Chapter 1664
"Hold this." Nash placed the spearhead in Lana's right hand.
"In a moment, I'll guide your hand and we'll draw an array pattern. Remember to infuse it with your spiritual energy." Nash's deep, magnetic voice resonated in Lana's ear, and his warm breath brushed against her fair neck. Lana felt a tingle run down her spine. She pressed her legs together and replied somewhat flusteredly, "Okay!"
Nash held a stone in his left hand and guided Lana's delicate, soft right hand with his right to draw the array pattern. Not knowing what an array pattern was, Lana simply followed Nash's instructions and channeled her spiritual energy into the spearhead. After a minute, they completed one array pattern. Without pausing, Nash picked up a second stone to continue carving.
Lana's face was flushed. Suddenly, inspiration struck as the second part of her story, The Fox Demon Adventures, came to her. The plot that had eluded her for so long now seemed clear.
She murmured, "After being severely injured, Cliffton loses his cultivation and memory. He studies hard, hoping to gain a title. Meanwhile, Lindsey, filled with remorse, asks her master to teach her to read and write every day. Then, with her hand in his, Cliffton teaches Lindsey how to write."
"Just like what we're doing now?" Nash's lips curled into a slight smile.
Lana's ears turned red as she retorted irritably, "Mr. Calcraft, you're disrupting my thoughts!"
Nash chuckled awkwardly. "Sorry, you can continue. I won't interrupt you anymore."
"You think inspiration comes just like that?" Lana pouted. She then shifted slightly and whispered almost inaudibly, "Mr. Calcraft, are you... getting excited again?"
"Sorry!" Nash shifted back to avoid pressing against Lana.
Ten minutes later, their combined effort yielded ten array patterns. With his right leg still somewhat numb, Nash hobbled around and buried the stones around the shelter.
The shelter twisted, then vanished from sight. Lana's eyes widened in astonishment from where she was sitting on the grass. Before her, the shelter had transformed into a quaint historical-looking structure.
Outside the structure, green mountains, clear waters, and faint smoke gave the impression of the secluded retreat she had just envisioned for Cliffton and Lindsey.
Nash walked into the shelter and buried the last stone in the sand.
"Is this... an array?" Lana asked, staring at Nash in shock.
He just nodded. "Yes, it's just a simple illusion and concealment array."
Nash glanced at the scenery within the illusion array, surprised. Lana was not yet a great-grandmaster, but she had already cultivated spiritual power!
When they were carving the illusion pattern earlier, Lana had been thinking about Cliffton and Lindsey's secluded residence. The illusion
array had captured the impe
formed in her spiritual power and created this serene landscape.
"They must be nearby. Let's split up and search!" a voice sounded all of a sudden. It sounded like a middle-aged man.
Lana looked toward the source of the voice with a vigilant expression and saw a well-dressed young man walking straight toward them-it was Jaskier!
Lana's pupils contracted, and she
instinctively moved closer to Nash. Jaskier was a member of the Klien family. He was ignorant, incompetent, and often frequented various nightclubs. Every time he saw her, he would shamelessly express his love to her. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
He had even threatened her, saying he would sleep with her sooner or later.
"Do you know him?" Nash asked casually when he noticed her frightened expression.
"He's Jaskier from the Klein family," Lana replied softly, hugging her knees.
Nash's interest was piqued. "The Kleins? Well, now I'm wide awake!" He immediately perked up, grabbed his spear, and walked to the array switch, which was the last array stone he had placed.
This stone was an isolation stone,
designed to completely separate the illusion array from the outside world.
While one could see the outside ne
world from inside the array, those on the outside could not look ing
The downside was that attacks could not pass through the array either. If Nash wanted to attack Jaskier, he needed to remove the isolation stone.
