Chapter 704
It was too late to stop Colin.
"I don't want to sleep alone."
I wished I could find a hole to hide in. Why did he have to be so direct? Did he not want his reputation anymore?
"Go home, okay? I'm going to hang up now."
"I want to sleep with you. Baby, please come back quickly. My head hurts, and I can't sleep. I want you to give me a massage."
Colin was pouting and looking at me with grievance as his sparkling eyes turned red.
A drunk Colin was the total opposite of his usual self. He was usually like a wolf but would turn into a lamb when he was drunk.
What was next after asking for a massage? A kiss?
I begged he wouldn't. It was already embarrassing enough. It couldn't get any worse.
"Colin, go home and sleep right now. If you really can't sleep, call the police."
I was startled by the sudden voice and couldn't understand the words said. What did calling the police have anything to do with going to sleep? Also, who dared to reprimand Colin like this? Oh, it was the professor.
"Professor, do the police even care about putting people to sleep now?" I bravely faced Professor King's disdainful gaze and asked him.
He solemnly shook his head and said, "Are the police so free now? But going to the police station can definitely sober up a drunkard."
So that was what he meant.
The professor was just messing with Colin again.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
Over the past few days, Colin had made countless video calls, checking in with me so strictly that it angered the professor. He scolded Colin for being useless and a clingy worrywart.
Colin didn't back down either, retorting that if the professor didn't drag me everywhere and paid more attention to his son, then he wouldn't have to keep an eye on me like a hawk every day.
The professor fumed with anger and scolded Colin for being disrespectful to him and not caring about the juniors. He also said that if he had known Colin's attitude sooner, be wouldn't have accepted Colinas his student.
The supposedly casual chat between lovers eventually evolved into a passionate exchange of words between a mentor and his student. I couldn't even remember when the call ended. The results of the week-long competition would take two to three months as they would be evaluated by a committee of professionals.
So, everyone went home in high spirits, satisfied with their performances in the competition.
At eight in the evening, the bus stopped at the gate of Jesselton College.
I saw Colin's handsome face and tall figure standing under the light as soon as the car door was opened. He was looking at me with a gentle and warm gaze as the light shone down on him.
The joy of reunion after a short
separation was so sweet that I couldn't care less about the professor's murderous gaze. I stood on the steps of the bus and bent my knees, eager to try jumping out of
the bus.
Colin knew of my mischievousness and saw through my intention. He took two steps forward, finding a safe position before spreading his arms and nodding slightly at me. "Come."
I bent a little more and jumped with force, leaping toward Colin. His long arms caught me in his embrace as wrapped my legs around his waist and circled my arms around his neck. Then, he spun me around as I laughed heartily with my head thrown back.
The night was beautiful with the warm lights and clear laughter.
The professor left quickly and muttered about the decline of moral standards, lamenting on how Colin could be a professor.
Everyone else just whistled and praised Colin for his actions, urging him on. One of them even shouted loudly, "Mr. White, don't waste such a good opportunity. Bring your bride home."
