Chapter 147~

They were as stealthy as assassins, blending into the darkness, quietly infiltrating the Dark night pack without raising an alarm; they knew they had to move fast before anyone could detect something was amiss with the new sl***es that were brought in.

The minute they reached a secluded spot in Kyren’s inner palace, Elise hopped out of the carriage, with Rygan helping her get the chain off. The guards were less active, but Elise knew they needed to be careful.

“Are you alright?” Michale asked Elise; she nodded as she looked around the pack; she couldn’t help but feel her throat constrict as she glanced at the familiar walls made to keep her in

The walls that held her down like a prized offering for Kyren, she felt a cool touch on her arm that brought her back to reality, and she saw Rygan’s gaze on her. “That ***d can never lock us up again,” he assured her.

She then peered back at both of her betas, waiting for orders. “You both are among the best stealth wolves I know; Jax, I want you and Rygan to find Kyren and the other enslaved silver night wolves that would be used as s**ts, while Michale, you will be coming with me,” she instructed.

“Yes, Luna,” Jax and Michale chorused.

Elise turned to her mate, who had been quiet; she caressed his face. “What is it, my love?” His eyes were filled with reluctance and worry as he looked back at her; she could see the love and care in them before he huffed out a breath and confessed.

“My wolf is on edge to keep you safe, especially since we are in this wretched pack with that b**. I’m sorry, I can’t help it,” he muttered with a grunt. A ghost of a smile showed on Elise’s lips before she stood on her tiptoes, a hand on Rygan’s nape as she joined their lips together, with both her betas looking away.

“I will be safe, you know I will, and besides, I’m not alone; I just need you to trust me on this,” he pleaded, and Rygan nodded, joining their foreheads together, their breaths slowing into one beat. “I’ll be waiting,” she channeled, before she and Michale headed straight to the prison with her in the lead. As Elise recalled the way to the dungeons, they honed in on their shadow skills, carefully getting rid of the deltas that stood guard.

Michale quickly handed Elise the keys to the cell. She opened the door to the cells and was met with terrified faces as some young boys had tried to protect the females. “Don’t come any closer!” one called with a snarl. Even as the heavy chains pulled them back down, they still tried to fight back.

Elise pulled the cloak off her head. “Hey, s**.it’s only me,” she called with a quick whisper. The crowd calmed in confusion while some of them gasped as their eyes widened in realization.Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

“Elise? How?”

“I’m here to help; no time to explain while I get you out of here, she whispered in haste. As she began unlocking their chains, a young boy began to cry.

“This isn’t all of us; they took my sister; I can’t leave without her, he bawled, and another person nodded. “They took my mate; they still need to be saved; we cannot leave them there,” he whispered with a plea to Elise; he seemed to be the oldest here. A little shy over 18, Elise saw the apprehension in their gazes before she looked to Michael, who had been standing guard.

“What is your name?”

“Nathan”

“Okay Nathan, I need you to guard them for me; I will leave you in the care of my beta, but I need you to be brave and strong, alright; I will get them back, I promise,” she assured Nathan, who nodded. His eyes gleamed with gratitude.

Elise left the cell after she handed the keys to Nathan to keep on freeing the rest. “You can’t be serious, Luna,” Michale said, his eyes darkened with irritation. “I have sworn to protect you.” He argued.

“And now I’m giving you the order to protect them; I will be alright, but they are young and don’t have a fighting chance if caught, so I’ll need you here, so I’ll look for the girls, please, Michale,” she pleaded. With a silent curse, he agreed, begging for Elise to channel him if in trouble.

After that, Elise headed straight to the side manor for concubines to reside. From the prisoners’ words, the girls should be kept in there. She trailed quietly through the dark hallways and past the guards. She heard footsteps coming closer, and she began to panic. She tried a door, but it was locked from within. Any moment she would be caught, and she was in full panic for a way out. She already pulled a stance, ready to fight, but not until she heard a door open behind her.

She felt a hand on her wrist; she whirled around, about to attack, but stopped when she saw the familiar face that belonged to her childhood maid and only friend, “Loraine.”

Loraine quickly pulled her into the room, locking it before the guards could see Elise, and she was saved just in record time as the guards passed the floor. She let out a breath of relief as she looked at Loraine. “Elise, how are you here?” Lorraine asked, her eyes flashing in shock and worry.

Elise backed away from the door, her gaze not on Lorraine as she muttered, “Nora told me about what Kyren did.” She looked back at Lorraine veiled and trembled with tears, but stood frozen in shock as Loraine started crying and what does

next?

“Nora is alive? Oh, the moon, I’m so happy.” Lorraine called elated as she brought her veil down, but Elise wasn’t frozen because of her tears, but because Lorraine’s hair had changed; she was once a dirty blonde, but now her hair was an unnatural strawberry red almost like hers, leaving Elise’s brow creasing in confusion.

“The other girls would like to see you,” Loraine muttered. She then dragged Elise to another room, a bigger room that housed more than fifteen girls, and Elise had the shock of her life to see all of them were now redheads, whether real or dyed, and all their hair was the same color as hers; it was eerily creepy and unnatural.

“What in the moon’s name?” Elise whispered in shock. All the girls looked at her with gazes of awe and relief on their faces when Loraine explained who Else was, but they knew she was more surprised, so Lorraine took Elise’s hands in hers and squeezed them, seeing how distraught Elise looked. “What has Kyren done to you?” she whispered.

She couldn’t believe how obsessed he was with her. Kyren truly was manic.

“Kyren forced us to dye our hair; he threatened to kill us if we didn’t, and he used us as his maids and took pleasure from our bodies when he saw fit,” she explained with a sniffle.

“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.”

“You did nothing wrong; you came to save us; this isn’t your fault but that sick p**d monster.” They heard a chiming bell interrupt as Loraine’s eyes widened in panic. “We will soon be called to his chambers in a few minutes; you have to hide,” she told Elise as the girls began to put on their veiled masks since Kyren does not like seeing their faces.

Elise’s eyes widened with an idea. “I have a plan, but I need to follow you in; Kyren will pay for what he has done, I promise,” she assured the girls. She gave Elise an identical dress to theirs that they handed over to Elise.

It was a pale blue silk gown with open cuts by the middle of her bust and upper thighs, an explicit dress made from Kyren’s pe**on. She wore her mask with her eyes lasered in and focused as the guards came in. She held her breath as the girls had begun to file out to Kyren’s quarters.

Elise was ready to face him and make him regret everything he had done to these powerful people, but for now, she needed to get close enough to give him the final blow.

That ba**rd would never know what’s coming.
