The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Chapter 2369

Chapter 2369

The room fell into stunned silence as everyone exchanged bewildered glances.

However, this was somewhat expected.

Grant was the only son of Gregory's late first wife. The Salvador Corporation and the entire Salvador family should have been his by right. However, due to his health, his younger brother, Justin, had been given the opportunity to rise.

Now that Grant had recovered, he was clearly determined to reclaim what he had lost.

Joining the Salvador Corporation was the first step in his quest to seize control!

It seemed that the power structure within the Salvador family was about to change. The tide was shifting!

At this moment, Paul stepped forward and announced in a serious tone. "We will now proceed with a vote on appointing Young Master Grant as an executive director on the Salvador Corporation's Board of Directors."

As soon as the words left his lips, three board members eagerly raised their hands.

Grant remained calm, but Gregory's eyes lit up, and he gave the three directors an approving look.

Seeing this, the others quickly followed suit.

After all, Grant was the rightful eldest son of the Salvador family, and he clearly had Gregory's favor. It was evident that Grant would become a figure of significant influence, standing on equal footing with Justin in the future.

Allowing him to join the board was a small compromise. No one wanted to risk upsetting Gregory over something trivial.

Besides, many of them had resentments with Justin. Though he had led the corporation to great success, bringing them immense profits year after year, his rigid and straightforward personality made him unapproachable.

In the blink of an eye, nearly every board member raised their hand.

Only Justin remained unmoved. His gaze was lowered, his posture composed, and he showed no reaction. Grant's lips curled into a faint, almost imperceptible smirk as he observed Justin's calm, indifferent demeanor. Grant's eyes, cold and unfathomable, were like a shadowy, primeval forest, cloaked in mystery.

"Justin, do you have an objection to your elder brother joining the board?" Gregory's tone deepened, carrying a faint note of interrogation as he addressed Justin's lack of response.

"With half of the board voting in favor, it's already a done deal," Justin responded coldly, neither angry nor particularly pleased. "My vote doesn't change anything. The chairman has gotten what he wanted. No point in making a big fuss about it, is there?"

The room fell silent. Some exchanged glances while others watched the family strife unfold with faint amusement.

Only Justin would dare to speak like this. He was truly a man whose authority rivaled even the head of the family!

Gregory's face turned pale. He had been publicly challenged, his chest filled with frustration, but he could not lash out in front of everyone and had to suppress it.

"Thank you for your support, everyone." Grant's dark eyes curled into a polite, graceful smile. "Many of you seated here are elders who fought alongside my father to build this corporation. You are not just colleagues but mentors to me. I look forward to learning from all of you in the future and humbly seek your guidance. Thank you in advance."

His words had the soft, warm touch of a gentle spring breeze, leaving the board members feeling flattered and pleased.

Could Justin have spoken like this? No, not at all! Justin was nowhere near as capable of charming the room. Applause erupted, solidifying Grant's entry into the board.

With measured steps, Grant took a seat opposite Justin. Their eyes met, and an invisible wave of tension seemed to ripple through the conference room, threatening to overturn the very walls.

"Next, let's have Justin introduce the details of the A5 project, Gregory said, sitting down with a lingering trace of displeasure in his gaze.

Justin lowered his eyes, picked up the project file, and walked to the podium. Standing before the illuminated screen, he addressed the board.

Applause broke out, and the matter was settled. Grant had officially joined the board. He moved slowly to the seat directly opposite Justin.

As their gazes locked, the air in the room seemed to crackle with an unseen tension, as if a raging storm was about to break loose.

"Next, we will have Mr. Justin Salvador introduce the details of the A5 project."

Gregory sat down, still unable to hide the resentment in his gaze.

Justin lowered his brow, picked up the project document, and walked to the stage. Standing in front of the lit projection screen, he faced the audience.

"The A5 project is a key initiative supported by the Savrow government over the next five years. The

estimated initial investment for the first phase is..."

Suddenly, a loud buzzing sound exploded in Justin's mind. His tall body swayed unsteadily.

The board members, including Gregory, stared at him in shock.

"The investment.." Justin's forehead beaded with sweat as the world around him spun.

A deep, cold, nauseous sensation churned in his gut, tormenting him.

Paul noticed Justin's discomfort and quickly stepped forward, lowering his voice in concern. "Mr. Justin, are you alright? Are you feeling unwell?"

"I'm fine..." But before he could finish, Justin's clenched fist began to tremble uncontrollably.

Blood rushed to his head, and in an instant, everything went black.

With a thud, his body lurched forward and collapsed.

"Mr. Justin!" Paul was horrified, rushing forward to catch him, but it was too late.

The room was in chaos as everyone jumped to their feet. Gregory's face turned pale as he shouted in panic," Call an ambulance!"

Justin lay on the ground, his body slightly convulsing.

In the brief moment before he lost consciousness, he clearly saw Grant's gentle and refined face with a faint, sinister smile that pierced Justin's heart like a dagger.

Then, everything went dark.

Meanwhile, Bella and Drew worked remotely, even getting help from Ralph. After several hours of tracking. they finally located the black van.

On the phone, Ralph, worried about his mischievous younger sister, repeatedly asked, "Bella, what exactly are you planning? Please don't do anything dangerous, alright?! If you do, I'll have to report it to Wyatt and have him punish you!"

Bella chuckled mischievously, teasing him. "Relax. Steve's with me. If there's danger, he'll handle it."

Steven was surprised.

"Ah, okay... Wait! No, that's not right! Steve can't! He's already engaged to Amelia, and she's pregnant with his child. How can you bear to let my nephew grow up without a father?!" Ralph panicked.

Steven grew anxious, his brow beading with sweat as he was left speechless. At first, Bella's words seemed to make sense, but on second thought, he could not help but wonder if she was secretly mocking him.

"Alright, I was just joking."

Looking across the deserted street, Bella's gaze turned icy as she stared at the old private hospital building. Her lips curled slightly. "I won't put myself in danger anymore. Don't worry."

After reassuring Ralph, she hung up, and Steven quickly volunteered. "Ms. Bella, let me go in and check!"Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Bella's eyes flashed with a decisive coldness and she answered, "No, I'll go."

Steven was anxious. "Ms. Bella!"

"The situation inside might be complicated. Steve, I admit you're an excellent secretary, but you lack practical experience in infiltration. It's safer for me to go."

"But you're still injured..."

"It doesn't matter. This isn't an issue. Follow my instructions and prepare everything I need. Tonight, I'll take

action!"
