Chapter 2632
"Don't be offended. Mr. Lennon also instructed us to watch over these three guys here," Bobby answered with a smile, not mentioning that they were hired earlier to mess with Sean for 3 thousand dollars.
The four men standing before them were burly and not easy to mess with.
Bobby would not foolishly tell them he had tried to trouble Sean.
"Is that so? How can we be sure you're not associated with these two?" Daniel asked hostilely as he raised his eyebrows skeptically.
Bobby and his henchmen's expressions immediately changed, fear evident in their eyes.
Bobby quickly pulled out his phone, showed the transaction record of Sean's payment, and said, "Look, look! This is the record of the money Mr. Lennon just wired me!"
Zander glanced at it, confirming the identities of the three men in front of him as the same ones Sean had mentioned on the phone.
"I'll take these two back to the company. You three can find Mr. Lennon and help him out with any troubles," Zander said solemnly.
Daniel and his brothers nodded immediately. Daniel looked at Bobby and asked, "Which way did Mr. Lennon go after leaving?"
Bobby pointed in a direction and answered, "That way!"
Later, Daniel and his brothers left the dead-end alley. Zander also lifted one Darkness assassin in each hand and left immediately. It was not until everyone had left that Bobby and his henchmen finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Boss, why do you think Mr. Lennon didn't take revenge on US and instead gave US 10 thousand dollars to watch those two guys when he knew we came to give him trouble?" A henchman asked curiously.
The other henchman also looked curiously at Bobby, his eyes filled with doubt. Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
"How would I know? If I could guess what goes on in the mind of someone like Mr. Lennon, would I still need to hang around with you two on Antiques Street? We shouldn't try to guess the minds of big shots. Who are we to speculate on someone like Mr. Lennon? Maybe he just felt sorry for US, so he gave US 10 thousand dollars," Bobby replied after glancing at his henchmen.
Although it was just speculation, he seemed to figure out most of it.
With Sean's abilities, he could easily discern whether someone harbored ill intentions toward him.
Bobby and his henchmen came intimidatingly as if they were going to beat up Sean, but they showed no trace of malice. It allowed Sean to confirm that these three had simply come to intimidate him to earn 3 thousand dollars.
Sean would not resort to extreme measures and cripple these people. His past experiences had already made him weary of killing. If it were not for his past experiences, he would not have let the two elders from the Sky Sect go after injuring them severely.
Sean would not hesitate to kill those deserving of death. However, those who wanted to make a quick buck did not deserve death. What was the difference between him and savage beasts if he resorted to
mindless killing?
Sean gave Bobby and his henchmen ten thousand dollars simply because of a sudden idea he had. It did not mean Sean was charitable.
