Chapter 1476
Frank stood at a corner, his eyes growing cold as he stared at Rob's conceited expression.
"Frank Lawrence, was it?"
Jan Lionheart strode over, folding his arms before his chest as he sneered at Frank. "I heard you've been messing with my family a lot of late."
"So?" Frank replied as he strode up, shielding Vicky and the others behind him.
"Don't get so nervous. I'm not interested in you... for now."
Jan grinned as he flicked his ink-green military coat. "But you should strut while the Lord of the Southern Woods is still alive... You will pay your debts when he's gone."
Frank's expression stiffened, and he quickly demanded, "Debts? What debts?"
"Heh-I'm not obliged to tell you," Jan shrugged. "If you know what's good for you now, you will take your girl with you and get out of the Turnbull Estate right now. That way, you'd at least live a little longer."
He was not hiding his threat at all, while Frank flashed his teeth in a grin after a brief silence. "Jan Lionheart, was it? Do you really have what it takes to make me leave? The way I see it, you're the one who should be leaving!"
"You bastard! How dare a manwhore like you speak in that manner to General Lionheart! Do you want to die?!"
Even as Rob bellowed once Frank was finished, the dozens of soldiers armed to the teeth trained their guns on Frank as well.
"Frank... Don't fight him..."
Glen rasped feebly as he regained consciousness, "Among the younger Lionhearts, Jan is only next to the Demon of Volsung Sect. He advanced well into Transcendent rank at a young age-you can't beat him! And he has considerable influence in the military on top of that... he can make life very difficult for you once you mess with him!"
Frank remained undaunted despite
Glen telling him everything about
Glen, and he started straight towards the line of fire of those
dozens of guns.
"Advanced well into Transcendent rank? I can't beat him?"
Frank spoke quietly. "I am a son-in-law of the Trunbull family. I won't stand by and watch when the family is in trouble!"
Even as he spoke, Til Tomek flinched as he hid in a corner, hanging his head guilty.
He had yielded to Jan earlier just to stay alive.
Naturally, he already saw through who Jan was, which was why he had no qualms about surrendering.
"Vicky, take your uncle and the others, and go!"
Frank said just then, before turning toward Til, you still have a spine and remember the debt that Proud Sword Sect owes the Turnbulls, then escort Vicky and the others out of here. Don't make me regard you with contempt!"
Til flushed at Frank's words.
After a while-and as his fellow apprentice Kiki looked on-he walked up to Vicky's side, sword in hand, and escorted Vicky and the other Turnbulls away.
As the others cleared out, Frank breathed a sigh of relief as Jan did not try to pursue Vicky and the others.
Whether he was just too proud or convinced that Frank was no threat to him, he allowed Til and the others to leave.
Rob then began, "Brother, just leave that manwhore to me—"
Jan held up a hand, stopping him.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
