Chapter 20
Chapter 20
Chris felt his wife shiver as she called out her dad's name. It came out as surprise or hurt but he didn't
care. At that time all he thought about was himself. Him scoring this time and not her and with the way
she felt beside him, he was already beginning to win. He never thought that it would be that easy.
When he called the old man in the first place and asked him for dinner, he had other plans. He wanted
to humiliate her in front of the old man but it seems he isn't going to break a sweat here. With her
shaking beside him, was more than enough. He just knew that he was the one who was going to call
the shots the whole night. And that had him smirk.
"Mr. Freeman," he called pushing his wife towards the old man. "Sorry for keeping you waiting, you
know women and their dressing."
Of course, he was going to blame her for being late. It wasn't her fault but his. When he went to the
music room, he lost track of time and by the time he got ready, Maya was waiting for him in the living
room but he wasn't going to let that out.
That was the reason he was there anyway. To make his wife pay. Pay for his mother not talking to him
for a whole week and for his best friend being mad at him. And the night was still young if you asked Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
him.
"It's okay," Mr. Freeman said shaking Chris' hand. "I actually thought it was traffic that kept you."
Chris pulled a seat for his wife after she said hey to her dad. She just kept her head held low and her
dad didn't even respond to her greetings. He was actually acting like she wasn't around which had him
thinking again. He sat down too.
"You've done so much for this county," Chris said looking at the old man. "And one of them is ensuring
that there is no traffic like before."
It was true. Mr. Freeman had done so much for the county as the governor. He had build hospital
everywhere and made sure that they were advanced ones. Schools were the best with enough
materials and staff and every kid could access the school. As for roads, he had build them hence
reducing traffic something the previous governors had failed to do.
And for that, he was grateful to him because he could be to somewhere he wanted to be in time. The
only thing he hated about the old man was that he forced him to a marriage. A marriage that he never
wanted and for that, his blood boils every time he hears his name.
"I appreciate that, son."
Just when Chris was about to speak the waiter came to take their orders.
"Please get us a bottle of champagne," Chris said looking at the waiter whose eyes where on his wife.
She wore a black dress that showed her cleavage and he didn't like the lust he saw on the young boy's
eyes. So Chris did what he thought was the best thing at that moment. And that was clearing his throat
to get the attention of the waiter.
His hands where in fist when he spoke up, "If you don't get the hell out of here and get what I asked, I'll
make sure you get fired."
"Sorry Sir, please excuse me," he said walking away but not before he looked at Maya.
Once the waiter was gone, Chris placed his hand on her hand that was on the thigh and squeezed it. It
felt good to hold her hand mostly when she looked up at him with those green eyes that were filled with
confusion.
"So, why did you want us to meet for dinner?" Mr. Freeman asked breaking the thoughts that wanted to
invent in Chris's mind.
Chris pulled his hand away and looked at the man that he was about to forget he existed for a moment
there. Those green eyes had a way of having him want to do thing that he himself was afraid to admit.
That's why he didn't look at them but when he saw the way the waiter was eyeing her, he couldn't help
himself...
"I just wanted us to have a family get together," he said faking a smile. "I mean, it's first time we ate
together since I married your daughter."
"That's a good way to put it," Freeman said raising his hand to the waiter who was purring him the
champagne now.
Chris watched the guy and felt like biting the hell out of his life. What was wrong with the guy and his
wife's cleavage. It's like he had never seen one and to be honest, there was nothing attractive there. It
didn't bother him at all and he didn't get it why it bothered the young man.
"I think we will have another waiter taking our orders."
The waiter looked in shock but he didn't say anything and that made Chris know he was afraid. He
raised the glass to his mouth and took a sip.
"I think you're over protective and after all this marriage is fake." The old man said putting his glass
down, "I mean, my daughter is a whore and that why you're trapped into this forced marriage. If only
you had fucked her behind the cameras, then you won't be in this situation at the moment."
Chris felt his blood boil. It was Mr. Freeman fault that he was trapped in a loves marriage. His fault for
marring him to a whore if he knew she was. His fault that he couldn't be with Kimberly. That had him
having flashbacks. Flashbacks of how his life changed in a blink of an eye.
Chris had been called to perform on show that was helping to donate money for kids with cancer in the
country. He didn't want to go at first but Kimberly insisted that it was the right thing to do. According to
her, he would promote his business and also let the people know that he still was a musician and not a
fashion designer only.
