His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 388

Their eyes locked with a mix of defiance and disdain. "You think you're up for this?"

Ricardo had been on the streets for years, but he had never come across someone so formidable. His heart pounded, his eyes showing an unprecedented degree of admiration and awe.

"You... you're really something. Alright, I give up. Truly." He stepped back, the pain from his injuries reminding him that it was best to avoid such people. "Take her. I didn't touch her, not even a finger." Suddenly, a dazzling light lit up the dim path ahead.

He staggered, each step heavy as if he were carrying the weight of the world. He bent down, wrapping his arms tightly around the woman, using every ounce of his strength to lift her. "I'm taking you home," he said, his voice hoarse but resolute.

He carried her through the silent alley, each step landing on the mud and blood-streaked ground. His silhouette stretched in the light at the alley's entrance, as if bathed in a golden glow. Dillon's car screeched to a halt in front of them.

He quickly opened the passenger door, ran over, and supported the injured Casper. "Mr. Casper... Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, just a few scratches." His concern was more for the woman in his arms. "She's been drugged with something powerful. We need to get to the hospital, fast." "Get in the car."

Once they were both inside, the car shot forward like an arrow.

The sudden acceleration caused a strong sense of propulsion, unsettling the heart of the woman who was asleep, stirring restlessness within her. Her eyelids felt impossibly heavy, as if weighed down by an invisible force. A burning heat gradually rose within her.

She struggled to sit up, her hands uncontrollably wrapping around Casper's neck. Confused and urgent, she leaned in, her lips seeking the coolness that might quell the heat in her heart.

Casper felt her closeness but could only hold her hands tightly, trying to calm her down.

"Just hang on, we're almost at the hospital."

"No, not the hospital." Her desire at that moment surpassed all reason. She urgently lifted her legs, straddling his lap, her arms tightly wrapping around his neck. "I need... to do it."

Dillon, sitting in the passenger seat, coughed awkwardly. "Um, should I even be hearing this?"

The driver, trying to remain invisible, thought: I'm just gonna pretend I'm deaf.

"Stop it." Casper knew she was not in her right mind and tried to soothe her gently. "Let's get to the hospital first, okay? Be a good girl... hmm..."

His lips were captured by hers.

His defenses crumbled instantly, his resolve melting away. He tried to maintain his rationale, pushing her away. "Be good."

Dillon awkwardly touched his nose, whispering, "Actually, you know, we don't necessarily have to go to the hospital. Sometimes, um, you know, doing it can help detoxify." He sneaked a glance at Casper, wondering if he had heard.

The nature of the drug was well

known. If it really came to that, just doing it a few more times might solve the issue. Considering Casper's remarkable stamina, ke should be able to handle it easily.

Eliza clung to Casper, and he could barely hold it together. His breathing became erratic. "Back to Welton Estate."

"Yes, sir." Dillon urged the driver, not wanting to witness anything more. "Step on it."

"Got it, Dillon."Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

The driver responded, immediately increasing the speed.

The car sped back to Welton Estate at top speed. As soon as they parked Dillon hadn't even had the chance to get out before Casper was already carrying Eliza inside, moving quickly...
