Chapter 19
Katrina finally reached their booth, grateful to see there was a small har-style counter where they could set the water and popcorn down. She did as much and then she sat down in one of the few seats in the booth. Kylan sat next to her, draping an arm over her shoulder

He surveyed the field in front of him, his eyes narrowed into slits. She wondered what he was thinking. This was the last place someone would expect Kylan Ross to be, after all,
She leaned forward and grabbed the box of Cracker Jack's, ripping the top open and nudging Kylan's side lightly. "Here, you should try some." suggested.
Kylan looked down at her with a frown on his face. "Do you insist?" he deadpanned.
She nodded her head. "I insist, she confirmed, reaching for his free hand and moving his fingers so that they rested in a makeshift cup. Then, she poured a few pieces of popcorn into his palm,
He stared down at the snack and sighed. She wondered if he would actually cat any of it, and then he finally put a single piece in his mouth and chewed, looking at her as he did so.
She kept her expression carefully neutral, popping a few pieces of popcorn into her own mouth as she watched him. "Well Is it better or worse dan the gummy worms?" she asked him.
Kylan didn't answer. Instead, he put a second Cracker Jack in his mouth and chewed that, too. She smiled brightly at him. "I knew you would like it," she said with a Lough.
He rolled his eyes at her. "It's tolerable," he finally responded with a shrug.
She quirked an eyebrow at him. "You're impossible to please, Rylan" she teased him.
Kylan didn't deny her assessment of him, instead turning to look back out over the field as the baseball game was set up.
The first few innings were spent in mostly silence with Kylan. He kept his arm around her, and occasionally are another piece of popcorn. He didn't seem nearly as on edge as she was worried he would be, and she thought that the private booth might have something to do with it.
In between the sixth and seventh innings. Kylan leaned over to her. "How many innings are there?" he whispered in her ear.
She didn't turn her head to look at him, knowing if she did, her face would be far too close to his.
"There are nine," she responded, reaching into the Cracker Jack box. Her hand closed around what she presumed was the prize, and she pulled it out of the box. She looked down at it and smiled. It was a simple, red and black bracelet. She unwrapped it from the plastic and glanced at Kylan, who was looking back at the game,
"Let me see your wrist," she told him, shifting in her seat so she was facing him,
Kylan gave her a strange look, but he still held out his right wrist to her. She carefully tied the bracelet around it and then smiled. "There. Your first Cracker Jack prize," she told him happily.
She watched as he raised his wrist and eyed the bracelet incredulously, "This is - this is ugly," he said incredulously then followed with a click of his

She smirked at him. "You can take it off the second you're back home, she told him with a laugh,
Kylan glared at her for a moment, but he didn't take off the bracelet.
Katrina was startled at the sound of the stadium announcer's voice, breaking over the speaker above her head.

"We wanted to take a moment, as the teams prepare for the next inning, to thank our largest sponsor for today's game: Ross Corp. We've been their CEO himself is in the crowd today, and we wanted to kick off our Kiss Cam tradition, with him and his fiance. Everyone, please give a round of applause for Kylan Ross, CEO of Ross Corp./"
Her stomach sank as she looked out at the large TV screens at each comer of the field. Sure enough, she watched as the image of both her and Kylan, overtook the various screens. She turned and looked at Kylan, working her absolute hardest to keep her expression calm and collected.
The entire crowd wanted them to kiss. She looked at the people surrounding her booth directly, and they all looked at them expectantly. She couldn't help but wonder if Ryan had planned this himself, to get more publicity,

had no quarrels with kissing Kylan if it was for a situation such as this one, but she knew how he felt about the matter. She didn't want to push him, and she didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable.
'The expression on Kylan's fare was completely unreadable, though his eyes looked like they were on fire as he stared at her. His jaw was clenched and his arm around her shoulder tightened slightly. Chapter I
"You don't need to" she said so quietly, only he would bear her.
Kylan's intense grey eyes traveled to her lips. She watched as he took a deep breath and licked his lips. Clearly, he was torn, and she felt stuck with

"Follow my lead?" she suggested just as
Kylan eyed her carefully for a fraction of a second before he nodded his head a minuscule amount.
She smiled at hun slightly, reaching forward and taking his hat off his head, She turned and winked directly into what she assumed was the camera trained on her. Then, she turned back to Kylan and held the hat in front of their laces. There were people seated behind and to the nearby sides of her, in she knew that she would have to actually kiss him still if he was comfortable. But she hoped that it would minimize the internal fallout Kylan was likely to have if the kiss was more private

Has eyes scanned her face again, and she watched as his cheeks flushed a surprising shade of pink. He reached forward, his hand shaking slightly. and he cupped the side of her face. He angled her head back slightly, then closed the distance and placed his lips upon hers. Her eyelids fluttered closed in surprise, maintaining the hat's position in front of their faces. His bangs tickled her face slightly, and she kept her lips carefully still. But then, Kylan surprised the hell out of her again, and he started to actually kiss her this time. His lips were surprisingly soft and loose, as he kissed her slowly and fluidly, She felt herself returning the kiss, angling her head so she could have better access to his mouth. He breathed deeply out of his nose and cupped the side of her face more firmly She heard the crowd around her cheering loudly, and it brought her back to reality. Kylan kissed her for a few more seconds before he increased the pressure on her lips for a moment and finally pulled back from her
They looked at each other, both of their faces flushed, and both of their eyes locked on one another.
She took a deep breath and licked her still-tingling lips. "N-not so bad, I hope?" she whispered
The corner of Kylan's mouth twitched, and he cleared his throat. "You can probably drop the hat now, he whispered back
She listened, reaching forward and depositing the hat back on kylan's head. She both turned and looked out at the field. "Smile," she breathed under her breath
"I do one better," Kylan mumbled. He leaned over, kissing her on the check suddenly.
She fought back more surprise, instead choosing to smile into the camera, until it finally panned away from her, finding the next couple to pick on. She breathed a sigh of relief, her shoulders relaxing slightly. She look looked over at Kylan, who had his usual carefully composed emotionless mask onThis belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.

about it, he responded just as quietly.
She flashed him a small smile and then turned back to watch the last few Innings of the game. She brushed her fingers across her bottom lip, still able in recall the feeling of Kylan's lips pressed to her own.
