“Dustin, stop!”

Clara rushed into the hall with some men. She saw that Dustin was about to attack Michael again.

Dustin looked at her indifferently.

“You finally showed up.” Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

She ran over and had someone help Michael up.

“How dare you? How dare you attack someone from Central Harbor?” Her face was cold as she yelled at Dustin openly. She behaved just like she did back home.

“I’m ordering you to apologize to Mr. Carson now!” Her tone left no room for argument.

It was a tone of voice that Dustin was very familiar with. He had heard it all the time growing up in the Wyatt family.

“Have you lost your mind, Clara?” Dustin sneered. “Do you think things are still the same as they used to be? I’m no longer part of the Wyatt family. You were the ones who kicked me out. You still think you can boss me around?”

Clara’s face stiffened.

Then, her gaze turned cold.

“I’m trying to save your life by asking you to apologize to Mr. Carson right now!” she said coldly. “The Carson family could kill you with just one word. I’m trying to help you, you idiot!”

“I don’t need your help, Miss Clara.” Dustin was unfazed.

Clara felt a lump in her throat and grew increasingly disgusted at Dustin.

“Miss Clara, is this man related to the Wyatt family?” Michael asked darkly.

“Mr. Carson, please don’t misunderstand. We kicked this man out of the family a long time ago. He has nothing to do with us. His actions are not related to the Wyatt family in any shape or form,” said Clara swiftly. “You can do with him as you please.”

“Well, then!” Michael looked delighted. He said with gritted teeth, “I’ll use the Carson family’s power and rip him apart!”

“Mr. Carson, I heard that the Carson family has a Mystic Token that can get the local authorities to answer to you. I wonder if that’s true?” Clara asked.

Michael’s eyes gleamed.

“Who’s in charge here?” he yelled.

Soon, a well–dressed middle–aged man walked over to them and introduced himself to Michael.

“I’m the mayor of Rivenesco. Please let me know what I can do for you, Mr. Carson.”

The mayor of Rivenesco had the biggest authority and had power over everything in Rivenesco.

Even he had to behave humbly toward Michael and take his orders. It showed just how powerful the Carson family’s Mystic Token was.

“Dustin, didn’t you say I couldn’t order you around? Well, I wonder if the mayor can order you around since you’re a civilian?” Clara said with a mocking smile.

Dustin looked at her calmly.

Clara was very clever and skilled at using others to do her bidding.

The appearances of Michael and the mayor seemed unrelated but were, in fact, part of a carefully planned scheme.

She pretended she was uninvolved when she had been the mastermind behind everything.

“You can’t order me around, and this puny mayor can’t either,” he said dismissively.

“How arrogant!” The mayor’s face darkened. He was not angry yet, but he still looked intimidating.

He clapped, and many people stormed into the hall. They surrounded Dustin and Simone.

Michael felt emboldened when he saw this.

“You punk, how many do you think you can beat? Fifty or a hundred?” he asked sarcastically.

“According to Lovellia’s laws, anyone who goes against the power of the Mystic Token may be exiled to the border or incarcerated indefinitely!” Clara said disdainfully.

“Mr. Carson, I think it’s best to exile him to the border. After all, not everyone can withstand the bitter cold of that place. It’s common for someone to be unable to survive the journey there.”

Once one was exiled to the border, they would have to walk day and night through icy terrain in chains. It was not unusual for someone to die of illness or fatigue on the way there.

“Let’s do that!” Michael nodded and grinned sinisterly.

There were many things he could do to Dustin if he was sent to the border.
