11 It's Over

Colton POV

I head to my room before anyone can try to talk to me. I can't deal with the questions I know are coming. This can't be happening. She wouldn't even let me explain. I know what I did was wrong, but how could she just leave? "There is no but. How would you have felt if we walked ir on Lily with one of the pack warriors," Cash says with a growl.

I slam my fist into the wall over and over until my knuckles are bloody. I can't lose Lily. I will beg for her forgiveness if I have to. I'll never accept her rejection. She is meant to be mine.

I head into the bathroom peeling off my clothes. When I look into the mirror I notice the side of my face where Beck hit me is turning black and blue. "Take a good look. You deserve far worse. I won't be healing your face or your hand. You can look in the mirror every day until you heal and remember what you did to our mate," Cash says before he blocks me.

Lily POV 

I stretch feeling far better than when my head hit the pillow last night. Seeing what could have been definitely helped me understand that there is a bigger picture. I'm ready to deal with Colton and talk to Mindy about my true mate. I take a quick shower. I pull on jeans and a gray

t-shirt. Pulling my hair into a ponytail and throwing on some chapstick, I head out of my bedroom. My parents are sitting at the table, both with coffee mugs in their hands.

My mother jumps up as soon as she sees me. She pulls me into a hug and I breathe in her familiar scent. She steps back, and I can tell she is worried about all I said before I went to bed last night. A voice I wish I didn't have to hear again calls out to me. It's funny but all the anger I had

about her f**king Colton has faded. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind kicking her a** but she isn't the one that was supposed to love me and only me. Colton made the choice to cheat. She is just pathetic and, honestly, I have no desire to entertain her.

"Lily, you don't mean that," Colton says from behind me and I resist the urge to roll my eyes. "Leave now," I say to Camille. Her hand is still on her throat but her breathing has returned to normal. She runs off like her a** is on fire down the stairs. I turn to face the man that I thought would be my forever, but now all I see is a boy that I feel nothing for.

"What happened to your face?" "Your dad stopped by last night. I'm surprised he only punched me once," he says. I fight the urge to smile knowing my father popped him and his wolf isn't healing him. "Colton, we need to talk about our mate bond." "I agree. You will never know how

He quickly moves toward me and drops to his knees. I thought his tears and pleading would make what I'm about to do more difficult, but it doesn't. Between seeing him with her and what the goddess showed me, all the romantic love I had for Colton disappeared like a puff of smoke.
