The Art Of Revenge (Thalia Nash and Brandon)

Chapter 104

Chapter 104

Josh’s Pov

Because of visiting my mother every day, I was somehow acquainted with the care home’s ins and

outs. That sick p*ycho had men following me in their dark-tinted cars, I spotted them the minute I got

into the cab. The fools never even made the effort of hiding or maybe they thought I was s*upid.

I had no clue how they planned to do what they were up to but it was obvious they were going to force

the liver out of me. So I had decided to take a breather and talk to my mother. I had no friends, she was

all I had, and the only I could tell the hell I just find out.

Yes, I was supposed to walk into a police station and tell them my case but that p*ycho owned

everyone in his pockets. I had to be careful with the way I dealt with the case. The only good part was

that I had Kim, she was good with lawsuits and wouldn’t be bought because of the feelings she had for

me. But for the liver donation, I needed to make a decision fast.

I walked into the care home like I did every day and asked for my mother. Even though she was still

having problems recognizing me she was very excited when I told her about her granddaughter. I was

so emotional and in tears, she requested to meet the little girl but I informed her about her condition.

“Why are you not donating what are you doing here?” She had asked.

I had only looked away in shame, she was right. She said something beautiful to me, something that

she never said to me when I was growing up. In a short glimpse not sure if she was back in her head or

it was a new Sharon talking but she told me not to let my children pay for my past as she did.

“Whoever wronged you should be second and your child should be first,” she added.

There was a lot of meaning in her statement even though I was not going to let Thalia and P*ycho off

the h*ok so easily. Even if it was just for one day, I was going to put my princes first. I had kissed her

goodbye and used the back door to get away while the fools waited for me on the front door.

I usually used the back door when I overstayed my visit or the care home was closed. The nurses

allowed it because like everyone in the city, they pitied me, I was the man who stole from the first wife

and got my karma handed back to me by my father who impregnated my second wife. They were

aware my mother was all I got.

As soon as I was in the streets, I got in a cab. I had planned to go to the hospital but then changed my

mind and decided to find out who was in charge of my daughter’s operation. I had found the name and

address and ordered the cab driver to take me there. If I was going to save my daughter, I was going to

do it alone and on my terms.

The doctor was shocked and p*ssed at me but as soon as I introduced myself he took interest. My

initial plan was to find out how long my daughter had and blackmail Thalia to hand over the baby to me

in exchange for the liver but the baby had no time for my legal battle. NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.

My mother’s words kept hamming behind my head so I postponed my plan and decided to donate my

liver. The baby had to come first no matter how hurt I was. She was the innocent angel that was caught

up in all the madness.

But I put my own conditions up, no Thalia or the sick p*ycho insight, or else I was baking out of the

donation, of course, I would still donate if my eyes landed on them but I wanted to show them that I still

had power even though I had no money.

I was going to play the game without hurting my little girl, I had to remind myself every step I made and

the good news was that her p*ycho lover was dying and Thalia was easy to manipulate. She was guilty

and I was going to use that against her.

The doctor had agreed to take me to the hospital to check if I was eligible or if I matched. But my worry

was being a perfect match but not being able to donate because of my past drinking. However, the

doctor assured me eight months was too little for me to have complete liver damage.

I had my fingers crossed as we arrived at the hospital and walked to the lab. But after what seemed like

forever the results were out and I was a perfect match. A wave of relief washed over me but I

immediately asked for the consent forms for the operation. The doctor had given me a shocked look

but I stood my ground, there was no room for negotiations.

To my surprise, he handed me the papers without protest or consulting with Thalia. I grabbed the

papers and signed. He left the room while other doctors remained behind for the preparation. I could

only assume the doctor had gone to give Thalia the forms to sign. I wanted to see their faces when the

half-signed forms were handed to them but I remembered my conditions on the table.

I decided to check on my princess before the operation. I had that honor only, Thalia was not going to

have that chance because I made sure to stay in the baby’s room until the assigned surgeon came for

both of us. I noted they had guards all over the theater floor but they couldn’t show their s*upid faces. It

was a satisfying sight to see.

Yes it was not fair but they replaced my testicles with silicon and they deserved worse. I asked my little

angel to hold on and fight, she had to fight, she was obviously stronger than me, I was the coward in

the family but that was going to change.

We were both prepped for the surgery and taken to the theater, hoping that everything was going to go

as planned.
