Chapter 3751
Zachary laughed.
The kids were always eager to take on tasks like this.
You could tell they sometimes had little disagreements while playing. It reminded him of how he, Josh, and Duncan used to have their own conflicts, but they always resolved them quickly without holding any grudges. After the bodyguards unloaded the gifts from the car, Zachary led them toward the yard.
Just then, Serenity stepped out of the house.
The couple paused and looked at each other.
As the saying goes, "Being apart for a day feels like three years."
They hadn't seen each other for quite a while, and it felt even longer.
Serenity was worried-about Zachary and Liberty.
Thankfully, everything was finally over, and they were safe.
"Seren," Zachary said with a smile as he walked toward her.
Serenity quickly moved toward him, and the couple embraced each other tightly before finally letting go.
"Zachary, you're finally back," Serenity said.
"I promised I'd come to take you and Sonny home, so of course, I'd come back," Zachary replied.
He gently pulled back to look at Serenity, relieved to see that she looked healthy.
He then hugged her again before holding her hand. "I came back early because I knew you were here, so I came to pick you up."
"We were getting ready to head back to the city. Titus and Sonny told me you were here, but I didn't believe them," Serenity said, smiling brightly.
Zachary's early arrival filled her heart with happiness. "Seren, Mr. York, please come in," Jane said, smiling as she held her son. Others also warmly welcomed Zachary inside. Zachary politely greeted everyone as he entered the house. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
He noticed Avah, who was being held by Grandma Murphy. Ben's two children had grown so much in such a short time, and they looked even more adorable.
Seeing them, Zachary understood why his grandmother always wanted to bring Avah home-she was simply too cute.
Then, Zachary's eyes shifted to Serenity's slightly rounded belly.
He looked away from the kids, feeling no need to envy Ben. In a few months, he would be holding his own baby.
Whether they had a son or daughter, with his and Serenity's good looks, their child would surely be smart, cute, and beautiful. A son would be handsome, and a daughter would be lovely. He was confident their child wouldn't be anything less than beautiful.
The bodyguard set the gifts on the table.
Jane said to Zachary, "Mr. York, you're too kind. You brought so many things; my mother's house already has everything."
Whenever Jane visited her family, she always made sure to bring whatever was needed. Often, her brother and sister-in-law would take care of it before she even had the chance.
"It's my first time visiting, so I couldn't come empty-handed," Zachary said with a smile. "My wife and nephew have been here for two days."
Serenity added, "Auntie prepared a lot of farm produce for us to take back. It's a nice exchange."
The Murphy family knew Serenity would be returning to Wiltspoon soon, so they packed plenty of farm products for her, just like they did for Jane.
Mrs. Murphy had a soft spot for Serenity and truly cared about her friend's daughter.
Fortunately, both Serenity and Liberty were in a much better place now, happily married into good families.
