Janet was waiting for the porcelain she liked to be auctioned.

Looking at the auction list he bought at a high price, Ernest was a little puzzled, “Strange.”

“What’s wrong?”

Janet didn’t trust that list at all.

Ernest frowned, “The list was right except for the porcelain you like. It was supposed to be auctioned

before the necklace.”

He bought the list to reassure her because she wanted the porcelain so much.

But it didn’t work, it only made him anxious.

Janet was nervous, “Maybe they changed the order.”

She remembered how much her father had liked it when he was in the hospital.

Unfortunately, Janet didn’t see it until the auction was over.

“I don’t understand.”

Ernest didn’t want Janet to feel bad.

“I’ll ask the manager.”

Janet followed him hurriedly.

Lennon was a little surprised when Janet stopped him.

He asked politely, “What can I do for you?”

He had heard about Janet’s dispute with Winifred at the banquet.

Janet asked, “I’m sorry to bother you, but I came today for a piece of porcelain. I didn’t see it.”

Lennon finally understood why Nathaniel wanted to buy it.

But he couldn’t tell her the truth. He said, “It is not flawless. So I didn’t auction it today.”

Was that so?

Janet was relieved. She smiled, “It’s Okay. I will buy it anyway.”

Lennon didn’t know how to reply to her.

Janet kept saying, “No matter how much it takes, I will buy it. Please.”

Lennon felt guilty for lying to her..

“To be honest, someone has ordered it already.”

He didn’t want Nathaniel and Janet to hate each other more, so he didn’t plan to tell her the whole

truth.

However, Janet was firm. He had to tell her some truth.

Janet took a step forward, “Who?”

Was it Conrad?

Lennon said, “Sorry. I can’t tell you that.”

Janet was stunned for a moment.

Orville came over, “It’s only a piece of porcelain. I have many. You can choose one from my

collections.”

Ernest tried to stop him, but he didn’t notice.

Orville was wondering if he had said something wrong.

Janet said firmly, “No, I must have it back.”

Nathaniel, Winifred, and Quintina came out of their booth.

Janet saw the porcelain was in Nathaniel’s hand.

“Wait!”

Janet sped up to catch up with him. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Looking at her face, Nathaniel still had feelings for her.

But, thought of the two men by her side and what she did to him in Longfellow Group, he restrained his

feelings.

He asked coldly, “What’s the matter?”

“I want to buy the porcelain.” She said calmly.

“No.”

He refused directly and wanted to leave.

He was always like this. She was a stranger to him, and he never stopped for one second for her.

But…

Janet still remembered how excited her father was when he bought this piece of porcelain. He asked

them to appreciate it with

him together.

Those were the memories she would never forget.

She didn’t want him to have her memory. He didn’t deserve it.

“Please. No matter how much you charge, I will pay you.”

She stood in front of him. Her eyes were full of determination.
