Chapter 2284
Despite all that, Sheldon knew he couldn't just admit that to Yesseca.
His main goal was to get Tremaine and Yesseca back together.
But he didn't ask Tremaine to join them for dinner that night.
This was entirely his own decision.
He saw Tremaine's deep affection for Yesseca.
And so he hoped the two would get back together!
Hearing Sheldon's words, Yesseca was stunned, looking at him in confusion.
He could only tell her the truth. "Miss Cowell, in fact, he was here today at the store's opening."Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
She froze.
What?
Tremaine was here?
Although many came to the opening event, she had never expected that Tremaine would too.
"But I didn't see him." She looked at him as if he was lying.
If Tremaine had come, she would have known.
Sheldon gave a wry smile.
He said, "He knows you will be upset if he shows up and he wanted you to be happy today. So he didn't show himself."
Her feelings were everywhere and after a while, she said stiffly, "I'm glad he knows his limits!"
"We saw Preslie's family going to the store as we were leaving. I told him about the times they came troubling you. So he asked me to follow them and arrest them if needed."
Speaking of this, he said in a meaningful tone, "Miss Cowell, he did this for you because he didn't want you to be unhappy because of Preslie's family. Yesseca didn't say anything.
She bit her lower lip.
She was feeling a little confused, annoyed and something else.
A few seconds later, she said, "Did he think I would forgive him because he did this? No, it's impossible."
Sheldon smiled bitterly again. "Miss
Cowell, he never wanted for you to forgive and that's why he didn't want to let you know all this. I was the one who wanted to tell you."
A look of astonishment flashed across Yesseca's eyes. At this moment, Preslie came back.
As soon as they saw her, Sheldon

and Yeşseca seemed to have reached an invisible tacit
understanding and did not mention Tremaine again.
Time flew by.
A week had passed since Sheldon had said those words to Yesseca.
And business had been well for them in the past week.
Almost all the dessert and pastry were sold out before noon.
Preslie was overjoyed.
This new store's business was even better than the old one.
No matter how good the business of the old shop was, they had never sold out everything before noon.
While Yesseca was happy too, she noticed something was wrong.
How could business be so good?
Previously they had done a lot of publicity for the whole store. Hence most of the townspeople came when they first opened up. But never once had they sold out before noon.
There was something strange going on.
Yesseca started to observe, and finally, she noticed a few customers who would come at a fixed time to buy everything every day. She went up to one of them. The customer told her he was a company's supervisor, and he was buying them for his colleagues.
