Chapter 48
Isabel's nails were immaculately manicured, making her look very sophisticated. Not even a single drop of juice seeped out from the orange when she peeled it.
She carried herself with poise, looking effortlessly graceful even when she was peeling an orange. So, Anderson fancied this type of woman. No wonder Mayra never caught his eye.
Mayra replied in a lilted tone, "Andy told me to stay here." She studied Isabel's expression carefully.
Isabel paused slightly, but her expression remained perfectly masked. Still, her subtle reaction betrayed her thoughts.
Mayra didn't bother about her thoughts. She wouldn't interfere in her relationship with Anderson as long as Issbel didn't cause her any trouble. Isabel placed the peeled orange in Mayra's hand. "That's great! You don't have to be alone, and Andy doesn't have to worry about you as well. "The mansion's too big. After I'm married to Andy, you can keep me company and chat with me. Otherwise, I'll be all alone with no one to talk to." Mayra marveled at Isabel's skills in masking her true intentions. She knew how much Isabel loathed her, and the last thing she wanted was for her to stay. Isabel's hospitality toward her was only meant to please Anderson. From NôvelDrama.Org.
Mayra flashed a nonchalant smile at her. She had lived twice. Yet, her resentment for Isabel hadn't changed one bit.
"I didn't accept, but still Andy gave me the keys."
"What's wrong? Why didn't you choose to move in? Are you still worried about something? Mayra, is it because you haven't accepted me yet, so you're reluctant to stay?"
Isabel grasped her hand in the next instant. "Come with me."

Mayra had no idea where she was taking her. They went up to a room next to the master bedroom on the second floor. She was still spiraling in bewilderment when Isabel took the keys from the maid and opened the door.
"What is this?"
Once the door opened, she was greeted by a gorgeous room. Pink curtains draped over a princess bed, and she also saw a huge vanity and wardrobe. Plenty of adorable pastel clothes filled the wardrobe.
"Andy prepared these for you a long time ago. He treats you like his own sister. He might not have announced it in publie, but it's for your own good as well You're still young after all. We still have plenty of time to work on things."
Mayra stepped into the room in a daze. Did Anderson prepare all these? He never did this in her previous life.
A wave of emotions suddenly washed over her. She had always thought Anderson didn't want her by his side. However, he had already prepared a room for her at the mansion.
His unexpected affection caught her off guard, especially when she hadn't done anything to deserve it this time. She had always clung to him in her past life.
"Stay at the mansion tonight," Isabel said. "Andy will drop you off at school tomorrow."
She gave Mayra a tour of the
mansion. Fatigue washed over
Mayra after a while. Since she didn't
sleep well yesterday, her eyelids felt
leaden at this point. She fell into a deep slumber as soon as she returned to her room.
Isabel left after she took Mayra back to her room. She went downstairs.
