Thirty-Three
Dense softly scented, steam filled the bathroom as Lola stepped out of the shower. She grabbed a soft green towel from the towel rack and let a sigh out as she thought about the day. About what had happened and what she had learned about herself.
She couldn’t help but wish her grandmother was alive. She longed for someone to be able to answer her questions. Why was the box that her grandmother had left her enchanted? How could they not tell her what she was?
After toweling her hair, she wrapped the towel around her body. A soft knock on the door made her jump.
“Lola, are you okay?” Lu asked is a soft voice.
“I’ll be out in a minute.”
Lola looked around the bathroom and realized she hadn’t grabbed any clean pajamas. With a sigh, she cracked open the door and peeked out at Lu.
“Um, Lu.”
“Yes, Lola.” He said with a gulp as he realized the only thing she was wearing was a towel that was much too short. His gaze moved to her long toned legs before quickly back up to her face again as he tried to focus on her eyes.
“Could you grab me some clothes from my room?”
His gaze moved to the light dusting of freckles on her shoulders, and he wondered how the skin would feel under his lips.
“Lu?” She said, pulling him from his study of those freckles.
“Sorry, yes. Clothes. I can do that.” A blush covered the tops of his cheeks as he turned away from her. Lola opened the door, watching his copper colored curls as he walked down the hallway. Her eyes moving down the toned lines of his body to the shorts that hugged his ass.
Her cheeks heated up. She could hear the soft sounds of the others talking in the living room. Their voices a low mummer. For a moment she had the urge to follow Lu into her room. To close the door behind him and drop her towel.
She couldn’t help but wonder if his cheeks would flush as his eyes roamed over her. She had a feeling with him, she would probably have to take the lead. She leaned her hand against the door, pushing it further open. Turning, she moved in the cramped space to the counter. Grabbing her hairbrush and starting working out the knots. The salt water had dried her hair out and as she looked into the mirror, she noticed it would soon be time to touch up her color.
Maybe this time, she would keep it natural. She thought with a smile before sitting her brush onto the counter and picking up her moisturizer.

Lu looked through her dresser drawer. He tried to ignore the lacy scraps of fabric as he grabbed a random pair of undergarments. He opened the bottom drawer, grabbing a pair of small shorts and a soft cotton top. Turning, he looked towards the box that still lay on the bed.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
He couldn’t help but wonder who had placed the enchantment on Lola? Why she was here and not with her kind.
Making his was down the hallway, Lu saw the sliver of light from the bathroom. The door hadn’t closed all the way, and he watched as Lola through the small opening as he walked closer. She smoothed on some type of lotion on her face and then a different one onto her arms.
Lu let out a sigh as he brought up his hand to gently tap his knuckles on the door. He wished he could watch her doing small things like this all the time. Maybe one day they would have that type of relationship. Lu could still remember watching his parents slow dance in the evening. How his mother would look at his father. He wanted that, he’d rather have her knowing though, rather than watching her like this. The door pushed open and Lola turned to look at him. She had a bottle of lotion in her hand.
“Would you mind getting my shoulders?” She asked, biting her lower lip as she looked at him through lowered lashes.
Stepping into the small space, Lu’s eyes met hers. She handed him the lotion and turned around, pulling her hair to the side as she watched him in the small bathroom mirror.
The smell of wildflowers filled his sense, and he breathed in the fresh, clean scent of Lola. Sucking in a shuddering breath, he opened the bottle and poured some of the creamy liquid into his hand.
He sat the plastic bottle down on the counter and rubbed his hands together before bringing them up to smooth the lotion over her skin. His thumbs brushing over the pale dusting of freckles that he had been admiring earlier. Caressing his palms up her shoulders, he let out a gasp as she leaned back. Pressing her towel-clad body against his as she looked over her shoulder at him.
“Thank you.” She whispered.
He fought back a groan as she brought her hand up to cup his cheek. She leaned closer and he could feel her breath fanning over his lips. His finger tips trailed along her collarbone as his other hand moved to her waist, pulling her body closer against his.
“Are you teasing me?” He whispered. Moving his nose to trail it over her the smooth skin of her shoulder.
“Just a little.” Lola shivered as his lips moved against the bite marks Bodach had left along her skin.
“Two can play that game.” He said with a growl against her skin as he spun her around. Moving her so she sat on the counter in front of him, he pressed closer to her. Lu brought his hands up to cup her cheeks, “Is this okay?”
“Very much so.” Lola said as he brushed his thumb over the top of her cheek. His lips pressed against hers and she felt a toe curling shock run through her body. Tangling her hands in his long hair, she deepened the kiss, moving her legs so he was pressed flush against her.
Lu let out a moan as his body responded to her, his cock swelling to life. It wasn’t like before, where he’d felt the need so ingrained in him. This was gentle, normal.
Well, as normal as it could be for a first kiss between the two fae creatures.
