Chapter 26 Talking too Much
Chapter 26 Talking too Much
After the pregnancy test, a heavy rain poured down on my way home. Fortunately, I just passed by a
tea restaurant. I went in to shelter from the rain and ordered a hot drink to enjoy life.
I was so boring so I turned the pregnancy test over and over again. I was filled with love when I looked
at the little baby that was still just a germ. I thought what would happen to my life when he came into
this world. Suddenly, someone pulled my testpaper from above.
Then a slightly akward fashinable girl sat down on the chair opposite me, as if she knew me very well.
She looked beautiful and noble even she was drown. I did not regain consciousness and was dazed for
a while.
Salome came to the point and said, "I thought what special means you use to win Gavin's heart. You
just use the child."
I ignored her and sat down in a corner. But Salome was relentless. She chased after me and said,
"Miss. Back, what are you afraid of? I am not going to hurt you. Besides, I am here. We are old
acquaintances. Why do not we have a talk?"
"Forget it. I have nothing to talk with Miss. Roberts."
Salome took a deep breath and said, "What? Do you think that you can act recklessly just because you
have his baby?" When she said this, her nobility vanished in an instant.
I looked at the ugly Salome and said, "I'm sorry, Miss. Roberts, you misunderstood me. The baby in my
belly is not Gavin's. Gavin knows about it. You can ask him if you don't believe."
"Not his? Whose then? Or did you hook other man behind his back?"
"Salome, don't go too far!" Her words were really hateful. I glared at her and didn't want to talk to her Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
anymore.
But instead of shutting up, Salome said something even worse. She said, "Was I wrong? Didn't you try
hard to climb on Gavin's bed before divorce? Isn't that your nature?"
"This is your nature, isn't it? You're married now, but you still care more about Gavin. Isn't your previous
relationship awkward enough? What are you trying to do now?"
Salome was also irritated by me. She stood up, pointed at my nose, and said, "I warn you, Darcy, do
not be too arrogant. Remember that you are the one who cheated in marriage. You are just like your
ex-husband! Birds of a feather flock together!"
"But you're about to be like my ex-husband, aren't you?" I looked at Salome with a smile. Once again
she was so angry with me that she couldn't speak.
I saw that the rain outside turned lighter. Seeing that Salome still did not let go of me, I got up and
walked outside. While walking, I said, "Salome, I've already told you the truth. Gavin and I are not the
kind of relationship you think. But I still advise you that no matter if I have a relationship with Gavin or
not, you'd better not involbe with him."
The tea-restaurant was on the second floor, with an iron staircase. What I said to Salome was just
angry words because she was hitting on me. But if I had known that Salome was such a ruthless
woman who would seek revenge for the smallest grievance, I would never blast off on the spur of the
moment.
