The Billionaire's Regret

Chapter 86

Chapter 86

If I hadn’t been Leo Morgan’s daughter, I would’ve suffered even more, Ivy thought. Duke’s face turned bright red. I’m such a dork! But… I don’t have much choice... I plead guilty as charged, he pondered. “Then, what exactly do you want?” Duke inquired. I was clearly insane at the time to offend Ivy! Shouts the corner of his mind. Ivy was irritated as she looked out the window. “Don’t you just care about your nudes?” she said coldly and playfully as she approached him. “I’m going to count to three. If you don’t leave my sight in three seconds, I’ll make you a trending topic on the internet in a minute!” Ivy scoffed, making Duke stiffen. Duke then turned around and ran as soon as she finished her sentence, pleading for mercy. “Don’t… Do not act rashly!” he shouted before he disappeared. Sure enough, he was gone in three seconds. Ivy smirked and rolled her eyes before walking away in her high heels. When she walked out of the bar, she noticed someone standing next to her car. And when she looked up, it was none other than Wyatt Reed. He seems to wait for her. “Do you have nothing better to do, Mr. Reed?” Ivy cocked her brow. Her red lips against the darkness around her appeared vibrant and hot, but there was a hint of coldness to them. Can’t he see that I’m not interested in dealing with him?! Ivy was irritated. Wyatt’s brows were drooping, and his eyes were dark. His voice was soothing and endearing. “Ivy, I’d like to tell you about Alice Perez. She and I... We are not in the type of relationship you believe we are.” He believed that if he explained everything clearly to her, he would be able to clear up their hatred. Ivy frowned grumpily when she heard that name. “There’s no need for that.” Ivy took a step forward and pushed him away from her car. NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

She got into the car without even putting on her seat belt and stepped on the gas pedal. Ivy realized immediately that something was wrong. She only used a light accelerator, but the speed quickly increased to l20 km/h. It was out of the ordinary and simply uncontrollable! In an instant, her car swerved into the middle of the road. Even though it was after midnight and there were only a few cars on the road, it was still extremely dangerous. Ivy slammed on the brakes in desperation, but there was no response. She realized all of a sudden that the car was ultimately out of control! Ivy inadvertently grasped the steering wheel, but it was locked. The darkness in front of her seemed to be calling out to her, ready to swallow her soul. The streetlights appeared cold and blinding at this time. Ivy couldn’t stop herself from shuddering. She’d never felt so terrifyingly close to death before! She had nothing but fear. Ivy looked up to see a large truck appear a hundred meters in front of her. Her mind went blank at that point. Then suddenly, she heard a crashing sound. The air was filled with a gray cloud of dust and soot. A car had appeared out of nowhere to block her path. The car swerved a few dozen meters before coming to a complete stop. Ivy’s head slammed into the steering wheel at that precise moment. Because her airbag did not respond, she only felt a bone-chilling pain at the time. The pungent odor of gasoline filled her nostrils as warm liquid dripped down her brow. “Ivy!” says someone. A man yelled her name, and the voice sounded familiar. Her car door was then opened, and she was carried out onto the roadside. It’s Wyatt Reed...Why is he sound so worried? Wyatt’s warm hand trembled slightly as he touched the wound on her forehead as if confirming her damage. On the other hand, his touch caused her to feel a prickling sensation. Ivy regained

awareness when she smelled blood. Wyatt’s embrace felt strange to her and made her feel extremely uneasy. Ivy would have been flattered to lie in his arms if this had happened before the divorce. When she opened her eyes, she saw snowflakes falling in front of her. She struggled to get up and clung to the car door. It turned out that his car was preventing her from crashing into the truck. Otherwise, she might not be able to open her eyes again if he didn’t do it. His car had deteriorated to the point where it could no longer be used. “Thank you.” Her voice was uncannily calm. She was conscious, aside from the pain of her head wound. “Ivy, please go to the hospital.” Wyatt sounded a little worried. Ivy turned away from him and took out her phone to call Henry. “Please come to my location as soon as possible. Someone fiddled with my car, and I was involved in a car accident. You have until tomorrow morning to figure out who did this.” She hung up the phone after giving Henry the instructions. Wyatt’s expression was tense. Ivy drew a check from her purse and handed it to Wyatt. “Mr. Reed, your Range Rover is worth no more than $4 million. Here’s a ten-million-dollar check. Your appreciation fee is $6 million.” Ivy stood in the light. Her long hair was slightly disheveled, and the blood on her forehead had solidified, but she still looked stunning. It was as if she was destined to be beautiful. Her lips curled slightly into a polite and distant smile. Wyatt’s face sank as his gaze turned cold. He did not extend his hand to accept the check. Ivy shoved the check into his suit jacket pocket without giving him a chance to object. “When I donated blood, Mr. Reed, you weren’t frugal with your money. It’s my turn to repay the favor this time.” She then exited her car and took off on her heels. Great! I can’t believe even Wyatt Reed will have this day! It turns out that I can really feel bitter! She

