Beyond the Divorce

Chapter 1473 Intentional Release

My heart raced as I rushed forward, my main concern being Uncle Kenny's safety.

In the next instant, I witnessed a sudden burst of blood from Kenzie's wrist. She instinctively let go of Uncle Kenny, dropping the gun, and clutched her injured wrist. With a sinister smile, she quickly fled into a waiting car, which sped away with an unusual engine sound.

Outside, we stood frozen in disbelief at what had just unfolded.

I held Atlas tightly around his waist, seeking comfort.

"Don't be afraid," he assured me.

It dawned on me that Kenzie had been shot in the wrist, likely with a silencer.

The hall fell into a chilling silence.

Atlas and I quickly made our way to the door, where someone was already helping Uncle Kenny up.

"Uncle Kenny, are you alright?" I asked anxiously, checking his wound.

Tears streamed down Uncle Kenny's face as he looked up at Atlas. "Mr. Atlas, you shouldn't have let that evil woman go."

Atlas grasped his hand firmly, whispering, "She still has value to us. She had to go."

Uncle Kenny looked at Atlas with doubt, perhaps analyzing his words.

Even I only understood why Atlas let Celine go after hearing his words. It made sense now, especially with the explanation for the abnormal sounds from the escaping car-they were intentionally causing distractions.

After a while, everyone looked at Atlas, trembling with fear and uncertainty.

Atlas calmly told Dylan, "Wrap things up here."Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

Then, he looked down at me tenderly. "Are you hungry?"

I smiled gratefully, nodding. "Yes."

"Tristan, bring Uncle Kenny with us. We're going back to the estate," Atlas said, embracing me and striding out. He paid no attention to the still dumbfounded guests, who weren't invited anyway.

I felt worried for David, who was still inside. Then I realized that Dylan would handle everything here.

Tristan helped Uncle Kenny into the passenger seat and fastened his seatbelt.

Uncle Kenny fidgeted. "I-I'm fine. Mr. Atlas, I should stay here."

"Uncle Kenny, this is our home now. You need to rest and recover. Once you're better, you can come back. For now, you must come with me to estate to treat your wounds,"

the

Atlas said firmly.

Uncle Kenny nodded repeatedly. "Alright, we finally got rid of that evil woman."

I smiled to myself, leaning into Atlas's embrace. "I can't believe it. We actually did it."

"I'm sorry for putting you through

that. It must've been unbearable for

you." He lowered his eyes to look at me, kissing my forehead. "You still haven't told me when you

remembered us playing the piano

together."

"It wasn't unbearable, but I couldn't understand why you stayed silent for so long." I glared at him.

"I was waiting for the arrangements outside so I had to buy some time. I hadn't planned to deal with her today." Atlas gently explained, "But it turned out to be the perfect timing."

"That is, quickly dealing with the Ellis family?" I understood Atlas's plan.

He mentioned changing plans at the last minute. Given the situation, with the Ellis family caught off guard, they could not be prepared for what was coming their way.

It was a simultaneous strike against all fronts, catching them off guard.

"Not just the Ellis family, but also Johnny," Atlas said solemnly.
