Chapter 270
Olivia was so furious that she laughed.
She yelled out his name when Connor walked past her. However, Connor did not respond to her. He did not even bat an eye at her. It was as if he did not hear her or see her at all.
Walking over to Naomi, he apologetically said, "I'm sorry. I apologize on behalf of Olivia." He bowed.
Olivia's eyes widened in disbelief, looking at Connor.
He was apologizing to Naomi on her behalf? What right did Naomi have to make him apologize?
Olivia looked at Connor as if he was nuts.
Naomi, still in Charles' arms, composed herself and tried to stand up once more. She was taken aback when she heard Connor apologizing to her and even bowing to her.
Connor truly was solemnly apologizing to her on Olivia's behalf.
"I'm sorry, I can't accept your apology."
Connor was a little surprised. He stood up straight and looked at Naomi.
Naomi's face was pale. She pursed her lips, but she looked nonetheless calm. There was not a hint of weakness or anger in her expression. She looked so calm, it was as if she would not hurt a person.
Naomi turned to look at Olivia behind Connor. Olivia was stunned yet furious. "You didn't do anything to me, so you don't need to apologize to me."
Olivia laughed as if she had heard a great joke. She looked around and out of the window before looking at Naomi, and then at Connor. "Mad. Everyone's gone mad!" S
She turned and was about to leave in her stilettos when Naomi said to her, "Ms. Carver, please stop right there."

might sound quiet, but Olivia heard her clearly. Even the customers all around also heard her. S
It was pin-drop silence.
Olivia stopped in her tracks and turned. She smiled condescendingly at Naomi. "Stop? What, do you still think you're not embarrassed enough?"
Naomi looked at Olivia sneering and turned to say to Charles. "I'm fine." She was not flustered or angry whatsoever.
Charles looked at Naomi. Although she was calm and collected, her gaze was no longer gentle. She wanted to deal with Olivia on her own. Charles nodded. "Alright." He was going to be by her side. As long as she needed it, he would always be by her side.
He let go of her.
Naomi smiled before taking a step forward to Olivia.
Olivia was no longer angry at that moment. Instead, she seemed curious as to what Naomi was about to do. She looked at Naomi and smiled.
Naomi noted how smug Olivia was as if no one could do anything about her. Naomi decided to say something about that.
