filmed Jesse.

“Molly, mommy is in daddy’s room now. Mommy wants to take care of daddy, but daddy doesn’t cooperate and sleeps alone on the sofa!” she said while recording. Jesse’s temple throbbed with anger.

Damn woman!

Nydia brought the blanket to the sofa. “Since Little Jesse likes to sleep on the sofa, let’s sleep on the sofa tonight,” she said with a smile, lying down next to him.All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

“… ” His temple throbbed even more.

The originally spacious sofa suddenly became crowded with two people, making them uncomfortable whenever they moved.

Jesse went back to bed with a black face, even though he didn’t want to walk in front of Nydia. His awkward walking posture made him feel ugly, but he was so angry that he almost threw himself onto the bed.

Nydia returned to bed, smiling as if she knew how to get along with Jesse.

He lay on his side with his back to her, and Nydia helped him pull up the blanket before patting his arm. “Little Jesse, good night.”

“… ” What did she mean by “little Jesse”?

Jesse had a fever and felt very uncomfortable, sometimes wanting to throw off the blanket when he was hot, and curling up when he was cold.

Nydia knew he was not feeling well, but she was afraid to hug him and could only watch him from a distance.

She fell asleep in a daze, only to be awakened by a cough.

She opened her eyes and saw the man beside her still lying on his side with his back to her. After waiting for a while and not hearing another cough, she noticed that his body was tense, as if he was enduring something.

Then came another very light cough.

Something was wrong!

She quietly sat up and leaned over to take a closer look. She saw Jesse covering his mouth, but there was still a slight sound coming out between his fingers.

At that moment, her heart felt like it was being squeezed hard and then released, with a tingling sensation accompanied by a sharp pain.

She was both angry and distressed. “Hey, what are you doing? Can’t you control your coughing?”

Jesse suddenly opened his eyes and saw Nydia looking at him. It was clearly a dark room, but he could see her fair face and the anger in her eyes.

Nydia turned on the bedside lamp, and the warm yellow light illuminated the man’s haggard face, as if he had lost weight and his angular cheekbones were even more prominent.

“Drink some water.” She got up and poured him a glass of warm water.

He hesitated, and the cough suddenly broke out like a revenge, one after another. His whole back arched with the sound of broken voice.

Nydia put the water aside and patted his back. Finally, the violent coughing subsided. His face and neck were all red, his veins bulging, and tears welled up in his eyes. It was really a pitiful sight that Nydia had never seen before.

“Drink some water.”

Jesse took the water and drank it all, feeling some relief in his sore throat.

“Just cough it out, don’t hold it in.”

“It’s too noisy,” he spoke with a sore throat and nasal voice, which made his voice sound strange and too soft.

“It’s okay, I’m not afraid of noise.”
