Chapter 10- Arabella

Chapter 10- Arabella

“No. Get away from him. Leave him alone.”

The alpha tightened his grip on Xander’s neck making him whimper.

“Xander.”

I could feel a sort of heat pass through me as I saw Xander whimpering in pain. I could physically feel

the anger from earlier multiply to ten folds. I could feel it rolling off of me in waves.

“GET AWAY FROM HIM.”

The Alpha stepped back looking at me in shock.

“BACK OFF.”

He moved back even further. I will kill that bastard later. I ran towards Xander and sat beside him. His

neck was injured and he looked on the verge of passing out. Something blue like some sort of energy

was leaking out of him.

“Xan. Please stay awake.” I begged him.

He looked at me with a sort of relief in his eyes. The instincts just came up. I placed my palms on his

wounds and thought about healing the wound. Nothing happened for a few seconds but slowly and

eventually the wounds started to close. The blue energy thing started going back inside him and the

wound closed up completely.

As I saw that Xander was alright, I shifted my attention to the intruders. Lucas, Archer and Hudson

were standing on their feet but still wincing with every moment and the Alpha… well he is in for a huge

shit.

The four of them were looking at me with a mixture of shock and fear.

Yeah! Fear bitches. You don’t get to hurt my family and still have unbroken bones.

“Stop Aria.” A familiar voice stopped me before I could lunge at the douchebag of the alpha.

“But he hurt Xan.” I protested.

Mom looked at the Alpha with a maddening expression but what shocked me was that her eyes were

glowing. That of a werewolf. They looked just like uncle Ryder’s.

Xander got to his feet and stood in front of me protectively. The woods rustled and one by one more

spirit wolves emerged from them with uncle Ryder in the lead.

Dad was standing right beside mom.

“I called them.” Xander whispered to me.

He looked so proud of himself that I couldn’t help but giggle.

“Thanks.”

The adreline from earlier was leaving my body slowly. I felt a little exhausted. I closed my eyes for a Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

second but when I opened them, six more spirit wolves were standing behind the idiotic Alpha. The

three fart bags didn’t look that brave anymore.

The rest of the pack arrived and stood beside my mother with uncle Leo in the lead.

“There must be a good reason for why you attacked my daughter and nephew. If there isn’t, I will kill

you painfully.” Mom threatened.

Why are her eyes glowing?

“You can’t be her mom. You look like you are not even twenty.” Hudson opened his mouth.

Mom swelled like a bull frog. But before she could burst, dad saved the upcoming storm.

“Love you are growing in vampire years. You really are nineteen or was it twenty?” Dad said pulling

mom close and rubbing her arm to calm her down.

Uncle Leo snickered as mom’s face turned impossibly red. She turned around and hid her face in dad’s

chest.

“You should have reminded me of that earlier.” Mom mumbled.

All the shifters were trying to hold their laugh but it didn’t last long as Uncle Carter burst out laughing

his ass and the chain reaction began. As usual, Uncle Ryder came to her rescue. He growled in

warning and mom ran to him pouting with a red face.

She usually forgets that she looks young for her age and then ends up throwing a tantrum. No wonder

Val got her dramatic side. We literally look like sisters as we are more or less the same age as she is

aging slowly.

The Alpha growled in irritation as we completely ignored his presence.

Egoistic much.

“Why did you attack my family?” Mom growled out, all the humor forgotten.

“I wanted answers.” The Alpha replied stiffly.

“What sort of answers? What was so important that you decided it’s a good idea to trespass in a pack’s

land and attack their members?” Mom said sharply. “You do know that’s a misconduct. Right Alpha?”

She said the last word tauntingly.

The Alpha growled but didn’t have any choice but to stay quiet. He did trespass in our land.

“We are looking for the Spirit Walker. She hasn’t visited us since years.” He replied. “We were attacked

and these are the only members left of the pack.”

My eyes widened in horror. No wonder they looked so sullen on the mention of anything related to

family. I looked at Lucas, Archer and Hudson to see them looking at the ground. Hudson had tears in

his eyes.

“Okay first of all, I am really sorry for your loss. Second, I wasn’t informed about the existence of any

other pack by the previous Spirit Walker and she is really going to have an earful for that. Third, who

attacked you?” Mom looked disturbed.

“So you are the new Spirit Walker then?” He asked.

“Yeah but I already found my heir. I will be looking after the duties till she is ready to take over.”

“The spirit walker must have forgotten about our pack as we haven’t had any attacks or threats for two

generations. The attack was quite unexpected actually. We didn’t even had time to prepare or hide.”

The alpha grimaced.

“I am really sorry I wasn’t there to help you.”

“It’s not your fault but I suspect that those scum bags will come after this pack as well so we wanted to

warn you and help you with the attack.”

He is not that bad as I thought. He is just a little uptight.

“Do you have any idea who attacked you?” Uncle Leo asked.

“Demons.” The Alpha spat with venom dripping in his voice.
