Chapter 68 Unsettled Issues
Amos certainly didn’t expect someone like Christopher to be skilled at fighting. He pointed a finger at
the latter and said, “Okay, fine. You’re such a thug, huh? How dare you hit me? You’re done for.”
“You’re still acting all high and mighty after hitting my friend?” Christopher responded with an icy gaze.
“Let me tell you this—I don’t care who you call. You won’t be able to protect your girlfriend.”
“D*mn! You must really think you’re all that!” Amos was instantly enraged. He took out his phone to call
several of his wealthy friends who were inside the private room.
A phone rang inside the room, and as its owner took the call, Amos’ voice came through. “Tyler,
someone just hit me! But he can fight, so we’re no match for him. Come give us a hand!”
“What? Who the hell is it? We’re always the ones picking on others. Who dares to lay a finger on us?
Does he think I’m someone he can walk over?” Tyler Wheeler immediately stood up, and the other men
began following him out of the room.
“Tyler, both guards that Amos brought with him were beaten up. It looks like the guy really knows how
to fight. How about we call Mr. Pierce and ask him to lend us a few men?” a young man commented
softly.
With a nod, Tyler dialed another number, and the person who answered was none other than Pierce
Kirk, the son of Sky Dragon Bar’s owner, Malcolm Kirk.
Pierce was considered the boss of their little group, and he was usually the one who took care of
matters that they couldn’t settle on their own.
“Pierce! We’re at Sky Dragon Bar, and one of our men has been hit. The opponent seems to be a
fighter. We were hoping you could give us a hand,” Tyler explained as soon as Pierce picked up the
phone.
The latter flew into a rage. “Sh*t! Someone must be tired of living. I’m on my way. I so happen to be
here too.”
Tyler was elated to learn that Pierce was at the bar too. “Pierce so happens to be here,” he announced
after hanging up.
It wasn’t long before Pierce emerged from a private room. Tyler and his gang went up to him
immediately. “It wasn’t a big deal at first, but things have escalated to a point that we had to call you.
Sorry for the trouble.”
With a darkened gaze, Pierce beckoned the bar manager over. “What can I help you with, Mr. Pierce?”
the latter asked respectfully, walking over at once.
“Someone hit one of our distinguished guests. Get a few men to bring that guy up here,” Pierce ordered
coldly.
“Of course, Mr. Pierce. Leave this to me,” the manager responded ingratiatingly before waving a hand
in another direction. “Come with me!”
Without a moment of delay, the bar manager immediately brought eight burly men with him and headed
downstairs.
These were all the manpower Sky Dragon Bar had, for there were rarely people like Christopher who
would cause a stir here. After all, everyone knew this was Malcolm’s turf, and only those who had a
death wish would dare put on airs at the bar.
Meanwhile, Amos continued to wait downstairs, afraid that Christopher would try to run away. “You’d
better not run off!” he shouted, aware that the three of them would be incapable of stopping him.
“I won’t. We haven’t even settled our issues,” Christopher scoffed in response.
“Sh*t! I’ve never met a guy as insolent as you.” Amos had never thought there would be someone who
didn’t fear Sky Dragon Bar—unless the said person was a lunatic.
At that very moment, a series of footsteps could be heard coming from outside. “Oh, no. Sky Dragon
Bar’s guys are here, and there are so many of them!”
“This guy’s about to get real unlucky.”
“Well, he chose to offend the guys behind Sky Dragon Bar, of all people. This is practically suicide.”
A group began discussing the situation, anticipating what might happen next.
The store manager couldn’t help but sigh. Looks like this guy’s about to meet his end. So what if he has
the money? He should’ve never caused a scene.
The bar manager soon arrived, and Amos grew excited to see eight giant-like subordinates with him.
“Lend me some help here!”
The bar manager knew Amos too, and he nodded. “Don’t worry. Mr. Pierce has given his order.”
Amos was thrilled to hear that Pierce, the head of their pack, had brought them reinforcements.
“I’ll see what else you can do now, punk!” he threatened.
Lulu sighed with relief before giving Amos a thumbs-up. “You’re the best, Amos! I knew I could count
on you!”
Erisa grew anxious as she watched the group of men making their way over, but Christopher merely
patted her head. “Don’t be afraid. Everything will be okay.”
“Our boss wants you to meet him upstairs. I hope you don’t make things difficult for us,” the bar
manager remarked while walking over slowly. Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
