The President Broken Angel

Unkept Promises

The following day Nearce returned home. While Jhonia is having breakfast with Mrs. Pinnock. Nearce, went to his room and showered. He got dressed for work and came down to have breakfast! Jhonia quickly finished up and went upstairs… Crissian followed her afterwards she returned in a skirt suit and left.

Texting Mrs. Pinnock she would return before dinner. Mrs. Pinnock read the message and smiled. After finishing her breakfast she went up to her room, after some time she returned dressed in a pants suit and left. Nearce stayed silent as he heard them leave. He finished his breakfast and went to work! Time passes.

“Orean, return home to Crissian and take her out. I want to walk the streets and go around on my own, don’t worry Madiea and the girls will be with me at some point. I will call you if something happens.” Jhonia said to Orean telling him to take his wife out. He didn’t want to leave her alone but she assured him she would be fine, and the girls will be with her soon. He believed and stopped the car and there Jhonia got off, telling him she’ll call if something happens.

Orean turned the car around and went back like she told him to. Jhonia began walking the sidewalk as she walked from clothes to jewelry stores. There were so many to choose from, hotels and restaurants. She smiles as she looks up at the names of each building. Hairs, nails, and make up salons. She smiled when her phone rang and she picked it from her pocket and looked at it. “Nearce”

“Hello!” Jhonia answered the phone.

“Can I take you to lunch?” Nearce asked? As he have drive stop the car and he stepped out… Jhonia took the phone from her ear and looked at the phone with a questioning look on her face before putting it back… Nearce began to follow behind her in the distance…

“I have plans.” Jhonia said, and Nearce chuckled over the phone.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“Are you avoiding me?” Nearce asked, walking closer up to her. Jhonia stopped walking as she came up to yet another restaurant.

“Do you think avoiding you is hard?” Jhonia asked him, as she looked at the restaurant, she sighed and walked away. Nearce stood watching her walking away, after a minute he saw Kyhe Knight coming from the restaurant walking towards his car.

“Honey!” Nearce shouted!! Jhonia began turning around after hearing Nearce’s voice… Kyhe looked into his direction… Seeing him wave in the opposite direction he turned his head to see a woman rushing away in the opposite direction of his. He looked back at Nearce who was rushing up to his “honey” Kyhe chuckle.

“Is he showing off?” He asked, then began sitting down inside his car, and after he was seated Kuwain drove off! Nearce reached up to Jhonia and turned her back to the restaurant.

“I want to stop, stop liking you.” Jhonia whispered as Nearce was taking her inside the restaurant.

“Huh?” Nearce questioned her mumbling?

“Shouldn’t you have be at work?” Jhonia asked him, as he was leading her to an empty table. Jhonia seemed to not want to have lunch with him there; however, Nearce was busy making himself happy that he didn’t notice. Jhonia sighed and decided to have lunch because it would be just lunch.

“Go out with me tonight.” Nearce stated but to Jhonia, he sounds like he’s demanding her.

“I have plans. Jhonia responded. Nearce looked up at her and realized her attention was elsewhere, he cleared his throat!

“What?” Jhonia asked?

“We’ll talk about it next time, can you promise me you will listen?” Nearce said to her, and asked. Jhonia made eye contact with him then she smiled.

“I have no interest in anything you have to say, but before you get upset at me and remind me of my dead parents and my poor ness… I suggest you get upset at yourself because we are here… Because of you. The only one who is supposed to love me, who in fact is the only person who is hating and hurting me.” Jhonia said to him, telling him, stating what he would do if he gets upset. After a few seconds she suggests he return his anger to himself because it’s him who put them where they’re. Their food arrived and placed before them. Nearce watched her as she closed her eyes for a brief moment… Just before she opened her eyes.

“I have fallen in love with you.” Nearce said, Jhonia opened her eyes looking at her food before she looked up to him. She stared at him for a while, but then she smiled at him.

“Words for you do come easily like, “sorry “Forgive me and “I love you. But Nearce, it’s the meaning. Do you mean them, when you say them? Or do you just say them, so others can hear them?” Jhonia said to him, she asked him, and asked him if he meant the words he’s saying or he just wanted people to hear him say them. Her reaction went from smiling to serious. Nearce sat with a frown that’s not the answer he expected from her.

“But, I do love you.” Nearce responds and Jhonia smiles a bit.

“Then I am sorry, and forgive me? And maybe I would want to hold you tight tonight. Only if you say all the right words. Even without meaning them. I would believe them because you’re the one who is saying them. But you know what the worst part is? I have. And then you made promises you couldn’t keep… To me, to us and to her. Do you think I have only acknowledged my hurt, my pain, my suffering, and my heartbreak? … Before me there was her, and to her I’m that woman. That woman who ruined her life, that woman who came and took you away… And from her. So when I say that I’m sorry it is not for you. It is for her. … Let’s eat so we can be on our own way.” Jhonia said, then apologizing to him, asking him to forgive her. She then began to explain to him that he would want to hold him if he said the right word. But he has and she believed him. And that was the worst thing she did. He sat and listened to her every word, each meaningful sentence. Jhonia told him, she has not only acknowledged her hurt, pain, suffering and heartbreak, which he brought. Telling him her apology is not for him but for his mistress because if truth be told she is the one who ruined their happy life. Hearing the pain in her voice which he caused her, nothing seemed like something he should do but doing nothing was something he shouldn’t have done but something.

“Maybe, you need time and a break from me! I will take a step back! You can eat… I have lost my appetite.” Nearce said, stating to her she needed time away from him. He will take a step back, adding she should dine without because he lost his appetite. He stood up, buttoned up his jacket and left after staring at Jhonia for a while. Jhonia looked out the window and watched him leave.

She removed her credit card from her bag. When looked back to the seat someone was seated there, she looked up slowly thinking Nearce had returned but it was someone else.

“Are you getting a divorce, Jhonia? I mean, if you are, how will you survive… Without his money knowing you came from a poor”

Jhonia raised her hand to slap her as she finished the word poor… But someone else beats her to it… Everyone turned their attention to them.

“She will survive, she has me, and Jea with us she won’t need anyone else. Especially a husband who thinks because he’s rich, he has controlled… But if you think about it, Sashanie. Men won’t have control over women like her because she’s independent. Can you say the same for yourself? Do you even know how to get a job if your husband drops you?”

Madiea said with confidence to Sashanie, who sat in silence holding her cheek… telling her Jhonia doesn’t need no one. Madiea told her that rich men can’t control women like jhonia because she’s independent. Suddenly, a figure appeared as Madie asked her. But Jhonia was too busy looking at Sashanie, to realize Josephine was standing next to her. Sashanie got up and left.

“What happened?” Josephine asked as they were all looking to the door.

“That good for nothing, money grabber, thinks Jhonia, can’t survive with Nearce. Ah! I’m so upset! I should have slapped her more… And you, why did you just sit there?” Madiea explained to Josephine, saying what she sees Sashanie as. she then turned to Jhonia and asked? Jhonia pointed at her hand which was still in the air.

“Ahem. Okay, since that is over for now. Let it be. I can’t stay. I only came to pick up lunch, I will pay for your meal. Okay? No is not an option.” Josephine cleared her throat and said, and gave Jhonia a quick kiss on the cheek and left. Madiea watched with jealousy.

“Who is she?” She asked Jhonia?

“My little big sister.” Jhonia said, as Josephine was returning to her table. Josephine heard what Jhonia said, and walked over to kiss again.

“Have lunch with me tomorrow, the office is not so busy these days. Hmm?” Josephine said, with a kiss and leave after Jhonia nodded in agreement.