So when the time came, he went to the show. He was called on stage to perform and when he walked
to the crowed, he felt the love. The love for his music although it was second passion in his life. He
loved designing way too much than he loved music. And that's why he had his own company and there
is where is life was.
So he began to perform and the crowd went crazy. The shouted his name and sang along with him.
Roses were thrown on the platform and he loved it. It was crazy to an extent that girls threw bra on the
stage. He loved it.
It was had been a while and yet, people loved him. If it wasn't for music, then he wouldn't have been
where he was. He began with music so that he could save up for the designing. It was that music that
he went to school and finished his career.
Now he was doing the song that made his album hit. It was called kiss me like you mean it. So he
walked at the end of the platform and searched for a girl to walk on stage and perform with him. It
wasn't the first time to do. Girls were going crazy but there was someone that he was looking for.
He had seen green eyes while performing and there was something that pulled him to them. Something
which made him not to look away as he performed and now that he had the chance to have them more
closer to him, he searched for them. He wanted only those green eyes on his stage.
Chris walked over to where he had seen the girl and she was whispering something back to her friend.
Her friend laughed at it and at that moment he wished that it was him who heard what was being
whispered by the green eyes. She wasn't even paying attention to him and for that only, that is what
made him want her more.
So without even asking for permission, he pulled her on stage and the crowd went more crazy. As for
the green eyes, her eyes held surprise but he didn't let her think that much. He pushed her on the seat
that was at the middle of the platform of began sitting.
She wore a short black dress that showed her thighs which he placed his hands on despite him fighting
with all he could. He cleavage was on the view and at that moment he felt like stripping her naked on
that stage. He felt himself grow excited the moment he looked at her full lips. He had wanted to taste
them the moment he had set his eyes on her.
Hell, he wanted he more than he ever wanted anyone. Just then, he released his hand had gone higher
than it was supposed to. He moved away from her and faster that you would think he had been burned.
He began to sing the chorus of the song as he looked at the screaming crowd. That was the only way
to get his act together.
So baby, kiss me like you mean it,
Don't let them take advantage of me or you,
Neither one of us deserves to be alone tonight,
So kiss me like you're about to die,
Kiss me like you want me for the last time
Kiss me like you're saying goodbye,
Because that's the only way you'll kiss me like you mean it....
The crowd sang along and he walked back to her. She was singing but when he kneeled before her
she stopped and looked at him. His eyes moved all over her body and his hands seemed to have mind
of there own. They moved to her thighs going up in a seductive way.
She held he breath as he began to get up but leaned on her. He sat on her lap and let his eyes linger
on her cleavage for a while, he wanted to kiss her there but it was inappropriate in front the crowd.
They all repeated the chorus again but this time alone.
His concentrate was somewhere else. On those full lips. He just wanted to know how they tasted. Now
the crowd shouted kiss her her like you mean it and he couldn't fight it any longer. His lips were on hers
claiming what never belonged to him. She was sweet. More for his own good and that's why he pulled
her even closer. He didn't mind about his weight on her laps at that time. He wanted more and that's
why he bit her bottom lip to get access to her tongue and hell, he wished they were in a private room
where no one could see them.
To say he was aroused, it would be understatement. He was even afraid of letting he go but they had to
breath and he hand to hide his erection. As for his hands, they were making circles on her inner thighs
which thanks to his legs no one could see what was happening.
So please allow me to kiss you like I mean too,
Because to me, you're me only love,
And the only reason for me to smile.
He finished the last verse as he got up from her lap. He thought by staying there his erection would be
gone but it only hurt him. Chris got up and pulled Maya into a hug. For one, he wanted to hold her in his
arms and two, he wanted to feel her rub against him for the last it. He meant it.
His thoughts were brought back by the voice of his father in law.
"You know, I don't mind you having a mistress. At least she deserves that."
Chris looked at Maya who had said nothing apart from calling her dad and saying hi to him. How could
a father say that? Wasn't he supposed to love his only daughter and protect her from any harm?
At first, he thought that Maya was in this deal with her father but he was missing something here.
They're supposed to be partners in crime. Then why did the old man hate her and wish to see her
suffer. Was that the reason behind him wanting her get married to him?
To see his own daughter suffer? And if yes, why would he do that? Why hate his own daughter to that
extent? Now he had to do his homework well because if they're playing this game with him, he had to
be careful.
"At times, I wish she was dead."
And that made Chris think twice. Why would the old man say that in front of his own daughter?
Something was definitely a mess here and he had to learn the truth.
But how would he do that?
