Chapter 376
hapter 376 The Villain Dies from Excessive Talking
Maggie found herself tumbling to the ground in a bewildered state. What set this existence apart from her previous one was her unwavering consciousness throughout.
“Ms. Cameron, the person has arrived. You may settle the supplementary charge at your convenience, a foreign male voice reverberated.
Moments later, the sound of footsteps drew nearer. Sierra observed Maggie’s abrupt descent to the ground, her own countenance twisting into a smug and malevolent grin.
Speedily, Sierra completed the transaction, convinced that no expenditure had ever been as justified.
To her surprise, a small sum proved sufficient to plunge her most loathed individual into utter despair.
Despite the mercenaries‘ singular focus on monetary gain, irritating as it was, Sierra couldn’t refute their commendable efficiency.
In elegant high heels, Sierra strode towards Maggie, flanked by several mercenaries who appeared as though they answered solely to her.
For this encounter with Maggie, Sierra meticulously altered her attire and applied makeup with precision.
In the past few days, she secretly returned to the Camerons and sold much of her previous jewellery and accessories. Now, she had some extra cash on hand.
Sierra had restrained herself for far too long. With Maggie now within her grasp, she was determined to present herself in impeccable form.
“Wake her up!” Sierra’s voice, chilled yet tinged with an unexplainable thrill, commanded.
In a bid to evade such treatment, Maggie promptly opened her eyes, only to be met with the unwelcome splash of cold water dousing her head.
Maggie remained silent.
Her expression is kind of speaking like: This is really frustrating!
The icy water seeped swiftly through her clothing, delivering a bone–deep chill reminiscent of early
winter.
Maggie’s eyelashes glistened with a thin veil of mist as she patiently awaited the trickle of water to subside before slowly opening her eyes.
“How is it? My dear Maggie, are you pleased to see me?”
Sierra crouched down, a gleam of amusement in her eyes.
She still had that somewhat youthful face and could be considered pretty and delicate–looking, but unfortunately, it was coupled with an exceptionally malicious heart.
Maggie’s gaze pierced with an icy intensity as memories of her previous existence flooded her mind, unbidden.

Instead, she typically emerged only after being rescued by Nathael and subsequently transported to the hospital.
“Maggic, why don’t you leave Mr. Harris? He’s ruthless and heartless, capable of such cruelty towards you! And yet he pretends to be deeply affectionate, saving you with false sincerity?”
“Ha, it’s laughable! What did he save you for? Just to torment you! He hates you, yet he wants you alive. Such a man is truly despicable!”
“Maggie, seeing you in your current state, I beg you, please leave. Forget about the family affairs. I don’t care about the family business. I only care about you.”
“Maggie, can you pull yourself together? So what if your eyes have turned into two holes? So what if your appearance is ruined? It’s not a big deal. I don’t care… I really don’t care!”
“Don’t worry, I will definitely find a way to get revenge on Nathael for you. I won’t let him off the hook! His hypocritical facade, ugh, it disgusts me!”
Maggie remained silent.
In their past lives, Sierra would put on a facade of concern and sympathy in front of her. At that time, Maggie had already suffered a tremendous blow, and her eyesight was also impaired.
The insincerity and malevolence behind her words completely escaped her notice.
After a considerable time, she came to grasp the existence of truly malevolent individuals, realising Sierra’s longstanding revulsion towards Nathael’s indulgence and concern for her.
“Speak up! Why the silence?” Sierra seized Maggie’s hair, compelling her to meet her gaze.
With a smile playing upon her lips, Maggie uttered softly, “You certainly possess thick skin. I anticipated you skulking away like a rat, but instead, you display not an ounce of shame but rather revel in your notoriety.”
At the mention of this, the smile on Sierra’s face waned slightly, morphing into a menacing and chilling expression. “Maggie, was it you?”
Maggie’s lips curled upward, her gaze fixed on Sierra with a smile devoid of warmth, as she retorted, “What do you mean?”
A lump formed in Sierra’s throat, and she struggled to voice her question, “Why did Ivan and I lose control that day?”
Maggie let out a soft chuckle. “Why the loss of control? Shouldn’t that be a question you ask yourselves? Why come to me? It seems you’ve/misplaced your wits!”
“What did you say?”
Sierra’s hand shot up, delivering a sharp slap across Maggie’s face, her features twisted in rage.
“I wonder how long your arrogance will endure, Maggie. Your destiny will be no less than tenfold or a hundredfold worse than mine!”

Meanwhile, in a neighbouring building adjacent to the warehouse, Nathael and his team quickly identified the optimal vantage point. Simultaneously, personnel from various military districts encircled
the warehouse from every conceivable direction.
Nathael lifted his binoculars, his gaze fixated on the unfolding spectacle, his fingertips quivering with fury.
“Why the delay? Let’s enter directly. Must we truly wait for her to move first?” Nathael’s voice was cold, and his eyes were shadowed with intensity.
Alex cast a quick glance at the reporter beside him and managed a strained smile. “Mr. Harris, the timeframe is rather tight. It’s somewhat challenging to elucidate.”
Maggie aimed to stage a performance. At the very least, she needed to maintain a façade of decency.
Before Alex could complete his sentence, Nathael’s gaze locked on him.
Nathael’s striking countenance grew pallid and icy, exuding a faint aura of animosity from his furrowed brows. His sombre, penetrating gaze bore a hint of crimson at the edges, as though it harboured a desire
to devour someone.
Alex nervously swallowed, bowing his head and choosing to remain silent.
Nathael directed his cold gaze towards the silent reporter and queried. “Are you capable of writing?”
“No need to worry, Mr. Harris!”
“Let’s proceed with the rescue immediately!” Nathael declared icily before pivoting and descending the stairs.
Had he not wished for Sierra’s demise to come too swiftly, he would have put an end to her with a bullet.
Indeed, he harboured regret.
Allowing her to act so recklessly was a foolish decision on his part!
Maggie cast a sidelong glance at Sierra, a faint smile playing on her lips as she commented, “Oh, really? And just how pitiful do you imagine I’ll be?”
Sierra’s grin twisted into a malevolent smirk. “I’ll pluck out your eyes, scar your face, and drug you until you’re nothing but a paralysed shell for life, reliant on a man!”
Maggie’s smile grew faint. “Well, that does sound rather terrifying.”
“Does my threat unsettle you, Maggie? I simply can’t comprehend what sets you apart! What makes Nathael blind to me, only seeing you?”
Sierra’s resentment swelled as she contemplated, and a profound sense of injustice welled within her whenever Nathael’s name arose.
Sierra sneered, her words laced/with venom. “I’m eager to witness. How Nathae will still profess his love for you when you’re nothing but a repulsive pile of decaying flesh.”
At that, Sierra erupted into laughter. “Hahaha!”
His mercenaries stationed at the perimeter evidently detected a disturbance.

Signalling to one another, personnel within the building swiftly became vigilant, converging towards the perimeter.
Sierra’s brow furrowed with irritation as she demanded, “What’s happening?” Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

Maggie cast a brief glance at Sierra before leaning in, her words a soft murmur in her ear. “Do you know that old saying?”
“What’s that?” Sierra instinctively replied.
