Chapter 74
Pamela's phone call left Dylan speechless.
Truth be told, Pamela provided very limited information over the past few years. Dylan and Nelson had gone to many places, most of which were unsuccessful.
If it weren't for Nelson's insistence that this person truly existed, he would've thought Pamela was making everything up.
"There hasn't been any news about it for years. How do you suddenly have news now that you've been told to turn yourself in?"
Dylan sneered and hung up the phone on Pamela, refusing to deal with her.
He wondered if Pamela thought everyone to be a fool.
Even after Dylan had hung up on her, Pamela was still excited.
It was because she had guessed the identity of that person.
Pamela felt she had regained her leverage. After all, that person must have held a special place in Nelson's heart since he had been searching for them for so many years.
Hence, she would continue to thrive in the entertainment industry and live her exemplary life.
…
The next day, Sabrina and Abigail went horseback riding and boating and even admired the snow scenery on the mountain in Panshaw.
Nelson was very patient and even took pictures of her.
Abigail asked Sabrina if she would consider not divorcing him if he genuinely settled down and stopped fooling around.
Sabrina wasn't sure about the answer as she was pretty conflicted.
After all, the feelings from her youth were too deep, and he was her first love.
Previously, she had truly hoped her wishes would come true.
But now, even though Nelson was around and trying to please her, Sabrina's feelings remained cold.
After a day of wandering, Sabrina and Abigail looked at the stars in the courtyard.
The hotel owner had brought them some handmade wine. It tasted good but had a strong aftereffect.
Sabrina had two glasses and was lazily slumped on the sofa.
By the time Nelson completed his work, he saw that she was already in a dazed and intoxicated state.
Abigail now found him particularly annoying and didn't want to see him at all. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
When he came over, she said goodbye to Sabrina and ran off.
Sabrina lifted her head to glance at him but didn't move as she remained lazily slumped.
"Are you drunk?"
"No," Sabrina answered.
She had downed her second glass too quickly, which made her slightly dizzy, but she was still clear- headed and aware.
The night was cold in Panshaw. Although she had wrapped herself in a blanket and curled up on the sofa, she was still freezing.
Nelson hugged her and held her in his arms. Perhaps it was the alcohol's influence, but Sabrina obediently leaned against him and gazed at the stars.
He stared at her fair neck and her strands of hair blowing in the breeze. He lowered his head and kissed her.
"What's the plan for tomorrow?"
"Abigail and I are cycling to another city to look around."
"Shall I accompany you?"
He leaned in slightly and domineeringly trapped her in his arms, then looked into her eyes.
Sabrina said nothing but gazed at his handsome face under the dim light.
Since their marriage, this was one of the rare moments of tenderness he had shown her.
"Suit yourself," she said, trying to avert her eyes away. However, Nelson grabbed her chin and kissed her.
Sabrina didn't resist. After all, they had been very intimate the night before.
Still, she had some regrets afterward, as the issues between them remained unresolved.
She wasn't someone who would make a fuss, so she considered it a romantic encounter on this trip.
As Nelson lost himself in the kiss, his phone rang.
Without leaving her lips, he took out his phone and answered it.
"Mr. Tucker, I sent you something. Please take a look. It's urgent."
Dylan's voice came through.
Nelson supported himself in front of Sabrina and launched his WhatsApp.
Dylan had sent him a sketch, and the person in the sketch was him.
The fire burning inside Nelson was immediately put out.
Sabrina's eyes were filled with lust. Her red lips were alluring, and she was highly seductive that night.
He struggled for a moment, then pulled away.
The chilly wind blew by as he left.
Sabrina twisted her neck and watched Nelson walk away, assuming it was a work call.
She continued to curl up there and gazed at the stars.
When Nelson returned, he said, "Sabrina, I'm returning to Slitton first."
She replied with an "oh" and saw him hurried into the room.
She followed and leaned against the doorframe, watching him toss his clothes haphazardly into the suitcase. She didn't ask much.
Nelson arrived at Pamela's place at the break of dawn.
Pamela sat on the sofa, looking fragile.
"The fire was intense back then, so there are many things that I can't remember. But suddenly, I remembered that she can draw…"
Nelson grabbed Pamela's arm.
"Do you know who she is?"
