Chapter 44 Farrah Has Witnessed the Scene

Adrian sneered inwardly. Although Jordan was seven years older, Adrian found his behavior utterly childish. Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

Jordan, why are you throwing such a fit at the personnel changes accepted by everyone else?” Adrian’s tone was calm and measured.

Jordan was furious. Wasn’t that just a question meant to provoke him? However, there was nothing he could do about it.

Jordan’s position was incomparable to Adrian’s. He was just a deputy general manager who had worked diligently for seven years without a promotion. He was simmering with frustration too.

However, Adrian had dismantled his entire team at this critical moment just as he was about to deliver some outstanding results to earn the recognition of the senior executives.

Adrian fixed his cold gaze on him and had seen through his thoughts. “Why would you fear being separated if you weren’t secretly gathering power?”

Jordan paled and was rendered speechless. He could only protest in desperation. “Adrian! You’re slandering me!”

“If you want the job, take it. If not, leave.” Adrian had utterly lost his patience and didn’t care i if Farrah listening

All of a sudden, Jordan seemed to regain his senses. He knew that it would cause the situation to backfire if he pushed it too hard. Adrian was clearly targeting him. Besides, he knew that he was iron handed.

was

However, Jordan was ambitious and had been planning this for long. How would he easily be defeated? “You’d better handle every project perfectly!” He suddenly dropped his aggressive tone, though his words were laced with challenge. “I get that a new leader will always try to make a strong impression. But there are plenty of eyes watching you. It won’t be as easy as you think to earn respect at your age.” “Jordan.” Adrian smiled faintly. “Let me offer you a word of advice as well. Focus on doing your job properly from now on. You wouldn’t want to end up in jail.”

His words sent a chill down Jordan’s spine. Had he uncovered something?

Adrian walked toward the entrance and opened the door before glancing back at the arrogant man who had overstepped his bounds and spoke again, “Mr. Deputy, you can leave now.”

Jordan extremely loathed that title.

it was a reminder that he was still just a deputy general manager. It stung his pride.

The fury in his heart hadn’t subsided. He had endured plenty of frustration today. However, there was nothing he could do but accept the situation. Adrian was now in charge and was the CEO of Prestige Group

Therefore, Jordan turned around and left aggrievedly. He thought what was even worse was that a junior employee had even witnessed the entire scene.

Farrah froze in place. Her entire body stiffened. She didn’t dare to make a noise as she was afraid to be caught in the crossfire.

it wasn’t until the sound of the footsteps grew closer that she blinked and snapped back to reality. She turned her gaze and met Adrian’s dark eyes. She couldn’t help but feel her throat tighten, and a chill ran

down her spine.

He walked toward her slowly and stopped in front of her. His towering figure loomed over her, casting a shadow that enveloped her completely.

She held her breath and knew he wasn’t in the right mood to sign anything.

“Um….” Farrah tried hard to pull herself together and regain focus as she quickly changed the subject. “Ms. Gray had initially sent me for your signature, but I can wait if you’re busy. It’s not urgent.”

With that, she immediately turned to leave with the document in her hand before a large hand appeared in front of her and stopped her in her tracks. She stepped back before looking up at him and froze briefly.

Adrian stared at her with his brooding and cold eyes. She came to her senses and tried to hand him the document. “…I have no idea what it is.”

She lowered her head respectfully.

Adrian extended his hand to take the document and asked casually. “Does she know about us?”

Farrah suddenly lifted her gaze. “I don’t think so. I’ve never mentioned it to anyone.”

The office door was opened at the moment. Germaine walked in and was slightly stunned at the sight of them. She was shocked and displeased.

Adrian walked toward his desk with the document in his hand.

Farrah glanced at Germaine. “Hello, Ms. Keller.” She then followed him and walked over to his desk.

Adrian began to carefully review the document after sitting down.

Farrah secretly breathed a sigh of relief when he finally picked up the pen and signed at the bottom of the document. She could finally report back to Natasha after such a delay,

Germaine couldn’t quite understand. Farrah was just a newly hired junior designer. How would she be working directly with the CEO? What exactly was being signed?
