Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 22

Chapter 22

Only Jonathan and Manley were still in the corridor. They were about the same height, and both had

remarkable appearances and extraordinary temperament. The atmosphere in the corridor grew heavy,

and the lighting seemed dimmer.

Cold light flickered in Manley’s foxy eyes as he curled his lips and said, “Is Estelle really Mr. Lamont’s

niece? How come she doesn’t have the same last name?”

Jonathan replied nonchalantly, “No matter what her last name is, she still calls me uncle.”

Manley clenched his teeth and forced a smile, “Really? I thought it was just a temporary recognition!”

Jonathan chuckled, “I’m not that bored to temporarily adopt a niece, nor a girlfriend!”

Manley raised his eyebrows, “Although Estelle just agreed to be my girlfriend last night, it’s not

temporary.”

Jonathan suddenly realized, “Well, then I can indeed be called Uncle by Mr. Scott!”

Manley remained silent, “……”

Damn!

He tricked me!

Just as Nigel and the others came out, the two engaged in an intense gaze battle for three hundred

rounds before casually averting their eyes.

Back in the private room, Manley always felt like he had been knocked down a peg by Jonathan. He

was annoyed and couldn’t enjoy anything. Before the banquet was over, he made an excuse and left.

When Estelle and Magdalen returned to the private room, Magdalen sat down and asked directly, “Is it

because of that bitch named Heather?”

Estelle looked up. “You know her!”

Magdalen sneered, “I caught her once trying to send Morrison a gift in the middle of the night. I slapped

her face.”

She thought that slap would teach her a lesson, but it seemed not.

Magdalen took a sip of red wine and asked, “What did she say that pissed you off?”

Estelle briefly recounted what she had heard in the restroom.

Magdalen’s face was unchanged, she took out her phone and called Morrison from her recent calls.

He picked up after just one ring, and a refined, elegant male voice answered, “Magdalen.”

She asked, “Is Heather still at your company?”

Morrison hummed in acknowledgement, “Yeah, why?” NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

“No big deal, just that Ella overheard Heather bragging in the bathroom about how she got that female

supporting role because she made you happy in bed. Ella got angry and slapped her. I hope it won’t

affect her making money for you?” Magdalen tapped the table with her bejeweled fingernail, her smile

sending shivers down one’s spine.

Morrison was silent for a full five seconds before calmly replying, “It won’t, because she be kicked out

starting

tomorrow!”

He then lowered his voice, softly explaining, “I never slept with her, and there was no inappropriate

relationship.”

Magdalen teased, “But she sounded so sure, with all the details.”

Morrison said, “Are you still at the Hungry Spoon? I’m on my way now!”

He hung up the phone.

Magdalen put down her phone and glanced at the table, “The food is cold. I’ll have the kitchen prepare

a fresh one.”

Estelle didn’t say anything, just took a sip of wine and asked softly, “Is it tiring being with Morrison?”

The Sampson family and the Langston family were old friends. Morrison and Magdalen had known

each other since childhood and had a long-lasting relationship. They got engaged last year.

The Langston family’s business was mainly in media and entertainment. Morrison, as the prince of the

Langston family, was rich and handsome, and attracted a lot of women.

Entertainment headlines often featured Morrison’s romantic scandals with various celebrities. While

Magdalen’s status as his girlfriend would not change, it must be tiring to deal with all these annoying

situations, right?

“I’m used to it!” Magdalen sighed and laughed, “You know how I feel about him, and nothing will make

me give up on him.

Estelle understood, she just felt bad for her.
