The Martial Unity

Chapter 2498 One of Many

Chapter 2498  One of Many

Rui stared hundreds and thousands of powerful beasts in the eye as they surged towards the battle.

BADUMP!

His Heart and Mind blazed into power as the endless ocean of darkness within his eyes erupted in a tsunami that washed over the entire world.

An infinite void.

One that flowed from mind to mind.

Like Water.

Simultaneously, a kaleidoscopic fractal mirror expanded from within Ieyasu, greedily consuming all of heaven and earth, assimilating everyone and everything around it. "ROOOAAARRR!!!"

"KRRRIIIEEKKK!!!"

"RAAAWWWRRR!!!"

Golems of the Seerstone region.

Sky Dragons from the Sleeping Isles.

Earthen Basilisks from the Barrens.

Many different creatures of the Beast Domain raged towards them in a frenzied rampage.

And yet, Rui was unperturbed.

When he saw them, he saw the environments antithetical to them as well.

And now, all he needed to do was manifest them in reality.

"Muspelheim." A whisper escaped him as his eyes sharpened with ferocity.

WHOOOOOOSH!!!

The realm of flames and fires descended upon the world as Rui painted the domain on the canvas of heaven and earth. In an instant, the rocks turned to magma before turning into a furious boiling, white-hot lava. The atmosphere crackled as air turned to plasma, sending bolts of lighting in and around the entire battlefield. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

BOOOOOM!!!

The burst of flames spread across all the animals, causing them to roar in the pain that Rui inflicted on all of them. Rui ensured that he kept Muspelheim at less than half of its full potency. He needed to ensure that he could last the entire battle which was several hours long at the bare minimum. Yet, that wasn't all.

"Behold the Tree of Life." Rui's mind embodied the system of thought as his Martial Embodiment shifted from an infinite void to a world of antithetical environments. Each and every beast perceived themselves being consumed by the environment that was objectively the most harmful to their physiologies and anatomies.

He also lowered his anti-Ieyasu domain, allowing Ieyasu to deploy his Mirror of Logos to try and copy Rui's system of thought. Simultaneously, Ieyasu activated some of his own assimilated Martial Art, allowing him to deploy some of the domains needed to specifically and adaptively evolve to each and every single beast and monster, following Rui's cues for what the most antithetical environment was for each of them. BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!

The Masters watched in amazement as the two of them suppressed thousands of quasi-Sage-level beasts and monsters all by themselves.

The two of them were in a league of their own, achieving a level of combat prowess that was almost unheard of in the Master Realm despite their youth. It was truly shocking to many that not only had they reached the Master Realm at an extremely young age, but had somehow managed to hit the very peak at such a young age as well. They sped through the Master Realm within a decade of entering it, reaching a stage where they could single-handedly take on an entire segment of the battlefield and win.

The ripple effects of their incredible feat of dominance and power spread across the entire battlefield. The Martial Sages found that they could let the duo handle beasts that were approaching the Sage Realm while Martial Masters could focus on utterly demolishing all the quasi-Master-level and Master-level beasts with much greater ease.

The lessening pressure was passed on to Seniors, Squires, and eventually even the Apprentices and human infantry were able to heave a sigh of relief at the reduced difficulty. With the presence of Rui and Ieyasu, the third shift had it the easiest out of all three shifts Rui projected the Tree of Life onto the entire world, paralyzing them with the effects the illusion had on their bodies while Ieyasu slowly began copying the system of thought tiny piece by piece.

Rui had told him that it was enormous, yet not even he had imagined that it was so astronomically large. He struggled to copy just a tiny fraction of the Tree of Life evolutionary-environment model.

It was the model born from applying the VOID algorithm to the inheritance of the Elder Tree, which was tons and tons of raw data. It consisted of countless different patterns that existed through the branches of evolution that ultimately allowed one to simply cast a glance at a living creature and, as long as they were part of the Tree of Life of Gaia, he would be able to identify what environment was antithetical to it. Greed flashed in his eyes as he sorely desired this power.

His Martial Path was ineffective against beasts and monsters.

Thus he genuinely appreciated the value of something that would allow him to be effective against them. The Tree of Life was absolutely perfect for that. BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!

The final shift of what had panned out to be a day-long battle was dominant and strong. It finally began to put cracks into what was previously an endless wave of beasts and monsters.

As the battle passed, the Martial Artists began seeing the light at the end of the tunnel as the intensity began slowly reducing after countless Martial Artists endlessly mowed down the beasts and monsters that seemed to be limitless in their reinforcements. Bit by bit, the incoming numbers slowly started reducing.

They could breathe easier and could even push back the wave bit by bit. Although the tide of beasts had been so enormous that it had required siege weapons and Martial Artists to fight for nearly twenty-four hours straight, it was finally approaching its limits as the number of the remaining beasts in the first tide would not last for too much longer.

It marked the beginning of the end of the first tide.

Even though it wouldn't end the same day, it would continue to fall and grow weaker and weaker over the span of the next few days or week.

Unfortunately, they all knew that the first tide was one of many, many more to come. -
