Dustin’s face did not change.

“Thirty million dollars,” he shouted.

“Thirty–five million dollars!”

“Forty million dollars.”

Michael was determined to outdo Dustin and kept topping his bid.

Everyone watched in shock as the two kept bidding.

Simone looked alarmed. But she did not stop Dustin.

‘He must have a plan,’ she thought to herself and tried to calm her nerves.

But could Dustin really afford that much money?

Was it worth spending so much on Clara’s calligraphy?

“Fifty million dollars!” Michael had a vicious look on his face.

Even though he was rich, he was at his limit.

Besides, he had also bid on several other works before this. In total, he had spent nearly 100 million dollars already.

It was not that he could not pay the money. It was just that he was going to get lectured when he got home after spending so much money on items that were not very valuable.

“Sixty million dollars,” Dustin said calmly.

“You!”

Michael was livid, and he seethed in rage. He did not dare to keep bidding.

He huffed and flung his hands to his sides. “I want to see if you can really cough up sixty million dollars!”

Clara looked at Dustin pointedly from the stage.

“Deliver my calligraphy to Mr. Fox,” she said with a grin. “Let’s all congratulate Mr. Fox!”

The hall resounded with applause. Many of the attendees sneered.

Spending sixty million dollars on one of Clara’s works could be seen as a show of wealth. But to most, it seemed utterly foolish.

:

Did Dustin have so much money that he did not know where else to spend it?

When the calligraphy was presented to Dustin, he picked it up indifferently.

Then, he hurled it to the floor. The frame shattered into a million pieces.
