Wolf-less Omega Luna

Chapter 1

Chapter 1

Alana's POV "Please, don't make me go there. I…I can't go there. Please," I begged as the panic began to set in. "Get up Alana, you witch. And get out before I unleash hell on you," Britney spat, her words coming off angrier than I had expected. She instantly directed all of her anger to her right fist, connected it with my jaw in one clean sweep, and then my side. I saw a smirk form on her thin lips. What did I expect from a high-ranked pack warrior? I instinctively cradled my stomach while choking on my cough, and her cold blue eyes glared at me in disgust as blood spurted on her black 6-inch heels. Today was going to be the death of me. My day-to-day activities for the last 10 years have been pretty much the same: I wake up, and serve as a slave to as many pack members as my fragile body can for hours, till I eventually fall asleep. In between, I could spare time for pack members to occasionally bully and beat me. I had done my omega duties as best I could for all this time but I was never made to come close to or clean out the Alpha's space. Why did Britney all of a sudden want me to go there? Why? Going there was a death sentence. Why? "And you had better make sure for your sake that nobody, I mean nobody, sees you there. If Alpha Axel comes back at midnight to find you still in his quarters, you'd be dead," she lashed out, pulling me from my reverie with a handful of my auburn hair. "If he doesn't kill you, I'll hang you myself." Axel Crescent Blackwood, the firstborn son of Micheal Crescent Blackwood the Alpha King, has been the pack leader for the last 7 years. His father and the generations before him, each ruled till it was his turn. He single-handedly led Crescent Moon pack to greatness. At 18, his father handed down the Alpha title to him. He didn't accept it, but left the pack and came back when he was 21. He traveled around the packs in the continent learning and forging alliances, and came back when he felt he had enough knowledge and resources to make the pack prosper. Since then, Crescent

Moon pack has advanced in size, fame, and properties. From a mediocre pack up north of the continent, we rose to become the richest and most feared in less than 5 years, thanks to Alpha Axel. I have only seen the Alpha a few times from a far distance to know that he's not one to cross paths with. His prowess at massacring beasts and monsters enveloped him in an aura that commanded fear and respect, surpassing even the previous Alpha. I, on the other hand, have been weak and pathetic. With no family members of mine around, I have been the slave of the pack and the only things I have to show for years of work are the clean dishes I put out. What I remember is that I had a happy home and a pack. I wasn't royalty, but I sure wasn't treated like trash. My pack was destroyed when I was 8 and I found myself here in Crescent Moon pack. Nobody talked to or associated with me, except for my friend Lexi, an omega like me, but a year older. Lexi and I didn't get along as friends at first. We were sworn enemies and quarreled every time till she eventually got on my nerves so much that I attacked her. Britney and a few other bullies caught us fighting and made us fight for hours, till we were both bleeding and half dead. We nursed each other's wounds, and she has since been my best girl. Today, I wouldn't be half dead, but completely dead once the Alpha sniffs me near his space. The only thought that occurred to me to get out of this mess was to beg. Maybe if I begged long and hard enough, Britney would let me clean somewhere other than the Alpha's room. "I have never been there before, and I don't think I can make the Alpha's room as sparkly as it deserves," I rambled on endlessly as tears dropped from the corners of my eyes. "If the alpha finds out that an omega like me was in his room, he might kill me. And I don't want to die, Britney, I don't want to die." I pleaded. The effect was like water pouring on a rock. She seized my throat and dug her long, sharp nails into my neck to let the crimson blood trickle down her hand. Cackling, she flung me against the wall and I heard a rib crack. Picking myself up from the dirt, I let out a weak groan as the pain kicked in. From a distance, I caught a glimpse of Britney strutting away, swaying her hips forcefully to let her buttocks jiggle

underneath her tight, short gown. "This won't be healing anytime soon," I mutter, looking at the blood trickling from my bedside. As I got up, I caught a few stares from passersby. Some commented pitifully, others snickered. It hurt, but I was used to it. Rox, are you there? I called out to my wolf, not expecting any answer. I got no response, not much to my surprise. I had my wolf when I was 13, which was normal for most werewolves. Life had become bearable with someone to talk to, and who better to have done it with than one who shared the same feelings as I did? But since the day Jerad and his cohorts of bullies beat and abandoned me in my pool of blood till I passed out, and woke up in the woods, I haven't been able to communicate with my wolf. It's like I lost yet another part of my family. The only mistake I made was looking Jerad's mate, Bonnie, in the eyes whilst she spoke to me. I awoke with a terrible headache and severe injuries that took weeks to heal. From then on till now, I haven't shifted once, I have slowly lost my healing abilities and I was slowly losing my life. I miss my wolf so much. I miss talking with her, laughing at her sarcastic comments about anything and everything and I miss running freely in the woods whenever I felt like I couldn't take it anymore. I picked up the bucket and supplies I needed to clean Alpha Axels' room and I pushed myself with the little strength I had, toward the main building. The alpha is bound to be back by midnight so I have three hours max, to finish and leave, I thought. I got to work immediately, sweeping out the dirt from underneath the bed and from outside the corners. I worked slowly, as the pain on my ribs intensified and I whimpered when the edge of the mahogany table brushed over my side. After working for what felt like forever, I glanced at the giant ancient wall clock perching over my small frame to realize that I still had over an hour before the Alpha would come back. Glimpsing around briefly to take my leave, I noticed the bed had some creases and I reached out to

tug on the edges to straighten it out. The bed felt like a thousand marshmallows put together. I haven't laid on a bed this soft for as long as I can remember. I leaned forward, arranging the pillows. You're playing with fire Alana, I thought to myself. But on second thought, I knew it wouldn't hurt to rest a while after a long day's work before heading back to the rat hole I called a room, so I stretched my legs over the soft bed, and let out a long, tired sigh. "Where have you been?" I hear with a growl. I think to myself, 'It must be in my head. In my imagination, or perhaps a dream.' "Get up." The commanding voice said, pulling me from my slumber and I jumped as I felt the bed compress under the weight of another. My head collided with a concrete frame and in my fear, I hurriedly muttered apologies to the creature who didn't move an inch. I lifted my head to glimpse a pair of dark blue eyes, flickering with lightning staring at me so coldly that I froze. Then it all kicked in. The Alpha found me sleeping on his bed. With my heart dropping to my stomach and my legs shaking, I muttered to myself, "I'm going to die." What caught me off guard were the words that followed his growl. "My property."NôvelDrama.Org holds this content.
