Chapter 208
Tiffany shook her head, saying, "Of course not. It was a coincidence that we came here for lunch. We didn't expect you to be here either."novelbin
Although it looked like they had shown up on purpose, it wasn't Mandy's fault this time. With a frown on his face, Alex called a waiter over and paid the bill. Then, he took his coat and Patricia's bag. It looked like he was planning to leave immediately after Patricia came out of the washroom.
Tiffany couldn't help but say, "Mr. Zander, there's no need to avoid Ms. Stewart like that if you don't have any feelings for her. The more you avoid her, the more suspicious you'll look." Alex frowned but said nothing in response.
Suddenly, a scream erupted from the washroom. Tiffany and Alex looked over at the same time, just in time to see a terrified woman running out.
Alex went up to her and asked, "What happened?"
Pointing at the washroom, she answered, "They're fighting. The two girls inside are fighting..."
Before she could finish, Alex was already sprinting to the washroom. Tiffany was stunned for a few moments, but when she recovered, she promptly got up to follow Alex over.
The door had been kicked down by Alex. When Tiffany arrived at the door, the two women had stopped fighting.
Alex protected Patricia behind him and stared at Mandy, who was leaning on the basin. He asked coldly, "What have you done to Patricia?"
There was a large wet patch on Mandy's dress, but other than that, she seemed alright.
As to Patricia...
Tiffany paled when she glanced at her. Patricia was drenched from head to toe. Her hair was in a mess, and her buttons had fallen. There was a visible scratch across her neck as well.
What happened was evident. Whoever saw them would think that Mandy had assaulted Patricia. However, Tiffany didn't think that Mandy would've done that.
When Mandy heard Alex's interrogation, she chuckled coldly and shot back, "What have I done to her? Why don't you ask her what has she done to me?"
Patricia looked at her as though she
had been wronged. She gritted her teeth as tears glimmered in her
eyes. "Alex, I was only telling Msnet
Stewart about our upcoming engagement, but she suddenly went crazy-"
"That's nonsense!" Mandy exclaimed with widened eyes. Livid, she reared forward to hit Patricia.
Alex blocked her and questioned, "What are you doing?"
Mandy froze for a moment. She then pointed at Patricia, saying, "She's talking bullshit, so I'm going to rip her mouth off. We'll see whether she dares to spray me with dirty water then!" en
"You think she's framing you?" Alex glared at her coldly before continuing, "You're clean while Paticia is drenched. How are you shameless enough to say that she was the one attacking you?"
Gritting her teeth, Mandy questioned, "Alex, are those eyeballs of yours for show? Can't you see that my dress is dirty as well?"
"You aren't as dirty as Patricia!" Alex threw her hand off as he warned, "Ms. Stewart, this is the last time! If this happens again, I'll hit you even if Charles is there to protect you!"
Mandy trembled upon hearing that. However, Alex paid her no attention. He turned around to help Patricia up. His tone immediately turned gentle as he asked her, "Can you walk?"
She nodded, looking like a wreck.
Alex tried to help her out, but he was stopped when she cried out, "Alex, my necklace..."
He glanced at her neck. Indeed, the necklace was gone.
Patricia was looking straight at Mandy, making Alex think that Mandy had taken her necklace. After comforting Patricia, he walked to Mandy.
Alex extended an upturned palm and said expressionlessly, "Give the necklace back to Patricia."
Furious, Mandy snorted and asked, "Are you going to believe everything she says? Do you have an IQ of a ten-year-old?"
Alex did not reply. With the same frown on his face, he repeated, "The necklace!"
