The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 19 Overwhelming Strength

Mia strutted around, acting all high and mighty, while Allison just smiled at her. Seeing Allison's smile, Mia quickly toned it down and stood by her side. "Allison, can you really beat them?" Allison gave her a confident nod. "Absolutely!"

The group watching them got even more annoyed.

"Allison, quit showing off. The teacher hasn't said anything yet, so your work must suck!"

Just as they were about to keep going, the tutor stood up from his chair. "Bravo! This program design is spot on. Allison, you're incredible!"

The tutor's praise made the room go dead silent. Everyone looked shocked, except for Allison, who stayed cool as a cucumber. Honestly, this kind of program was child's play for her since she was thirteen. But for most high schoolers, it was still pretty tough.

"Sir, you must be mistaken. How could Allison write a program?" Some folks were still skeptical.

The tutor chuckled and said, "Grades aren't everything. Bill Gates didn't finish college, but he started Microsoft. Some geniuses just don't care about grades! Allison's design is flawless. She didn't just finish a segment; she revamped the whole program. It's fully functional now."

He then projected the program onto the big screen and showed it off. No one said a word, and some even stared at Allison in awe.

Mia was totally lost. She didn't get a single line of code, but hearing the teacher praise Allison made her happy. "Allison, I knew you were the best!" Mia exclaimed.

Acing the exam allowed Allison to join the club, bringing a faint smile to her face.

On the way back to class, Yasmin blocked her path. "Allison, when did you learn programming?"

Allison raised an eyebrow, thinking Yasmin was really clueless.

Allison was a bit annoyed. "None of your business, Yasmin. The world doesn't revolve around you." With that, she brushed past Yasmin and headed back to class.

The whole school was buzzing about the incident, but by the next day, rumors were flying that Allison had copied someone else's program. Despite most high schoolers not knowing squat about coding, they still doubted that Allison could be a computer whiz.

Yasmin was pretty pleased with the rumors, so she took her two best friends to the school store and bought them a bunch of snacks.

"Yasmin, don't worry. That bitch won't last here; she'll get kicked out soon enough!" one of her friends sneered.

Yasmin looked around, still looking troubled. "Allison was pretty good when she was little. I don't know who she hung out with after getting kicked out of the Bennett Family for five years. Now she's learned to cheat. I don't even dare to tell my family about this. I'm afraid my parents will be pissed."

One of her friends said, "Yasmin, you're too nice. She hasn't even gone to college yet and is already copying others' programs. She doesn't deserve to go to college!"

The girls around Yasmin nodded eagerly. After munching on Yasmin's treats, they were even more pumped to badmouth Allison.

Meanwhile, Allison was snoozing away in class. Today, it was Samuel Harris, the math teacher, and he was getting pretty fed up with her.

Samuel slammed his book down on Allison's desk, jolting her awake. She blinked up at him, looking a bit confused.

Samuel barked, "Allison, show some respect. If you love sleeping so much, go home and do it. Why even bother coming to school?"

Classroom discipline affected his performance reviews, and a student sleeping in class made him look bad. Samuel was not a fan of Allison. The other teachers said she had some powerful connections, so even if she slept through school, she'd still have a bright future. This only made Samuel dislike her more.

"Get out of the classroom right now. If you sleep in my class again, don't bother coming back!" Samuel kicked Allison out, which made Mia furious.

"Mr. Harris, you can't just kick Allison out! She's not the only one sleeping. Why single her out? That's not fair!" Mia stood up to argue, but Allison walked over and gently pushed her back into her seat.

Allison said, "Pay attention in class. This isn't your fight." With that, she grabbed her backpack and left, leaving Mia fuming with red eyes.

That morning, Mia had heard a lot of people badmouthing Allison. She couldn't understand why anyone would spread such lies about someone as amazing as Allison.

Allison never cared about what others thought. If she did, she wouldn't have made it this far. As soon as she stepped out of the school gate, her phone rang. It was Cleo. Cleo's voice was excited. "Guess where I am?"

Allison raised an eyebrow. "Did you come to Skycrest?"

"How did you know?" Cleo's loud voice made Allison smile.

Leaning against a tree, Allison debated whether to meet Cleo. Despite working together for years, she'd never met anyone from Genesis Creations in person. Allison sighed, "Cleo, you know I don't want to meet anyone from Genesis Creations."

Cleo insisted, "But we're friends, Allison. I have to see you!"

Cleo was thrilled.

Allison hung up and grabbed a cab to the airport.

When Cleo saw Allison at the airport, she was stunned for a full ten minutes.

"Allison?" Cleo could hardly believe it. "You're still a student? A high school student?"

Allison nodded.

Cleo was in disbelief. "The world's number one hacker is a high school student? No way, how can you be a high school student? Are you even an adult?" Allison touched her nose. "I just turned eighteen!"

Cleo was so shocked she couldn't even put it into words. But eventually, she accepted that Gaia was indeed an eighteen-year-old girl.

Cleo said, "Allison, you owe me a big meal for this!"

Seeing Cleo clutching her chest dramatically, Allison laughed. "How about steak?"

Cleo grinned, "Deal!"
