Chapter 7 Self-help
Chapter 7 Self-help
Tang Yang told Lu Ya to prepare the medicine. After comforting Nurse Qi for a while, he turned around
and left.
Nurse Qi never left Little Brother Huo, but she became scared once it turned dark.
Lu Ya also came over to see him. Two of them didn’t say anything, and looked at Little Brother Huo
holding their breath, fearing that he might die at any second.
However, Little Brother Huo was in a deep sleep all the time. Around 11, he woke up unexpectedly and
opened one eye to look at Nurse Qi. "Grandma, I'm hungry."
Nurse Qi was so surprised that she almost jumped up. After being seriously injured, Little Brother Huo
couldn't eat anything, including the goat's milk she got by begging.
She reached out and touched his forehead. It wasn't so hot now.
"The doctor's medicine worked. It worked!" Nurse Qi said to Lu Ya in surprise.
“Right, the medicine is working!” Lu Ya was very happy too.
The next day, Doctor Li was invited to the Prince Wenhao’s residence again.
Hearing that the boy was still alive, Doctor Li couldn’t believe it. "This boy is really lucky. He was dying."
Nurse Qi immediately knelt down and knocked her head against the ground. "Doctor, please prescribe
another medicine to save my grandson’s life."
Doctor Li was startled for a moment. The medicine he had prescribed yesterday could not cure Little
Brother Huo’s injury at all. At most, it was used for pain relief and sedation.
Perhaps, it worked by chance.
After testing Little Brother Huo's pulse, Doctor Li was sure that he was better than yesterday. His body
wasn’t so hot either.
He then prescribed another prescription. "Tell the maid to come with me to prepare the medicine. Take
this medicine for two days. There is medicine powder for you to apply to the wound. If you he keeps
getting better, we can prepare more for him."
“Thank you, doctor!”
"Who will pay for the treatment and medical fee?" asked Doctor Li.
Tang Yang had paid the treatment fee yesterday, but Nurse Qi had to settle today’s fee by herself.
Nurse Qi looked at the doctor's raised hand and asked tentatively, "Fifty?"
“Five hundred,” said Doctor Li unhappily.
He wasn’t a quack and didn’t prescribe cheap drugs.
Nurse Qi was stunned.
Five hundred? That was her salary of nearly half a year.
Her grandson had only taken medicines twice.
However, her grandson was more important than money. Nurse Qi made up her mind and gave the
doctor silver currency of five hundred’s worth.
Lu Ya accompanied Doctor Li to prepare the medicine. When she came back, she saw Nurse Qi
weeping, so she comforted her. "Nurse Qi, don't be sad. Little Brother Huo will definitely get better."
Nurse Qi said with strong hatred, "How come there is a such cruel person? I remember that I caught
her holding a knife and cutting my grandson's eye, I can’t wait to kill her. If anything wrong happened to
him, I’ll commit suicide after killing her!"
Lu Ya comforted her. "Don't be mad. It's not worth it to be angry and hurt yourself. The prince has
already ordered her to live on her own. She was injured so badly. I don’t think she can survive. I won't
give her food anyway. Whether she dies of illness or starvation, she deserves it!"
In Phoenix Mansion.
Yuan Qingling didn't know how long she had been in a coma, and slowly woke up. The room was
completely dark.
She was disappointed without returning to the lab in her dream.
Fumbling and crawling over, she got near the table. She remembered that there was tea and steamed
buns on it.
She needed water and some food. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
There was no glucose in the medicine box, so she couldn’t give herself fluid.
It only took a few steps, but she crawled for a long time. She struggled slowly to stand up but failed.
With a thump, she knelt down again. But fortunately she grabbed a steamed bun in her hand, and she
lay on the ground to eat it by small bites.
She knew that she was having a fever, so she didn’t eat too much to ease the burden on her digestive
system.