thought. The streetlight stretched out her figure. Her steps were firm and not in the least shaky. Ivy, understandably, did not notice Wyatt’s eyes light up with guilt after she uttered that sentence. The internet was flooded with public opinion at the time. Everyone blamed the Reeds for bullying the helpless. However, on the eve of the storm, the Reed family did not respond. After all, if they took a stand too soon, they would appear guilty. The Reed Mansion. During the night, the mansion was well-lit. Except for Don Reed, no one in the house dared to breathe too loudly. Cooper Morgan had single-handedly reclaimed the situation when Morgan Corporation's share prices plummeted back then. This evening, the stock market had taken a turn that was unfavorable to the Reeds. The expression on Don Reed's face was solemn and venomous. He was enraged and irritated when he discovered Wyatt had not returned home. "What the hell happened to him?!" Don Reed asked the butler as he struck his cane on the ground. The butler responded cautiously. "The young master is unavailable at the moment. His phone calls went unanswered, and his assistant is unsure where he is." "Huh! He's still in the mood to hang out?! He's been married to Ivy for three years and hasn't noticed anything wrong with her?!" Don Reed's heart raced so hard that it felt like it was about to burst out of his chest. He would not have tolerated Ivy's anguish at home if he had known she was the heiress of Morgan Corporation and was a perfect match for his family. Their marriage was a shocking event in the entire business community without even mentioning the divorce! What happened now? They'd lost both the money and the person! They had not only completely offended the Morgans, but they had also lost a family heirloom!

Don Reed glared at Eva and Piper, who was standing nervously next to him. "You two idiotic women! You didn't help the family but made a mess!" Eva was enraged as she stood there. "Dad, Ivy is the one who lied to everyone. What does it have to do with us? Didn't you run a background check on her before she married Wyatt?" Don Reed scoffed and threw a temper tantrum. "However, you stole my emerald pipe! You still dare to respond to me?!" The thing that bothered him the most tonight was the fact that his beloved emerald pipe was permanently lost! Eva appeared to be on the verge of tears. She remained silent and stood there. As an accomplice, Piper was fearful of being implicated and thus avoided speaking a word. The butler abruptly broke the unjust silence. "Young Master is back!" he exclaimed with glee. Eva and Piper let out a relieved sigh. At last! Eva's eyes were red. Because her husband James was away on a business trip, the only person who could assist her was her son, Wyatt. Otherwise, Don Reed's wrath would never end! Mrs. Reed was, in fact, uneducated. When Wyatt approached, Don Reed picked up a valuable teacup and hurled it at his feet. "Are you finally finding your way back?" Wyatt came to a halt in his stride, stepped over the broken porcelain fragments, and cast a faint glance at Eva and Piper without altering his expression. "Are you looking for me?" Wyatt spoke in a light tone. Don Reed erupted in rage and pointed at Wyatt. "Look at the shit you've created! How are you going to explain this? How are you unaware of Ivy's existence? You've been married to her for such a long period and have discovered nothing wrong with her? I'm still baffled as to why you got divorced!" It was a tense situation. Don Reed had not lashed out in this manner in a long time. Wyatt raised his eyes and maintained an expression of indifference. "I'm not sure either, but wasn't

this divorce what you all desired?" If not, why would they be so cruel to Ivy? Eva came to a halt and glanced at Wyatt. "Wyatt, apologize immediately to your grandfather! Ivy did indeed deceive everyone. Let us simply wait for your father's return. We'll come up with a solution then." Wyatt frowned and curled his lips into a pucker. "By the time he returns, it will be too late." Hissing coldly, the Don snorted. "Then what do you recommend we do?" "We should comply with the Morgans request and make an apology."
