Marrying my high school bully

An undeniable attraction

Primal possessiveness stirred up within me while I patiently waited for her response.

“What if I said I have one?” A flirtatious smile crept to the crook of her lips as she batted her lashes at me.

“I don’t think I’ll like that.” I stated as a matter of fact.

Her eyes widened as she wiped her lips with a paper towel. “Why won’t you like that? You are not even my friend, yet.” She dragged on which only fueled my jealousy-no, not jealousy, maybe it was something else.

I couldn’t harbor such feelings that could make any man unreasonable. But I definitely didn’t want any man around her and I certainly didn’t want to be just her friend. I wanted to be much more than that.

“Because I don’t want you having one.” I growled and a spark flickered in her eyes, her sensuous lips parting slightly as she averted her gaze from me.

Her tongue ran over her lower lip while I took note of every action. One thing was sure, I’d made her uncomfortable in a good way.

“You’re very blunt.” She remarked and I leaned backward, folding my arms.

“And that’s why you like me.”

She flinched, her fingers straightening her short hair which she did a good job of arranging while coming to this place for lunch. “H-how do you know that…?” She stuttered.

“I can feel it.” I decided to change the subject, seeing that her atmosphere was getting tense.

The last thing I wanted was for her to walk away like she did the other day, and strangely, I was more concerned about protecting the feelings of this woman than any other thing.

I wasn’t supposed to feel this way. My failed marriage with Lorraine should have taught me a lesson, but here I was, caring for another woman even though I shouldn’t.

My phone vibrated in my pocket, dragging me out from my trance-like state. A scowl formed on my face when I saw who the caller was.

“I have to take this call, please.” I told her and she nodded.

“It’s fine.” She said and I headed for a more quiet place where I could speak with Emilia.

I clicked on the answer button and waited impatiently for her to start talking. After a long breather, her harsh voice came on the line.

“I thought you’d never pick up.” Her angry voice reverberated in my ears while I sighed in frustration.

“What do you want? I’m busy right now.” I asked through gritted teeth and she hissed.

I could imagine her glaring daggers through the phone. “I can imagine how busy you are with her. It might be under the sheets where you’ll fuck her brains out then minutes later, you’ll return to your miserable and lonely life, and you know what, I’ll be right here to sit you through it.” She fumed.

My throat tightened with suppressed fury, but I couldn’t yell over the phone the way she did. “I’m going to ignore all you said right now because I don’t have the energy to deal with you, so why did you call me?”

“Lilly is sick and she needs to be taken to the hospital,” Her voice dropped and my heart churned with worry.

“She’s sick? How did that happen?” Nervousness washed through me as I raked through my hair. “I’m coming right away, just tell me where you are.”

“We’re at the house. My car suddenly stopped working and I don’t know what to do right now.”

“Alright. Just make sure that her body doesn’t get too hot.” I dropped the call and raced to my car, then I remembered the woman I left in the restaurant.

I couldn’t leave like that, knowing fully well that she’d be stranded. Her car was in my company’s parking lot and returning there by commuting would be stressful for her.

A slight headache throbbed at the back of my head, but I ignored it and went back in, my gaze flitting around the room.

“What’s the problem? Your face looks pale.” She observed the moment I went back to our table.

If I wasn’t worried about Lilly, I’d have kissed her right now, but I’d do that soon, when we were in a more relaxed condition.

“Lilly is sick and I have to take her to the hospital…”

She wrinkled her brows. “Then go to her. I can find my way back home.” She said softly, weakening my resolve not to kiss her. Why should I even be thinking of kissing her in this situation?Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.

“But your car?”

She flashed an understanding smile at me. “I’m a grown woman, and I can find my way back home so just take care of your daughter. That’s more important right now.” She said, her voice calm and without any tinge of bitterness.

I stared at her long and hard without blinking. When it was obvious that I couldn’t say anything, I thanked her. “I really owe you one.”

“Just go already.” She urged me on and I raced out without thinking twice.

Getting home was like a breath of fresh air because several crazy thoughts kept flying into my mind, and if anything happened to Lilly, I wouldn’t forgive myself.

The door was opened so I went in, my eyes darting around the room in search of Lilly.

“Lilly? Emilia?”

I got no response, instead, gentle footsteps from the stairs drew closer to me. My mouth fell open as Emilia cat walked towards me in a black lace lingerie.

I was doused with confusion as I tried to access the situation. “What’s going on and where is Lilly? You said she was sick.” I asked carefully, my eyes searching around the house.

She released a chuckle and played with her damp hair. “Lilly is with the nanny.”

My brows furrowed as I moved away from the door and advanced towards her. “I don’t think I understand what you’re saying. You told me that Lilly was sick, hence, the rush back home, and all I’m seeing right now is a woman trying to seduce me instead of looking for a solution.” I said in exasperation, even though I was overcome with the need to break something into pieces.

Her fingers moved away from her hair and landed on my chest as she batted her lashes innocently. “Fine, I lied.” She spat nonchalantly.

“Emilia,” I growled and she flinched immediately, scared at the deep intensity of my scary tone. “Don’t joke with my emotions, I won’t tolerate it just because you are Lilly’s mother. So tell me what the hell is going on.” I barked.

“I lied about her health. Nothing happened to her. I just wanted to get your attention after you left with that loser and I’m happy I got it.” She slowly slid her tiny thong down her thighs, running her tongue over her lower lip. “The truth is that I’m really aroused right now and I want you badly.” She drawled.

I spun around, clenching my fists tightly. If she was the light auburn haired woman that had captivated my senses, I wouldn’t hesitate to have her in my bed, but the woman standing behind me disgusted me without a reason.

Unable to control my temper, I took a leap towards her, pushing her onto the armchair. Her face lit up with an expectant smile as I lowered my face closer to her.

“Kiss me already!” She demanded, sliding her finger down my crotch. Then a frown appeared on her face when she realised that I wasn’t reacting the way she wanted.

“The next time you disrupt my busy schedule just for your own selfishness, I will forget that you are Lilly’s mother and treat you like a criminal.” I warned her without an iota of unwavering confidence in my voice, then stormed out of the room.
