Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right

Chapter 703

Randy thought it was something important, but Marion simply handed over two invitations.

"Engagement invitations?" Both Randy and Erica were surprised.NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.

Marion smiled, "Take a closer look."

Randy and Erica exchanged looks before opening the invitations. Erica's eyes widened as she caught the key detail. "A wedding?" Debra leaned into Marion's chest and said, "Yep. You guys are going to be our best man and maid of honor."

Randy's jaw nearly dropped to the floor. "No way. Are you serious? A flash marriage?"

Erica rolled her eyes. "What are you talking about? They have been together for a while now."

Randy retorted, "But it's been less than 48 hours since Debra got divorced. If this gets out, it's gonna blow up like a nuclear bomb."

Debra and Marion exchanged a knowing look. They had already thought it through last night. Marion had even asked Ben to print the invitations, wanting to get them to the best man, maid of honor, and Caleb first.

Debra explained, "We're holding the engagement party first, but the wedding won't be far behind. I wanted to give you two a heads-up so you could prepare your outfits and avoid last-minute chaos."

Erica enthused, "I am thrilled. It's my first time being a maid of honor."

She threw her arms around Debra, squeezing her tight. "Debra, remember this. If Marion ever dares to mistreat you, I'll ask Caleb to teach him a lesson."

Debra laughed, "Thank you. But before the wedding, there's something important I need to take care of."

Erica was puzzled. "What could be more important than your engagement?"

Debra's smile faltered slightly.

It had been two days. With Edgar's sharp instincts, he should've sensed something was wrong by now.

That evening, Edgar sat in front of his computer, looking at the trending topics on the internet.

They had tried to accuse Oscar of earning obscene amounts of money, but an official statement debunked the claims, revealing that Oscar had donated his savings to the Angel Orphanage. Now, he was being praised as a young philanthropist.

They had spread rumors of Oscar hiring escorts, but the drama only boosted the ratings of his

unreleased show. Even worse, when they sentFreya to accuse him of being a heartless jerk who dumped her after becoming famous, the McKinney Group's PR team readily produced evidence that Oscar and Freya had never been in a relationship, exposing her as

someone with an unhealthy

obsession.

The millions of dollars spent by Edgar had gone down the drain. He slammed his laptop shut, sending it crashing to the ground.

"Damn it," he cursed, taking out his phone to call Chace.

He waited for a while before Chace answered the call. "Sir."

"What took you so long to answer?" Edgar huffed. "Are you even aware of what's happening in Seamar City? We haven't been able to take down Oscar, and I've wasted millions on PR. Worse still, those business owners have suddenly switched sides. We're in deep trouble, and we're losing money fast. You need to figure out a way to get more funds. The branch office has just been established. It can't collapse like this."
