Madelyn also felt that the dress was quite her style. She sat down and complimented Paisley, "Paisley
himself has a good eye."
Benjamin didn't reply to her.
Claire, the housekeeper, brought over a Western-style breakfast and said apologetically, "Oh, I didn't
know Ms. Green would be here! You'll have to make do today. Please tell me what you like and I will
make it for you tomorrow morning."
Madelyn loved Chinese breakfast, but she was at Benjamin's house and his housekeeper worked for
him.
She had no reason to give the housekeeper instructions.
She smiled slightly and said, "This is rather nice."
Claire breathed a sigh of relief as she heard that. She felt that Madelyn seemed to be someone easy to
get along with. She rubbed her hands and went into the kitchen to work with great dexterity.
Benjamin folded the newspaper.
He looked at Madelyn and found that she was drinking milk with downcast eyes. After all, she came
from a middle-class family and ate politely without any affected air.
He thought that she was a joy to behold.
Benjamin came from a better family than others. As he grew up, he was rather popular among
countless women because of his appearance and ability. He set the bar rather high and was quite
picky. Other men may like those naive little girls who knew little about life to keep them company, which
made them satisfied. But Benjamin was not one of them. He would first pay attention to the
compatibility if he wanted to have a serious relationship with a woman. He thought that the original
family was rather important.
He loved both Madelyn's look and temperament.
And he was even willing to live with her.
But Madelyn had no idea about them. She drank half a glass of milk and decided to tell him after
thinking about it, "Well, I lost all my other jobs, except Florence's class. I have her class tomorrow
night."
He wasn't against it.
He asked her blandly, "Love the piano a lot, huh? I find that you play it rather well. I mean, why don't
you continue your studies?" After all, her family could afford the expense.
She just smiled lightly as she heard that.
In fact, she had thought about it before. She had once received the admission notice from the Monatiz
Academy of Music and had packed her luggage. But Camila objected fiercely. She said Madelyn was
the child she brought up with great difficulty and she couldn't let Madelyn go away.
Camila didn't have a kid in her life and thus was very possessive towards Madelyn.
After a month's seesaw, Madelyn chose to stay at Gredax.
Her teacher said to her regretfully, "Madelyn, you are the most talented child I have ever seen. It is
such a pity that you choose to teach here instead of going abroad for further study."
But she felt that there was no need to tell Benjamin about it. It was her own life.
He found that something was wrong with her look. As he was about to say something, his phone rang.
It was a message from his father.
"Benjamin, we have a clue to Leonardo's daughter whom he has been looking for for many years. Just
spare some time when he comes back from abroad."
Alexander also sent a picture.
It was a pink diamond necklace.
He found it rather familiar, but he couldn't remember it for the moment.
Coincidentally, Paisley called and he just left the photo album. Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
Paisley worked effectively. He had arranged the bail matter for Samuel and waited for Benjamin to sign.
Benjamin hung up the phone.
He said to Madelyn, "I'm going to the detention center. Well, just go home and wait for my news. I think
you will see him today."
She was rather grateful to him and thanked him softly.
He took his coat and got up, looking quite personable. She changed her shoes and accompanied him
to the downstairs.
There was a black luxury car parked.
Paisley was waiting as he stood by the car. Seeing Madelyn, he nodded politely as a way of greeting,
"Ms. Green."
Madelyn also gave a nod.
Benjamin opened the car door and got in. As he was good-looking with a perfect demeanor, he looked
so elegant and dignified.
Suddenly, what he had said occurred to her mind.
"Madelyn, we are together, but who is taking advantage of the other!"
She couldn't agree more at that time.
She watched as he drove away. When she was about to go upstairs, her phone rang.
It was Daniel.
She still answered the phone after thinking about it. She only said a few words softly, "Daniel, I've
changed my mind."
