I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 62

Being Blocked in the Parking Lot

"She didn't come. You should find someone to follow her."

"Okay, I gotta it."

He understood that his boss wanted someone to follow Harper, and he sent someone to do it immediately after sending him back to the Pineview Villa.

At the same time, Harper took the elevator down from the company and arrived at the parking lot to drive home. Just as she was about to reach her car, three men walked out of nowhere and blocked her way. Harper looked at the three of them expressionlessly.

They stared at her too.

Among them, a man said, "Beauty, how about playing with us?"

Harper didn't speak, just looked at him with a slight frown.

"Hey, you're quite proud, aren't you? I'm talking to you. Don't you understand?"

Harper pressed her lips and asked lowly, "Who are you? I don't know you." "Well, now you do. Let's go out for a drink, then I'll let you go."

"I never know you. If you want money, I can give you. Please, just let me go."

Harper negotiated with them in a gentle tone. Of course she was terrified, but she couldn't display her emotion when confronting evil. She would give them if they wanted money, a car, or something else, as long as they didn't hurt her.

But they didn't want anything from her. They just came for her. They insisted that she go out drinking with them.

That man pushed her. "Stop talking nonsense. Just follow us. Otherwise don't blame us for being rude."

After saying that, he was about to come up and grab Harper's hand. She immediately stepped back and looked around to see if anyone could help.

They recognized her attempt. One said, "She's finding someone to help. Let's just take her away. We got a mission."

Harper got favorable information from what they said. They were during a mission. So they were sent by someone.

Harper did not understand. She didn't think she had an enemy. She never encountered such a situation. Who could send them to take her away?

Harper subconsciously protected her abdomen with her hands. Then she turned around and readied to run away while they were hesitating. But how could she run away from the three of them?

Harper was caught just as she took a step forward. The man pulled her hair and cursed, "You bitch! How dare you? Wanna run away?"

She struggled. "Please, let me go. Please! No matter how much you paid, I'll pay you double!"

Her hair being pulled, her head felt numb with pain.

"This bitch has a good looking. What about we..."

"Get it out of here first."

They dragged Harper towards their van. "If they got me in the van, there would be no hope for me."

Harper kept resisting and struggling. She slapped one of the men on the face, followed immediately by a slap on her cheek.

"You dare to hit me, bitch?"

Harper felt her head was buzzing.

But at this moment, she didn't care about the pain at all. She tried her best to break away and then ran quickly towards the exit. "Stop!" They chased after her.

Harper ran out in a hurry. Forgot to notice the road, she tripped and fell to the ground.

She ignored the pain and got up. Behind her, they were getting closer and closer. She really felt desperate.

Just when she thought she couldn't escape, the security guard's voice rang out in the empty parking lot, "What's up?"

"Help me!"

They stopped and looked at each other. They finally decided to turn around. They ran back into their van and slipped away.

Harper was relieved for a second. She soon felt something wrong with her abdomen. She felt her head was heavier and then she fell. "Miss, are you okay?"

This was the last sound she heard before losing consciousness.

Harper was already in the hospital when she woke up.

She opened her eyes and sat up. Julie immediately held her shoulders. "Don't move. You need rest."

"What about my baby? How's the baby?"

"You've been spooked. The baby is safe for now, but you need to stay in the hospital for further diagnosis."

The baby was safe.

She was relieved.

She said to Julie, "You must help me keep the baby, please."

Julie nodded, and then asked, "What happened?"

Harper briefly explained. She then learned that the security guard sent her to the hospital.

It was almost ten. Her phone was dead due to the accident, so she used Julie's phone to call back to the Pineview Villa.

Draven picked it up.

"Harper, when will you arrive? It's been late."

She said, "Draven, I won't come back tonight. Please tell Benjamin."

"You're not coming back?" Benjamin's voice sounded, "Harper, you are a married woman. You gonna spend the night outside with Frank?"Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Harper pressed her lips, but she finally decided not to tell him about her hospitalization. She just said, "I came to the Martin Manor to accompany Sir Martin."

Benjamin didn't say anything. After Harper hung up the phone, she quickly called Paul. He was willing to cooperate with her. But she still didn't tell the truth, in case he worried about her. Benjamin couldn't believe Harper's statement about going to the Martin Manor and accompanying Paul. Harper's attitude made it clear that she just didn't want to come back.

"Is she angry because of today's trending topic about Lauren?

Is she jealous?"

That night, Harper thought a lot in the hospital.

Those who wanted to hurt her could not be strangers. Only someone who knew her could find her easily.

So who could it be?

Figures flashed through her mind. Apart from this person, she couldn't think of anyone else.

The next morning, Julie bought a new mobile phone for Harper and prepared breakfast.

Afterward, the doctor came to check and found that she had stopped bleeding. But her body was still weak. She needed rest after returning home, and she should not be too emotional. She was discharged from the hospital. Julie was helping her pick up her stuff. Harper made a phone call alone. "Help me check on someone."

She gave a name.

Then she added, "I want to know all her contacts in the past two days. I need to know it quickly."

"Okay, I'll check right away, but boss, why haven't I heard from you for so long? When will you come back?"

"You'll know." She responded with a cold face and a very calm tone, "When I get back, I will check your work quality first. You know the consequences."

The one over there felt a little pressure.

In less than five minutes, Harper got a reply.

After hearing the methodical response, Harper's face turned cold and gloomy.

The moment she hung up the phone, she held the phone tightly and her eyes full of indifference.

Half an hour later, Julie planned to drive her directly back to the Pineview Villa from the hospital. But Harper said, "I need to go to Lauren's studio."

Lauren established a studio before. She has been staying in the studio recently to prepare her new songs.

When Harper arrived, Lauren was about to go out to meet the investors. The two met at the door. Lauren's face was slightly stiff, but for a second it returned to normal. "Harper, why are you here?"
