The Lost Female Alpha

Part 2 Chapter 10 - Diana

I had been expecting Arthur to come for me again straight after the little distraction we staged, but he didn't. Instead he left me alone for the rest of the day and the next morning as well. That had me concerned.

I was worried that he had realised there was something else going on, or that he had somehow worked out what I did. One moment he was talking about spending the whole day with me, the next he left me alone and ignored me for twenty- four hours. Something about that didn't seem to add up.

To make things worse, I didn't feel any different after the spell that I cast with Elijah and I was worried that it had failed. I had followed the instructions to the letter but maybe I had missed something. Maybe there was another step to the spell that was mentioned in a different part of the book.

There was so much about all of this that I didn't understand yet. I wish there was a way I could ask my mom about it without Arthur finding out what we were talking about. Who knows, that might be easy now that Arthur no longer seemed so obsessed with me.

I should have known that I was tempting fate the moment that thought crossed my mind. It was only a few moments After that when Arthur walked into my room without knocking or announcing himself. He was dressed in a suit with a burgundy tie and had a few bags in his hands.

"You will get changed into these then come to my room."

I wanted to tell him that I would send Elijah up in a dress in a few minutes, but I was sure he wouldn't get my sarcastic humour so I didn't bother. Instead I just nodded my head meekly. He smiled as he placed the bags on the bed then left the room, closing the door behind himself.

"He wants you to go to his room." Elijah growled. "Yeah."

I didn't like it any more that Elijah did but there wasn't much I could do about it. I wasn't going to let Arthur do anything to me but I couldn't be sure what he wanted and I didn't want to ruin our plan without good cause. He might just want to talk to me.

'Yeah right, and pigs might fly.' Onyx growled.

I didn't know what her problem was. If things went the way that she thought they might then she would have a good excuse to scratch Arthur's eyes out. Or, at the very least slap him across the face.

I let out a deep sigh before peering into the bags that he had brought for me to wear. One of the bags contained a burgundy dress, whereas the others contained jewellery and shoes. There was no underwear in the bags which was a clear indication on how he intended for the evening to go. Well, I was going to wear the most disgusting underwear I had to give him an impression of how I wanted the evening to go.

The outfit that Arthur had chosen for me made me feel sick. It was so skimpy that I would probably get arrested if I tried to wear it in public. A good portion of the bra I had chosen was on show, but I would much rather have him looking at my bra than have him looking at my breasts.

It was only one more day before our plan would come to fruition. I only had to endure Arthur's presence for that long, surely I could manage that. I was sure I would be able to endure anything he had to throw at me, as long as he didn't try to touch me.

I knew Arthur's room looked familiar the moment I laid eyes on it but it took me a few minutes to realise where I remembered it from. I shouldn't have been surprised that the place he had dragged me to in my dreams was his own bedroom but there was something about it that made me feel uncomfortable. Him bringing me to his private space somehow made the invasion of my privacy worse.

He had a small table laid out near the foot of his bed. On top of it there were two silver domes, candles and a bottle of wine. There was a single burgundy rose laid on the table across from Arthur. I rolled my eyes so hard that I was surprised that I didn't see my own brian.

"What is all this about?" I pointed at the table and tried my best to keep the sarcasm out of my voice.

"We are going to have a lovely romantic meal then I am going to mark you."

This wasn't how I had planned for this to go, I didn't know if my spell had worked. What if it didn't? Being bonded to him forever was the last thing I wanted. There had to be some way I could talk my way out of this. If only I was better with my words, if only Elijah was here to help me.

"You said that you wanted me to want you of my own free will."

'That was terrible. You may as well bare your neck and ask him to bite you if that is the best you can do.' Onyx complained. It wasn't as though she would do much better though, her default position seemed to be starting a fight. That wouldn't achieve anything.

"You will. Once I have bitten you, you will be begging me to complete the bond within a couple of days."

"That's hardly free will."

Arthur's jaw clenched tight in annoyance as he weighed my words. I couldn't tell if he was planning to hurt me or go back to ignoring me again. I just hoped that it was the latter. After a few minutes that felt as though they stretched on forever he finally opened his mouth and spoke to me again. "I wanted to do this the easy way but I guess I will have to do this by force."

He turned his attention behind me and the two werewolves which had been standing at the back of the room started moving towards me. I knew then what he had planned and I wasn't going to let it happen, not without a fight at least.

Before they could reach me I darted past them and out of the room. I ran down the corridors with no clear clue which way I was heading. I just had to hope that my internal compass was good enough that I didn't end up running into a dead- end.

After a few turns I found myself back at the staircase that I had been brought up earlier. I risked a glance over my shoulder before starting to take the stairs two at a time. There was nobody in sight.

This was going better than I could have hoped. Maybe I didn't need my elaborate plan after all, maybe Elijah and I could just make a run for it. We could then find another way to deal with Arthur permanently later, when I wouldn't also be risking the lives of people I cared deeply for.

I threw open the door to our room and ran inside but the moment I opened my mouth to speak I felt someone take hold of my wrists. I tried to pull away but there were too many of them. They were holding my wrists and my ankles. The more I tried to fight them, the tighter they held onto me. They had me surrounded.

I looked over towards Elijah to work out why he wasn't helping me, only to see that he had been tied to the bed with silver restraints. He was trying to fight against them but without the help of his wolf he wasn't strong enough. "Why couldn't you just have accepted my bite, why did you insist on doing this the hard way?" Arthur had a smug grin on his face as he observed us from the doorway.

Elijah growled and tried to fight against his restraints with extra vigour. His muscles strained as he tried in vain to free himself. Arthur walked over to me slowly, seemingly enjoying the fact he had us exactly where he wanted us. "I could have made this feel so good for you. It's such a shame to do it this way."

He came up behind me, looming over me for a few seconds before leaning in and sinking his teeth into my neck.
