Drawn to You: The Billionaire’s Second Wife

Chapter 51.

“I meant, who was the man you left out with? How sure are you that you’re safe with him?” Xavier couldn’t help but ask those questions.

Vanessa pouted her lips. She couldn’t believe that Xavier could be jealous this way. He could be damn sad for seeing her with another man.

“But I never complained to you. I’m good with him, you don’t need to worry.” She replied.

He gave a nod to that. “Uhmmm! What’s his name..? Sorry, you don’t need to give me an answer to that… I was just being caring so you won’t fall into the hands of thugs as a lover.”

“He isn’t my lover yet, it’s just a date for now.” She replied.

He smiled. “But, do you know him so well? Like, how long now?’This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.

Vanessa turned fully to him. “I’ve not known him all this while, and I believe I will do that as days keep going. Knowing him and everything about him is better. But physically, he’s so handsome and fit.”

He felt jealous. Who is the fucking man stealing Vanessa’s heart all in the name of being handsome?

“I’m i not handsome?” He never knew when the question popped out of his throat.

Vanessa laughed at him. “I didn’t say you aren’t handsome. I meant the guy himself…”

He smiled. ” Okay then… I thought of how ugly I might seem to be in your sight.”

“Why should you be ugly in my sight? Okay, even if you are… you have a girlfriend who would be telling you how handsome you are compared to other men.” She stated.

Xavier didn’t love it when he mentioned him having a fiance. That’s just something he can’t get.

Why would he be so jealous when he had a fiance.

“You’re being jealous because of that right?” She asked him.

He shook his head. “Not at all. I was just trying to be caring… not jealousy.”

“If you aren’t jealous, why should you come over to ask me about this when you have a fiance already? I can see you don’t want me to get married huh?” She referred to him.

He heaved a big sigh. “Don’t say that Nessa. I’ve already told you that I’m not being jealous. Ummm! Anyways… I’m so sorry for interfering in your private matters.” He uttered and left.

She tried stopping Jim but thought against it.

“Gosh! Does it mean that I’ve irritated him just now? No! He shouldn’t take things seriously this way.” She rolled her eyes. “But he’s engaged for heaven’s sake, he isn’t supposed to be jealous this way.”

She felt hurt watching Xavier leave. Heaven knows how much she wants him beside her. But she can’t help it since he’ll be getting married soon.

While I thought, she was also busy with what she was doing. Within a few minutes, she was already done with preparing the meal.

So she left upstairs to go meet Chloe, at least to be sure that she was getting ready for school.

********

At midday*****

He paid her a visit again, and she welcomed him into her bakery… offered him a seat while they began chanting.

For over an hour, the two were busy with a discussion that’s kind of silly but meant much to them.

Vanessa loved spending her day with him, he made her day with funny conversations which they argued on.

The games they played together. Nessa loved it so much.

“Huh! What’s going on here?” A feminine voice attracted their attention. They both swirled their necks.

Vanessa saw that it’s Lilian disturbing her. This woman will never let her be for once.

“Jasper… I just hope it isn’t what I’m thinking?” Lilian uttered, staring at him.

He didn’t say a word, he only sat busy with his cell phone in order not to get attracted to her.

Vanessa was shocked, she wants to know more about what’s going on between the two.

“So you’ve been cheating on me with this slut? Jasper, I am not okay for you right?” He took the cell phone away from him.

He lifted his face, staring at her. “Can I have the phone first?” He didn’t mind letting her say something, he took the cell phone from her palm.

“You’ve been cheating on me with this birch here huh?” She shook her head feeling hurt.

Vanessa felt baffled, why would she refer to her as a slut and a bitch? She isn’t gonna keep mute to that

She moved closer to Lilian and gripped her neck. Lilian pulled out her hand and she yanked her hair.

“What warranted you to refer to me as a slut and slave? I guess you must be damn crazy for doing that.,.” She yanked her hair so hard pushing her away from the store.

Jasper didn’t say a word, he only stared at the two women as they fought because of him.

He couldn’t stop laughing inwardly. They’re really amusing.

Vanessa came back to him, she almost vomited that Lilian is engaged… but she shut her mouth. The fact that Lilian is Jasper’s girlfriend still haunts her.

Why would she be deceiving Xavier? She’s cheating on him yet keeps pretending to love him.

“You’re happy right? You’re happy to witness the scene of seeing two women quarrel because of you huh?” She snapped.

Jasper bent his head low.

“I never wanted to give in to this, but you kept flocking around me pretending to be single while you’re in a relationship.” She spluttered at him.

Lilian came to her again. “You should be shameless about everything you do. Nessa you’re so useless that taking what belongs to me matters to you a lot.”

“I should be saying that… but I have nothing to do with you. Just leave my bakery.” She scolded.

Rather, Lilian kept coming closer and closer. She grabbed the mopping stick which was iron like and stretched her hand to hit it on her, but she dodged it and stepped back.

“I’ll never forgive you for this Jasper. You’ve hurt the innermost part of me and I’ll never kick it out.” She uttered expecting him to say a word, but he didn’t.

She turned her back and left the bakery instantly leaving the two alone.

Jasper didn’t say a word after Lilian left, he watched her leave to the inner room of her bakery and came back some seconds later.

“I guess you’ve overstayed your welcome.” She referred to him.

He shook his head. “You can’t do this to me Vanessa, I love you so much from the depth of my heart.”

“Oh my goodness! Shut your sticky mouth and get out of my bakery. You’re a womanizer… a flirt… a jerk.. a cheater.” She cursed him.

He didn’t attempt getting on his feet. “You can call me anything you want, but just have it in mind that I love you so much and won’t watch another man take you away from me.”

“Not only me… but Lilian too, or you’ve forgotten already.” She rolled her eyes. “Jasper get on your feet and leave my bakery… and don’t you ever return again… go focus on your first lover.”

Jasper got on his feet still focusing his gaze on her. “It’s a promise Vanessa, I am not leaving permanently but for a while because I’m sure you’re so upset. I’ll come back some other day to check on you.”

She hissed loudly. “Just go and never come back again. I have nothing to do with your care… I was fine before I met you.”

He nodded and left the bakery after waving her goodbye.

Vanessa yelled within her, she hated what just happened between them now and wished it never took place.

The questions Xavier asked her in the morning began reflecting in her mind. She guessed that this was the reason he did that.

“But he isn’t aware that Lilian is cheating on him… or is he?” He shook her head. “And besides, he didn’t see Jasper. Chloe had just told him of the man she caught with me.”

She breathed heavily and got seated. “I just pity him because Lilian is really dealing with him but he isn’t aware. Isn’t he so handsome and wealthy that she began cheating on him.”

“I’m just sure that she is faking to love him… nothing much. And I wish Xavier would notice on time.” She thought within herself.

“Who’s here? Can I get some fruit bread? Make it five…” a masculine voice echoed in the presence of her bakery.

She got on his feet. “Come closer sir.” She addressed the man while getting the fruit bread.

He paid the amount of money given to him and left with the purchased stuff, while Vanessa went ahead with her thought.

“Lilian… you’re a whore.” She cursed, grimacing her face. “I just wish you’ll regret all this at last.”

She remorsed on not listening to Xavier in the morning. “It’s out of jealousy though, but I should have given in to that… Now I’m feeling hurt.”

“I just hope this doesn’t turn out to be something else… or rather Xavier knowing about it again… I don’t want to get him upset this time.” She muttered pulling her jaw with her right palm.
