Mute 3
Caspian’s POV
My men returned, their faces filled with uncertainty, “We couldn’t find the mute maid, Alpha,” one of them reported, his voice laced with unease. “We searched everywhere?
I narrowed my eyes in irritation, disbelief gnawing at my insides. “What do you mean you can’t find her?” I demanded, rising from my chair.
Elijah, my beta, stepped forward, his expression grim. “It seems like she’s left the pack,” he said, his voice heavy with resignation.
The words hit me like a physical blow, a cold knot forming in the pit of my stomach. “No, it can’t be, I protested, shaking my head in denial. “Aria has lived here her entire life. She has nowhere else to go, no one to turn to. She’s a mute, for goodness sake. She’ll never survive out there on her own.”
But Elijah’s words rang in my mind, a grim reminder of the harsh reality we faced. “Perhaps she got fed up or something” he suggested, his tone indifferent.
“No,” I snapped, my patience wearing thin. “I refuse to accept that. I’ll go look for her myself.”
Storming out of the room, I felt a surge of desperation coursing through me. I couldn’t shake the feeling of unease that settled over me like a suffocating blanket. As I passed through the s***ts’ quarters, their respectful greetings did nothing to ease my troubled mind.
It had been three days since I last saw her, three days since I was crowned Alpha King of the LightShadow pack, and Aria was nowhere to be found, even when I had summoned all the female ***ts and omegas around, she was nowhere to be seen. And this left me concerned.
Pushing open Aria’s door, I half-expected to find her inside, going about her daily tasks.
But the room was empty, devoid of her presence.
Panic clawed at my chest as I surveyed the barren space, her absence leaving a void that seemed to swallow me whole.
She had packed all of her belongings, a stark reminder of her departure. It was a sight that left me completely unsettled.
As I wandered through the empty corridors of the castle, the weight of Aria’s absence

bore down on me..
How could she leave? The thought ate at me, refusing to be ignored.
She was supposed to grow old within these walls, her presence a constant reminder of her frailty, her silence.
But she had left, and the realization hit me like a physical blow.
I had driven her away, with my callous words and cruel actions.
Aria, the one person who had shown me nothing but kindness and devotion, had been pushed to the brink by my own selfish desires.
Guilt gnawed at my insides as I reflected on my treatment of her. I had used her, taken advantage of her vulnerability to satisfy my own urges.
And when she dared to voice her pain, I had silenced her, forcing her to accept my rejection.
The memory of the hurt in her tear-filled eyes haunted me, a constant reminder of my own cruelty.
I had thoughtlessly rubbed her condition in her face, mocking her inability to speak when it was never her fault to begin with.
She had been born a mute, a fact she had no control over, yet I had used it as a weapon against her.
As I recalled our moments together, I realized just how blind I had been to her suffering.
She had loved me, believed in me, even when I had treated her with nothing but contempt.
And now, she was gone, her absence a gaping hole in my heart that I feared would never heal.
I stormed back into the room where my men were gathered, my frustration boiling
over.
“Find Aria,” I ordered, my voice sharp with urgency. “Do not return until you’ve found her.”
My beta, Elijah, looked at me quizzically. “Why do you care about the mute omega?” he asked dismissively.

I clenched my jaw, my patience wearing thin. “It’s important,” I snapped, my temper flaring. “I need to find her.”
There was a moment of stunned silence from my men, before they nodded in obedience. “As you command, Alpha Caspian they said in unison, before turning to leave.Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.
Elijah approached me, his brow furrowed in concern. “What happened with the mute s**nt?” he asked cautiously. “Did she steal something precious from you?”
I couldn’t bring myself to answer him. My mind was racing with thoughts of Aria, of the pain I had caused her.
I paced back and forth, my frustration mounting with each step. I couldn’t tell Elijah the truth, couldn’t admit to what I had done to Aria. The guilt weighed heavily on me, suffocating me with each passing moment.
Suddenly, Ellen appeared beside me, her voice filled with concern. “What’s wrong, Caspian?” she asked, her eyes searching mine for answers.
The absence of Aria ate at me, consuming my thoughts and leaving me restless and agitated.
I couldn’t think straight, my mind constantly plagued by her absence.
When Ellen approached me, her hand outstretched in an attempt to comfort me, I involuntarily flinched away, the mere touch sending a jolt of discomfort through me.
Her shocked expression mirrored my own restlessness, but I couldn’t bring myself to explain. “I’m not in the mood to talk right now, Ellen,” I muttered, my voice strained with frustration.
But Ellen persisted, calling out to me as I turned to leave. “Caspian, please wait!” she pleaded, her voice tinged with concern.
Ignoring her pleas, I continued on my way, unable to face her or anyone else.
The evening air hung heavy with tension as we gathered around the dining hall table, me, my beta and parents, with Ellen and her parents. It was like a ritual for both families to sit together, wine, dine and then discuss the upcoming wedding.
My mind was elsewhere, consumed by thoughts of Aria and the ache of her absence.
My father’s voice broke through my thoughts, pulling my attention back to the present.

I cleared my throat, my gaze darting around the table as I struggled to find the right words. “It’s private,” I finally managed to say, my voice strained.

But Ellen, ever perceptive, spoke up, her concern evident in her voice. “What could be so private that you don’t want to share with anyone?” she questioned, her eyes searching mine for answers.

“It’s no one’s d**n business,” I snapped, the words harsh and biting. “I’m the Alpha, and I’ll handle my affairs as I see fit.”
The gasps that flew around the table were like a slap in the face, and I could feel the weight of their judgmental stares bearing down on me.
But it was Ellen’s trembling voice that cut through the silence, her words heavy with disbelief. “Caspian…don’t tell me…you were sleeping with…with Aria,” she whispered, her eyes wide with shock.
